The journey from the coffee fields of Minca to the beaches in Tayrona National Park is only around 14 miles (23 km).

Hiring a car is by far the easiest and most convenient option, and the ride along Route 90 only takes 40 minutes.

If you'd like to spend even more time relaxing along the Colombian coast, consider this 8-day itinerary.

By Private Transfer

Duration: 40 minutes

There are plenty of private drivers in Minca who are willing to make the short journey to Tayrona, but there are plenty of other backpackers and tourists who are also making the journey, so make sure to shop around for prices to get the best deal.

Minca's relative remoteness makes for especially rewarding scenery, but this also means that portions of the road can be a bit rough, so consider taking a 4x4.

Once you have arrived in Tayrona, the driver will go past the ticket point and take you to the designated drop-off. From there, you will have to make the rest of the trek to the beaches on foot.
