Unlock the secrets of Cretan cuisine and the island's famed vineyards with a cooking class and wine tasting. This experience takes place in AVLI's beautiful venue combines a 5-course dinner with a wine cellar visit. You'll learn about fine Cretan wines and taste a few varieties. 

All the dishes you'll make and enjoy are created with pure Cretan products, including olive oil, vegetables, cheese, meat, seafood, wine, and more. All of the ingredients are fresh and local to the island. A chef will share valuable information about herbs, olive oil, and other ingredients while explaining their importance in Cretan cuisine. 

You'll start in a breezy courtyard with an introduction to the Cretan culture, history, gastronomy, and customs. You'll learn the language behind the food while sipping local wine, then roll up your sleeves and discover the perfect Cretan-inspired appetizer, main course, and dessert. When you've finished cooking, it’s time to enjoy your meal the Cretan way and get to know one another with stories. You'll savor a five-course dinner by candlelight, followed by a traditional shot of raki.

After dinner, join your host in the wine cellar and explore the many varieties from Crete. As you sip on different grapes, you'll learn about the island's wine regions and receive tasting notes.
