Both Mendoza and the nearby town of Chacras de Coria are famous for their restaurants and vineyards. With only 8.4 miles (13.5 km) between them, travel options between the two are efficient and straightforward. Rather than waste time waiting for a bus, take a taxi or rental car to cover the short distance.

For a tour that includes time to explore both of these places, as well as other highlights around Argentina, consider this 10-day itinerary.

By Rental Car or Private Transfer

Duration: 15 minutes

By taking a rental car, you will have total control over your departure time from Mendoza and your destination(s) in Chacras de Coria. The route is simple: use Acceso Este to get onto RN40, drive due south, then get off the highway and continue to your destination in Chacras de Coria. There's an alternate route via Corredor del Oeste Juan Domingo Perón, but RN40 is the fastest (and simplest) way to go.

Several rental car companies have offices in and around Mendoza, including Hertz, Avis, and MDZ Rent a Car. You'll find most offices in Mendoza International Airport (MDZ) or off of Avenida San Martín in the center of town near Plaza Independencia.

A private transfer is an excellent option if you plan on traveling directly from the airport or your hotel to another hotel in Chacras de Coria. You can find remises, private taxis, at Mendoza International Airport, or you can book in advance with your local specialist.

By Taxi

Duration: 15 minutes

If you plan on traveling from another part of Mendoza to a vineyard or restaurant in Chacras de Coria, a taxi could be your best option. The taxi driver will take the task of navigation off your shoulders, and, should a vineyard tour be in your future in Chacras de Coria, it may be wise to hire a taxi for the day to provide transportation in town. Ask at your accommodations in Mendoza for a recommendation for a good driver, or simply ask your driver for their card or Whatsapp number after your trip.
