Family Food Tour & Cooking in Rome, Rome

Overview

In this family-friendly tour of Rome’s food culture, you’ll first enjoy the city’s markets and then learn how to make traditional pizza on your own. Kids and families love this experience, as it offers lifetime memories and teaches new skills. You’ll visit Rome's most beautiful and ancient market, Campo de Fiori, where you will learn about local cuisine and taste typical Italian products.

As you make your way to the market, your guide will explain the history of its neighborhood. Pass through the stalls, enjoy tasting different goods, and learn about the authenticity of the raw materials. In total, you’ll try 15 different bites, including some of the best and most special Italian cold cuts at the Norcineria shop. You’ll also taste different cheeses, varieties of balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil, pates (the classic pesto and another based on seasonality), and two liqueurs (a limoncello and a cream of your choice).

After the market tour, you’ll start your pizza-making class at a restaurant in the heart of Rome. You’ll start by creating your dough from scratch, learning about tomato sauce, and then choosing toppings from fresh ingredients. Once you’ve completed your masterpiece, bake your pizza and enjoy it for lunch with juice or a glass of wine!
