Shop at Souk Al Had in Agadir, Agadir

Overview

Souk Al Had is the largest souk in the region and one of the most extensive in Africa. Despite having over 6,000 stalls, it's surprisingly easy to navigate, and you'll find everything from pajamas to watermelon here! Some favorite goods to take home include pottery, footwear, and rugs, plus other crafts, musical instruments, jewelry, and home furnishings.

Although this market can get busy, it isn't very touristy and more laid back than the souks in Marrakech, for example. Additionally, haggling isn't as common here, which might appeal to you if you're nervous about Morocco's bartering culture. With 12 different gates, you can map the areas that you'd like to visit or walk around the outer wall if it gets too busy on the inside. And even if you don't want to buy anything, it's still an interesting place just to wander.
