Dar Rihana Dades, Boumalne Dades

Dar Rihanna in the Dades Gorge area was quite out of the way, but close to hiking, and had excellent breakfast and dinners.

During our stay at Dar Rihanna Dades, we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of accommodation provided. The hotel manager, Mohammed, left an unforgettable impression on us with his warm and welcoming personality, friendly demeanor, and great sense of humor. He made us feel right at home and we enjoyed a delightful conversation with him after dinner. The hotel itself was stylishly designed, immaculately clean, and owned and operated by a family, which added a personal touch to our experience. The meals we had were absolutely delicious and we were highly impressed with the attentive and outstanding service provided by the staff. Overall, it was a truly magnificent stay that exceeded our expectations in every way possible.

We absolutely loved our stay at this guest house and are so glad we included it in our itinerary! It was the smallest riad we stayed at and felt very intimate. The room was beautiful and had a sofa and balcony with sun lounges. Our room had a spectacular view of the mountainside, and we loved stargazing from the balcony at night. The rooms had heating and air conditioning, which helped given the temperature variation. The riad looks very small from the outside, but it is absolutely gorgeous on the inside. We were the only guests on our first night and felt extremely pampered! The brothers who run the guest house were particularly hospitable and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

The meals here were the best of our trip! The kitchen serves a mix of African and French-inspired cuisine. The portions were huge at both breakfast and dinner (five courses). We particularly enjoyed the olive sampler that was served at the beginning of dinner and the fresh zucchini and pumpkin soups, which added some delicious variety to the typical rotation of tagines. One of us is pescatarian, and we really appreciated how the kitchen staff went out of their way to prepare salmon for me after we asked for a meal with more protein. FYI, alcohol was not available for purchase at this hotel or any of the stores in Dades, but they’re happy to serve wine you bring with you. Dinner costs about $25/head each night and is well worth it. We appreciated being able to pay for both dinners by credit card at the end of our stay (there are no ATMs in or near Dades).

The town of Dades itself is very small, but we enjoyed walking around the fields behind the hotel. There was a lovely outdoor pool, but it was too cold for us to use during our stay in February.

We were super impressed with the overall hospitality offered by the amazing three-brother team at Dar Rihana. Guests are welcomed with a delightful homemade orange/ginger/honey tissane that is one for the books ; accompanied by delicate home baked almond biscuits. The youngest brother is a talented chef so every meal is a sheer delight.
Decor is modern and inviting. The views are spectacular and the surroundings peaceful. The brothers make every effort to assure guests are satisfied on so many levels. We were super impressed by our stay at Dar Rihana!

Great dinner and comfortable guest room

This was my favorite riad because of the great food!!!! Dinner was a complete surprise - gourmet cooking in the middle of the Dades! The food was traditional but with a contemporary flare that made it amazing. I'd give the chef a 5-star rating!!! Even more for his ingenuity :)

The style of the riad is interesting - it retains its authenticity but has a flare with modern elements. The terrace and the pool!!!! Beautiful in the setting of the mountains and greenery of the valley!!!

The entry to the riad is simple, giving no hint of what is to come. The welcome of lemon tea was a lovely surprise...an elegant switch from the mint tea.

The three brothers who run this hotel are special. One a gourmet chef, one the welcome ambassador and the other as support. Sweet rooms, lovely dining room and a break from Ryad.

Beautiful Dar in small village. The staff was excellent, the food was like dining in 5 star restaurant. The restaurant used traditional Moroccan foods, but then put skittle twist in them. Fusion at its best! I wish this restaurant was closer to me.family owned and run
