Wonderful staff and great amenities. Breakfast buffet is just ok but lunch/dinner food is fantastic. And what a view! Some hot springs pools and swim-up bar pool could be warmer and the bathroom in the rooms could be updated but overall, it was an incredible stay.

Staff, food, location, and amenities were all wonderful. Lots of places to dine within walking distance. There was no A/C in our bedroom but luckily we did not need it as it was very cool at night.

Clearly, a new hotel as everything was modern, clean, and new. Such a nice staff and within walking distance to many places to go out at night. Only a $10 cab to the beach.

Our tour guide was sensational and so knowledgeable. A must do to get great views of the volcano.

I booked a teepee, and as nice and cleaned it was, it was also not sound proof at all, which was really the only bad thing. The location and staff was great :D

Nice little hotel, clean and 5min away from the main area of Monteverde. I know the view is advertised in the description, I wasn't mind blown, but the hotel is worth its value for the cost. Would stay again Note: I had a bit of an issue checking out early, I had to wait until 7 for somebody to open the reception. If you need to check out early, make sure you arrange it prior to the day

OK.. this was honestly beyond my expectation. I was picked up at my hotel by the coffee farmer, his wife and his daughter. This experience felt super authentic ( I think most other coffee tours and night walks in Monteverde are more touristy). We saw a tarantula, a toucan sleeping and got a full intro to how coffee is made and how it is supposed to be consumed

This was fun and it felt very safe. Lots of zip lines and high sensations. Downsize: the shuttle was late to pick me up, and once down with the activity I had to wait 45 min at the zip line office to get a ride back (they only have shuttles every hour, so if you miss one, you have to wait for 1h)

I cannot stress enough how amazing this was. I almost cancelled this activity because it was a 5 am pickup, but I am so glad I didn't. This day was the highlight of my journey in Costa Rica. Beyond the adrenaline of rafting through the rapids, the scenery of the river Pacuare is fantastic. You feel like you are in a movie. Plus breakfast and Lunch were included

Mistico Hanging Bridges were great. Lots of animals and birds. Guide had good eyes. Claire and I being 80 did not hike down to the waterfall.

nice easy trip. Saw lots of neat flora and fauna. Good guide - good boat operator. Everything moves at the right speed to see everything.

liked the raft more than the boat. river was up so no getting out and dragging the raft. Flow was such that the trip was too short. Guess we can.t have everything. GOOD GUIDE. Had good eyes.

Ain't no jaguars here. Rescue center for others. mainly baby sloths. CCTV would have been appreciated, Understand the need to keep them isolated. Short trip and worthwhile

Good intro to Bribri. Enjoyed introduction initial presentation. Nice tour of medicinal plants. Understand thee chocolate process better. Will buy some beans stateside and try it. Good video of cracking the roasted cocoa beans.

I realize that we were traveling during the peak season, so finding a place to stay was challenging. One of our rooms was a little smelly but that may have had to do with the septic tank. The staff were not as happy as the other hotels, but again, I appreciate that we had a clean safe place to stay.

Very cute, family run lodge. Loved that they were so friendly and cared about everyone who stayed here. The staff made sure that we had a large enough table for every meal of our stay (8 ppl) We really enjoyed taking the cooking class - made empanadas. Bring a magnet from your home town so that she can display it on her wall. (I will be sending her one)

Andy was amazing! He knew so much about the history of Costa Rica and the different regions.

Geiner was an excellent host and knew so much about the history of chocolate and fermentation process. We really enjoyed our tour/demonstration.

I'm so glad that Charlotte scheduled us to visit this Institute. It seemed like our guide was used to more scientific groups than a family with four teens. But we did learn a lot about the region and original rain forest

The location of the hotel was good, but the property was a little older and wasn't maintained super well. It's clean and has potential.

Great place with a convenient location and a nice pool. The kitchen and laundry are super convenient. My only complaint is the sofa bed in the living room is not comfortable at all (thin mattress). If you're four people, I would consider a double room.

Our overnight tay in Kokoro resort was good. In the evening the hot springs bath was relaxing. The Kokoro staff was helpful. Would recommend this resort.

Good location. We were disappointmented the Mar-Inn hotel. They wanted us to put the used toilet paper after defecation in the trash can in the restroom instead of flushing down the toilet.

All good. but no coffee in the room. There was coffee maker but no coffee powder.

Through Bahia Aventuras, we snorkeled off the Cano island. We saw sea turtles, reef sharks, and even a pair of humpback whales!

Lovely boutique hotel with an amazing staff. Transportation was very easy and accommodating to our many activities and dinners. Food was great, although lunch service was a bit slow. Cleanliness and amenities were top notch. Beach is not very swimmable due to lava rock, but better beach is only a few hundred yards away.

Many wonderful surprises await. The kids loved the waterfalls, trout fishing, and of course the amazingly designed guest rooms.

It is a very expansive resort and a shuttle was needed to get around if in a hurry or torrential rain. If only the lobby had a fresher look and welcome amenities, the rooms had more comfortable bedding, and the restaurant have a more quality breakfast, you could almost call this a luxury resort.

Do not miss the canyoning and rafting. Incredible. Osvaldo was an amazing river guide. The best! The men of our canyoning adventure led us into some of the most amazing corners of this beautiful land, ensuring we were (safely) having a fantastic time. Roy, Jiro, and Steven were stand outs. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Absolutely gorgeous! Animals, waterfalls, lunch, and a pretty vigorous walk. A brilliant day.

The kids loved seeing the wildlife, but we were hoping for more animal sightings. Juan Carlos’ knowledge and tour were exceptional. The pace and depth of his instruction was perfectly attuned to the interests of our group. The bridges are intimidating at first, but by the last ones the fear has dissipated and you are fully the element. Such a great way to see the jungle!

The grounds are gorgeous and the restaurant is great. We loved the hot springs. Spa was great too.

The accommodation was rustic, but very clean. There was no air conditioning, only ceiling fans. The staff was wonderful as was the food. The rooms would have been more comfortable with more fans and better lighting. The view from the hotel was wonderful with lots of local monkeys and wildlife. Daniel was great and very helpful!

We loved the private cabanas, the pool, pool bar and hot tub. We did not have wifi in the rooms, only common areas. This meant we could not reach our other friends unless we knocked on their door. There were several huge roaches in our room. The front desk didn’t seem too concerned. Overall I liked the resort, but they could address the above issues.

Our rooms were on the second floor, centrally located. They were clean and very convenient to the beach. I would’ve liked one more day there.

Priscilla was fantastic. She guided us through preparation of an authentic Costa Rican meal. Her partner assisted with making tortillas and coffee. The meal was delicious!

Just do it. I’m afraid of heights, but psyched myself to focus and keep moving. The bridges did sway while walking on them, but I felt safe. It is a lot of up and downhill , if that is a problem for you. I really felt like I had met my goal by completing the walk.

It began to rain as we started, so we chose the shortest of 3 hikes. Fortunately, the rain stopped shortly after we started. We saw cows and lots of birds and monkeys. There is a nice little bar at the top where you can stop, rest and rehydrate if needed before finishing the hike.

The Arenal Lake cruise was one of the most special events we experienced in Costa Rica. The scenery was beautiful and the view of the volcano was breathtaking. Our guides were so knowledgeable and friendly

The safari float was an unfortunately underwhelming experience because it was entirely dependent on wildlife appearing, which didn’t happen much for us. There isn’t as much vegetation or scenery. We did glimpse some howler monkeys that made for some excitement though!

The views from this hotel were amazing. The room was well appointed and very clean. Staff were very welcoming.

The location of the hotel had amazing views of the ocean; however, to reach the hotel you had to take a boat. There is no dock so the staff had to hold the boat in the surf so that you could climb out of the boat into the water. For older people this is a real challenge.

Loved that this hotel was right on the beach. I wish we had stayed here longer than one night.

Priscilla and her husband are excellent hosts. She is an amazing cook and the dinner was wonderful! Loved being in someone's home to enjoy the full culture of Costa Rica.

I wish the hot springs had been better. The locker rooms were very small and a bit run down. The hot spring was quite small as well. We had dinner at the springs which was a buffet. It really was not up to par.

Our guide, Juan, was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He found all kinds of animals and birds that I could never have seen without his expertise.

Our tour guide was very friendly and well versed in the area. A couple of people in our group were afraid of heights and he so patient in helping them overcome their fears of the swinging bridges.

Kendall, our guide, was amazing. It was the best snorkeling experience I have ever had. I am extremely uncomfortable in deep water and Kendall made sure I felt safe with him. We saw some beautiful fish , turtles and stingrays and Kendall dove down and took amazing photos .

Very noisy hotel with parties and music. We didn’t have a lot of areas to sit and chat with our friends.The hotel was too far from the airport for our arrival and departure when we passed at least two or three on the road before we got to our destination.

This hotel was an amazing experience. Our only way to go anywhere was by boat.

Our group expected to be in pools that were more authentic with warm Hot Springs water. We felt that we were in regular swimming pools with hot Water running down into the pools of 75° water. Our hike with the volcano was a lot of fun.

After being a little nervous about walking on the bridges, my guide helped me and made me comfortable with crossing all of the hanging bridges. We really enjoyed this activity

Our room was clean, the beds comfortable, but the best part was the outdoor patio with hammock overlooking the volcano and surrounded by jungle. Just a short taxi into the town for meals, but we did have a couple dinners at the restaurant on side, which we very much enjoyed.

Senda is a short 10 minute walk into town, however I should add that the way back is all uphill! They had wonderful activities on site, we took advantage of an afternoon yoga class after a long hike. Amazing breakfast and cocktails.

My favourite place hotel of the whole trip! We were greeted by Specialle, who was lovely and recommended great restaurants and things to do. She recommended we book a paddling tour of the mangrove, which we did and so glad we did! We made use of their outdoor yoga pad which included all the mats and blocks. The rooms was surrounded by tropical plants and the sound of howler monkeys in the morning. While swaying on the hammock, you can hear the iguanas pitter pattering on the roof. The pool was an excellent addition on the hot afternoons, and the bar, El Local, made the best Chiliguaros that we enjoyed our last night! I will definitely be here again.

This was the only time we saw sloths the whole thanks to Jose! We saw 4 and he was apologetic that we didn't see more, but he didn't need to be. We were so happy - and we even saw some poison dart frogs that we definitely would not have seen without a guide! He dropped us off in town after so we could explore the shops and restaurants.

Our first day was spent doing the chocolate, coffee and sugar cane tour and it was very informative! You can tell the guide truly enjoys what he does and it was great to learn all the process of how these things are made and produced, along with the rich history.

Alonso was our tour guide and it was so fun! Saw a lot of wild life and he was very knowledgeable about the area. Tabacon is an absolute must and the dinner was delicious. This might have been my favourite tour of the trip.

Superb service from all staff in this beautiful resort!! The Royal Corin really treats all of their guests like royalty! The rooms are beautiful with wonderful balcony views of the property with every amenity you could ask for. We were very impressed with the way all of the staff went out of their way to make you feel special and assist in any way possible. Jillyan and David were wonderful!!

Great hot spring pools with swim up bar. The sushi bar at the pool is amazing! People were awesome. The place was spotless! The volcano could be seen from your room! We were greeted with a hot towel and a refreshing drink!

We stayed at this hotel overnight after arriving late into San Jose and left early in the morning. People were great, hotel spotless and bed was comfy!

Incredible hotel. The Views of the ocean and surrounding rain forest were amazing. People were great! We had our wedding anniversary dinner in their incredible dining room and they provided us with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and turned out the lights and lit our deserts with candles and played Perfect by Ed Sheerhan and it was perfect! Be ready for lots of stairs if you don't get a ground floor suite! The suites were to die for from all of the amenities and the views!

Lovely, small hotel in the rainforest with great views. All the food is certified gluten free and much of it grown on the owners farm I am told. Several kilometres from downtown Uvita.

Great place to stop overnight before an early flight. In low traffic it's about a half hour shuttle from the hotel. It has a great roof top swim pool and is full of really interesting art.

Helpful staff, natural surrounding with beach access to Playa Hermosa. Not too crowded.
