Riad Chergui, Marrakesh

We really enjoyed this Riad, once we got used to the walk through the narrow, twisting alleys to the very unpretentious entrance door. Then, like so many other medina riads, it opens into a hidden world. It is inside the very large medina and we greatly enjoyed being able to wander at will.

The room opened into the courtyard and everyone else's room so you can hear everything. The didn't have clear information when we first arrived and thought we were there a day yet, so that wasn't great on our first day.

Friendly staff. Chilly rooms in winter; would probably be nice in the heat of summer. Steep, narrow steps to rooms. Center courtyad with pool. Traditional family-style breakfast. Rooms are dimly lit with limited outlets - so you can charge your phone or have the light on.

Great location, easy to find and be independent to get to the Souks.

Loved staying at the Riad Chergui. Wonderful staff, beautiful and peaceful property. Loved the pool area and having breakfast and the bar to relax and enjoy the quiet from the busy chaos of Marrakech. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The common areas retain the charm and authenticity of their history.

Very authentic and the service was amazing by the proprietor.

Stunning Riad with good sized rooms, great staff & a beautiful pool right in the courtyard! We stayed 2 nights and had a wonderful time - it was a nice, tranquil atmosphere, which was especially lovely after the busyness of Marrakech!
