4.7 (51 reviews) · Comfort
A historic Moroccan-Andalusian riad with intricate architecture, an outdoor patio with a pool, and rooms with balconies

Overview

Located in the Medina of Marrakesh, Palais Sebban is a centuries-old riad that offers an exceptionally central base to explore the city. Its prime location in the upscale district of Ksour, surrounded by the oldest residences of the city, provides guests with easy access to many of Marrakesh's attractions. In addition to Jemaa el-Fna Square, you'll be within a short walk of the Koutoubia Minaret, the Almoravid Koubba, and the Ben Youssef Mosque.

Palais Sebban's rooms feature ornate Moroccan-Andalusian architecture and furnishings. Each of the 25 air-conditioned rooms is equipped with a private bathroom with a bathtub or shower, a minibar, and free WiFi. Private terraces and patios are also one of the highlights of the hotel, many with views over the city.

Beyond the charm of its numerous outdoor spaces and amenities, including a spa and beautiful pool, what truly sets Palais Sebban apart is its historical character dating to the 18th and 19th centuries. The hotel features original woodwork, ceilings, walls, and doors. With its exquisite detailing, stunning architecture, and welcoming staff, Palais Sebban offers an authentic Morrocan experience.

Perfect place to spend our last two nights in Morocco. The terraces were very large and relaxing. The bar was inviting and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet offered a large selection of fresh and tasty food. The restaurant served a fantastic menu all day for lunch and dinner. On Friday night the restaurant features live music and a belly dancer. The music was lovely and the dancer was fun and engaging.

When we checked out there were some charges on the bill for some food items we hadn't gotten. Fortunately, the receptionist suggested double-checking the bill before we paid and cleared up the accidental charges without hesitation. This did not seem like a regular occurrence and was obviously an accident. It only took an extra few minutes at checkout and the receptionist was apologetic.

Authenticity & Character
A true riad inside the walls of old Marrakech, filled with picturesque mosaic and lush, colorful gardens. Great food always available.
Location
A short walk from the square and market
Staff
Staff were quick and always available to help.
Cleanliness & Comfort
There were a lot of flies, but that seemed normal for Marrakech in general. Otherwise perfect.

The photos of the lovely Palais Sebban are accurate. It is truly THAT beautiful. Breakfast near the pool each morning was scrumptious, and the two rooms used by our multigenerational family of six were independently interesting and intriguing. We loved all the hidden corners and winding stairs. Breakfast staff members were so very friendly and great with our 8-year-old and 13-year-old kids. Read more

Great location. Beautiful in appearance. Hotel room looked old and tired. No privacy between bathroom and bedroom ( It was a see through wooden carved door). Not adequate lighting in room. Heavy drapes and cushions harbor allergens so people with allergies need to take anti histamines if they stay here. All Riads have stairs everywhere but not adequate support. Needs handrails on either side of stairs. Breakfast was average. Cheese seemed stale and bread was hard. Mesamen was fresh and great... Read more

It was a Riad with the most Beautiful interior we had yet seen in Morocco. It felt like we were moved back in History and time.
It's location with respect to the Central Square Jemaa el Fna is prefect. Access to Qutubia Mosque was also convenient.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
We would have preferred a bit more lighting or brightness level in our room -- but it was what it was. Dim lights.
This Riad did not have a TV in the room - but the internet Wifi was strong - so who...

Located with easy access to the Medina and Jemaa El Fna square, yet it is away from the noise of the Medina.

It is clean, perfect plumbing, just that room was dimly lit, and access to the Breakfast nook is across up and down stairs

Beautiful Riad and wonderful staff. This Riad is an oasis in the middle of the Medina and provides a wonderful place to escape from the hectic pace of Marrakech. Just hang out in the courtyard and enjoy the lovely surroundings with the sound of running water and the lush greenery.
The food has been great and we were very comfortable.
