Overview

Located in the Medina of Marrakesh, Palais Sebban is a centuries-old riad that offers an exceptionally central base to explore the city. Its prime location in the upscale district of Ksour, surrounded by the oldest residences of the city, provides guests with easy access to many of Marrakesh's attractions. In addition to Jemaa el-Fna Square, you'll be within a short walk of the Koutoubia Minaret, the Almoravid Koubba, and the Ben Youssef Mosque.

Palais Sebban's rooms feature ornate Moroccan-Andalusian architecture and furnishings. Each of the 25 air-conditioned rooms is equipped with a private bathroom with a bathtub or shower, a minibar, and free WiFi. Private terraces and patios are also one of the highlights of the hotel, many with views over the city.

The hotel features original woodwork, ceilings, walls, and doors. With its exquisite detailing, stunning architecture, and welcoming staff, Palais Sebban offers an authentic Morrocan experience.

Authenticity & Character
The decorations were amazing the carved plaster, tile mosaics and painted wood gave you a good sense of how these homes were original appointed.

Staff
The first two staff members that we interacted with were horrific. They were inpatient and took actions that we specifically did not want them to do on our behalf. The remainder of our stay the staff were helpful- but with the ability to provide and overall rating, the weak staff pull down the rating.
Cleanliness & Comfort
Our room was near a banquet room and the noise was quite a challenge. There was a wall of windows and doors that faced the inner courtyard with a set of stairs that were used to get to other rooms. The window coverings were inadequate to provide privacy. The room was equipped with a dehumidifier and three aroma diffusers. The scents were overwhelming. The sitting area had authentic furniture but was in need of repair.

The Riyadh in Marrakesh was really nice. Our room was laid out in an odd way with the showers and bathrooms located kind of in the middle of the room, which wasn't ideal for privacy when traveling with my daughter. It was a bit quirky, but I guess that's part of the charm of these older historical buildings. Overall, it was a good experience staying there.

Loved this charming hotel with a great location in the Medina. It was excellent for exploring but also for getting outside of the Medina walls to see some of the broader city. Lots of stairs, so something to note for those who need a level of accessibility. Wish the pool area would have felt more welcoming, but not a bit deal. Read more
