Magnificent hotel, beautifully situated. Great staff and solid food.

Terrible experience. Despite having reserved many months ahead, we were given rooms on the part of the fourth floor not served by an elevator. Not a great result for older folks. We were not clear why we got the worst rooms in the hotel when we had reserved so far in advance. The attendant, in a tired white undershirt, did not represent the hotel well. The 4th floor rooms were run down and the hottest in the hotel with no way to moderate temperature. Opening hte window was no solution due to noise from the nightlife just outside. While the the hotel is conveniently situated, location doesn;'t overcome the downsides.

Great staff and location. Upper floor room had a funny configuration but worked out ok.

Lovely little glimpse into local culture and economy. Short walk from hotel was lovely.

Magnificent town with some good walks.

Lovely town. Sadly, time to explore was curtailed trying to deal with luggage lost by the airline.

Parking is very limited for size of hotel. Front desk staff could have been more helpful.

Decent dinner buffet, breakfast was ok, however we had a substantial surcharge for gluten free bread.

Spa feature is special here. Beautiful location and outdoor hot tub overlooking mountains and fjord.

Beautiful hotel, pride of ownership clearly evident. Service impeccable, lovely one night stay as town is small.

I wouldn’t recommend it particularly if you’ve already been on the ferry as you will not see anything new. Very basic, nothing special.

The day we booked our spa there was a huge convention going on and it was crazy busy. Hotel gave us a free pass for the following day which was much quieter. Nice way to decompress after long driving or hiking days.

Go for the joy of kayaking more than the scenery as we really didn’t go anywhere you couldn’t see from land

Booked e-bikes but only got regular bikes. Tour was pretty basic.

I asked to change rooms so that we could have a view of the water. Our room was small, but the view was exceptional. They had two chairs in front of the window that were quite comfortable to sit and look out. The location on the water was what made this hotel special to me.

We were upgraded to a very large room, which was nice. The buffet was great. The staff was quite helpful.

The location is good. The room was clean and neat and adequate in size. The buffet breakfast at all of our hotels were excellent, but this one was especially good.

Initially, we were placed in a suite room in the historic section. We had to change rooms because that room had a steep wooden staircase from the bathroom up to the sleeping area. I would not recommend that room. The à la carte restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed two lovely meals there. Salmon was cooked excellently and the chicken in Norway is so tender.

Nice but crowded

Seeing the fjords from the water is quite different than from our land. It is more dramatic. The guide on the boat was quite informative and great to listen to.

We did the Sugar top hike. It was quite difficult, but I felt worth it to see the 360° views at the top.

we walked up instead of taking the Funicular up. We did write it down. The restaurant at the top was very nice. We did eat dinner there at sunset which was lovely.

Bergan is not on a fjord. It is one of the larger cities in Norway so I guess seeing it is part of the experience of Norway. I did not find it particularly interesting. We did eat dinner at the restaurant at the top of the funicular at sunset. It was lovely.

Loved the rib Safari trip.

It was a very hazy day, but still enjoyable to see the view

I did not enjoy the city of Flam. Alesund is a much prettier area without the cruise ship. We also took a very short hike and I would’ve enjoyed a longer one. Fjord Safari is an excellent organization and their guides are informative and fun.

I don’t believe we used this information. We had Reed on our own about Oslo and chose to do some things

A bit out of the way, but otherwise just fine.

Our original room had absolutely no view, so we asked if there was a room available with a view. The staff kindly changed our room to the front of the hotel and we then had a delightful view of Bergen! It was lovely to see all of the activities below.

Lovely ride on the ferry and a beautiful walk to the waterfall. That’s about all we had time for.

Driver was friendly and prompt.

Since we were not interested in a city experience, an afternoon was long enough for us to see the sights.

We stayed here for about 8 days. They allowed us to get into our rorbu as soon as it was ready even if was before check in. I really appreciated this after so much travel. The help at the office was exceptional!!! We absolutely loved Alexandra and Alejandro who we were consulting for everything. They truly love their jobs. We couldn't thank them enough. They helped make our time in Norway so special!!!

Our room was clean and the view across the harbor was beautiful. The staff were super nice and helpful. The breakfast was awesome!

This based solely on my husband's view as he is a fisherman. I was sea sick. Lol. Too short of a trip for him.

Our guide, photographer Geir Notnes, took every measure to make sure our group saw the Northern Lights. He helped us with our cameras and/phone cameras to take the best pics as possible. We stopped in three or four different locations to see this amazing phenomenon in different landscapes. He also gave us a lesson on why is happens and how to recognize them.

It was a long day but so worth it! It was just the right fitness level for everyone in our group. It was an experience I'll never forget. Our guide was fit, knowledgeable, and took our safety as top priority. We felt a little rushed on the Glacier but still managed to get some great pics.

It was a great way to start the trip. We wanted to familiarize ourselves with Bergen and some of its history before walking around ourselves. Eirik who was our guide was fun and so knowledgeable on everything about Bergen. We loved him!

I loved the Bergen Børs Hotel. It was tremendous and centrally located, which made exploring Bergen very easy. We had a loft room to accommodate my family, and it worked out great for us.

The Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Oslo, was extremely packed during our stay. However, it served its purpose since we weren't spending much time there. It was a bit away from the center of everything, but overall, it was fine for our short stay.

The Kviknes Hotel in Balestrand was fine and met our needs. It's old and doesn't have a lot of amenities, but this Euro-style accommodation seemed perfect for the location, especially since we were mostly out exploring and only needed a place to sleep.

The Mathallen Food Court Visit was unfortunately a miss for us. We didn't realize it was closed on the day we attempted to visit, so we ended up finding something else to do.

Great guide who led us throughout the city (easy to bike the entire area).

Incredibly helpful staff, good location right off the ferry and 10 minutes to the airport. Was just a layover stop for us but nice to look out over the water.

Solid, upscale and centralized location you won't spend any time in because being outside is key to being in this town. Great water views.

Central to everything, large rooms for Europe, helpful staff. Solid choice.

Quaint town with a great location on the water. It was busy with fishing groups but never loud or a problem. It was fun to watch them come in and visit about their catch of the day. The location is close to hiking trails. Amazing views and northern lights from our deck.

Our favorite! The northern lights cabins were insta worthy. Can't describe the beauty from our deck and large windows. Northern lights dancing over head and hot tubs to relax after hiking. The owner is friendly and so helpful. The staff in the café made special pizza at our request. Breakfast was very generous. Location can't be beat for access to national park across the road

Unique experience in beautiful cabins. Probably only needed one cabin for the whole family of 5. Owners are entertaining and helpful. Very generous with use of space and helped us with ingredients for our fish fry. Check out the handmade sweaters the owner makes. They are amazing. So special they were handmade

Great hotel in a great location. Excellent staff who upgraded our room when they saw how crowded we were and with my wife's mobility difficulties. They could do with handing out a clear guide to the parking situation, I got lost trying to get back from leaving the car when in fact I was only 5 minutes away!

This hotel is pretty old and the public areas are very nice, but the room we had was old and tired and although the bathroom had been updated the beds were poor and the room too cold.

Amazing views in places and just exciting to go up and down so steeply, albeit very slowly.

Great cruise on an electrical powered carbon fibre boat. Getting back on the shuttle bus was a bit confusing and there is no where to site while waiting outdoors for the bus. Viking village was very good, interesting with nice faux Vikings to talk to. Axe throwing definitely top fun. Good restaurant at the village.

The location was great - a short walk from the ferry terminal and close to buses. It is close to many of the places a tourist would want to visit. The reception staff were very helpful and the breakfasts, vika and dinners were well provided. There was a lovely area where you could relax with a coffee or tea .

The hotel is a short walk from the quay . It has a superb location and the front part is beautifully decorated . The breakfast was exceptional .

Great location near to the bus station and the quay . Our accommodation was modern and fresh and overlooked the fjord - quite magical !

The reception staff were extremely helpful and the location was great - a tram stop was very close by . Definitely recommend!

Ole did a great job taking us to different places and introducing us to Norwegian food as well as explaining some of the background and history of the places we walked through. Very entertaining and informative . Well paced.

The scenery was breathtaking even in the rain .

We booked a Viking Bike tour of Oslo city which was a highlight of our Oslo visit . The guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about Norway , Oslo , past and present.

Loved this hotel. The location is wonderful. It’s on a very quiet side street with lovely flowers in the middle of the street near all the sights. The room is colorful, clean, modern, compact, and our room was very quiet. Would definitely recommend.

What a location! The hotel was lovely in an incredible location and the breakfast area and dining room were very nice. Would definitely recommend staying here for Flam. We stayed in an historic room. It was very quiet, with lovely sheets, and a modern bathroom. However, the chairs and sofa in the room needs to be restuffed. We couldn’t sit on them - but that wasn’t a problem. Also, although the bathroom is modern and lovely, our room had a ball and claw tub which would be a challenge for some people to use.

Very nicely furnished, comfortable linens, modern bathroom, clean, nice to have a living room and a bedroom. The food and dining room was very nice. Lots of places to sit and talk. The city itself doesn’t have much in it to do but we enjoyed hiking

We really enjoyed this RIB boat experience. It was different from the RIB boat experience in Flam. If you were only picking one of the two to do, we’d pick the one in Flam with the cheese tasting. However, this was also wonderful and we’re so, so glad we got to do both. The scenic beautiful out on the fjord is spectacular! The tour guide was knowledgeable and being on the water in both towns was truly memorable! This is definitely worth doing!

What a wonderful experience! This is a fun, informative, interesting, and very tasty activity! The owner showed us part of the apple orchard as he explained the history of their business, the kinds of apples grown, the cider making process, etc. He was lively and interesting. Then, we had a tasting of 5 types of cider with food pairings (we did the late afternoon cider pairings with snacks). The food and cider were delicious and the setting, sitting on their beautiful terrace overlooking part of their orchard, was lovely. We highly recommend this activity!

Surprisedly good! We really enjoyed seeing areas we did not get to see otherwise. It was just the right mix of information, the right length of time at each stop, and it was a good length overall. We enjoyed this more than we expected. We would recommend it!

This was truly awesome! This was one of the highlights of our month trip! The scenery is absolutely spectacular and the guide was lively, very informative, interesting, and just delightful. The cheese tasting and the information on the town and cheese making was very interesting. The RIB boat company was very professional, gave great information, and the boats were very nice. Don’t miss this! It’s wonderful!

Loved the location on the pier. There was a lot of variety on the menu and the food was good.

Terrific! The guide was wonderful! He was knowledgeable, cheerful, gave us a lot of information about Oslo, paced the walk perfectly for the people in the group. It was a lovely 1/2 day trip and we really enjoyed it.

The food was fine but we didn’t think it was anything special. If you go there, fine. But, there’s so many other restaurants to try.

We got to taste bites of a lot of different foods and we learned a lot. The tour guide’s knowledge and information was very good. However, the guide had a cold, non-conversational demeanor. We felt that a bubbly or warm or more engaging tour guide would have improved the tour. Also, Kim-Kim did notify the tour company of our allergies/dietary restrictions and the guide did ask at the beginning of the tour if anyone had allergies. But, the food choices could have been arranged ahead of time to easily accommodate our needs. Because we didn’t want to make a big deal in front of others, we just didn’t eat some of the items. Having said all this, we still enjoyed the tour and felt very lucky to have tasted so many interesting items and we learned so much.
