Follow an exciting scavenger hunt to help you find a special outfit to wear. Kids lead the way as you roam through one of the most picturesque neighborhoods of Venice. This tour is an excellent way to get in touch with the hidden side of Venice and learn about Carnival traditions, the mysterious world of masks, and the city’s glorious decadence of the 18th century.

As you follow the clues, you’ll eventually reach your costume expert, who is waiting for you at the museum, Ca’ Goldoni! Here you’ll join a mask-painting workshop. Take some time to peruse the authentic masks in the displays to get some inspiration, then choose from 20 styles of white paper-mâché models. Once you have your mask and inspiration, your host will teach you some techniques. After drying and glazing, pack your mask and take it safely with you to wear at home!

Afterward, you can opt to explore the rest of Ca’ Goldoni. This lovely museum sits in a Venetian palazzo and displays a puppet theater, plus various masks, costumes, and interesting 18th-century paintings.
