Loved this hotel & wished we could have stayed longer. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel and grounds were lovely. We enjoyed the short walk into to town for dinner. Would definitely recommend to others.

Loved the location, very conveniently location for sightseeing being within walking distance to numerous sights and short walk to the tube. Our room was prefect for our family of 4, plenty of space to spread out. Staff was friendly & breakfast was delicious. Would recommend!

Great location! Loved the views of Edinburgh Castle & being right in the heart of Old Town. Always things to do short walk away, but in a quiet location.

This was one of our favorite activities. We enjoyed seeing the architecture and learning the history of the university. The walking tour was a good length, the student guide was very informative, and we got to go inside Trinity College. It happened to be graduation day, so the town was extremely crowded, but on the plus side, we got to see the students in their graduation gowns, and the atmosphere was happy and festive.

Alex, our guide, was full of enthusiasm and made the tour fun even for those of us who weren't Harry Potter superfans. We discovered some new parts of London and enjoyed the walk very much as we learned a lot of new things.

The museum at the baths is very extensive and well worth the visit.

It's always gratifying to see such a famous sight up close, in person. We enjoyed the walk through the field to get there.

Jason, our driver, was the best! He conveyed a lot of information in a relaxed and entertaining manner. This was a good introduction to a very large area.

Our party of six was airport-weary when we arrived, and we are grateful that The Mitre let us check in early. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Elwyn. We had 3 rooms and they were all excellent. The beds were comfy and housekeeping was attentive. (Thanks, Anju!) Breakfasts accommmodated all sorts of tastes, from fresh fruit over waffles to the full English breakfast. The location in Greenwich is extremely walkable with a convenient tube station and a neighborhood with its own personality, with less crows and hustle/bustle of central London. We would return here in a heartbeat. Thanks!

Our party of 6 adored the atmosphere at The Northey Arms. From the stately stone exterior to the charming upscale pub vibe to the inventive menu and the inviting outdoor seating, we loved this location. The rooms were inviting from the moment we walked in. Of course, a property can only be as good as its staff, and the staff of The Northey Arms functions like a well-oiled machine. The manager, Maddy, clearly has a top-notch training program in place, since all of the employees were a cut above. Katie, Chloe, Lottie, Marie, and Richard were all professional, friendly and helpful. The little touches like fresh flowers on the tables did not go unnoticed, and the food was memorably delicious. The mini-chocolate chip cookies served with tea were ever so yummy, and when we had to leave early on our last morning prior to the serving hours for breakfast, Maddy was kind enough to pack chocolate croissants for us to take along. We would return here in a heartbeat!

Sandra and Chris have created a delightful retreat in north Wales. Tastefully decorated common areas and bedrooms, a yummy snack and convenient tea tray/amenities in each bedroom, very cozy beds with down comforters. Breakfasts tables are laid beautifully and delicious breakfast served in attractive style. Sandra was very helpful with logistics and planning for local activities, transportation options, and recommendations.

Graham and Laura have created a delightful retreat in Oxford. Our party of 6 travelers had 3 rooms and all of us enjoyed our stay immensely. The property has an inviting drive up to a quaint country home and stables. The rooms have been beautifully updated with modern amenities, but with an attractive nod to their historic past. Two of the rooms had private backyards, and the peacocks wandering through the courtyard on occasion were an added bonus. The drawing room had a piano and sheet music as well as board games and a large table. The bedrooms contained an extremely helpful notebook with recommendations for activities and restaurants, as well as easy-to-follow instructions on transportation. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and while eating breakfast we had the added bonus of watching riders astride their show jumping horses. When the airline moved our flight 2 hours earlier, the staff kindly packed 6 take-away breakfasts with yogurt, fruit, croissant and juice for the ride to Heathrow.

We did not have a retired royal guard because we requested someone more knowledgeable of history and culture--we weren't interested in the "royal gossip." We were absolutely thrilled with our tour from Blue Badge Guide Olga B. Her love and appreciation for London are contagious! She gave an excellent balance of history and modernity, and was more than willing to answer every question and tailor the tour to our particular interests. She spoke to some local merchants and we were allowed to pop in and see notable features of their shops (such as Winston Churchill's tobacco merchant). She also made wonderful recommendations of what to do with our remaining time in London. We highly recommend Olga's tour for those who want to make the most out of their 3-hour overview of London.

Our punter, Angus, gave us a delightful trip and added helpful commentary along the way.

This place is an absolute must visit. With every creak of the historical floorboards, to the beautiful grounds and rooms, we felt like we’d taken a trip back in time. The proximity to the Castle Combe village is ideal, and the staff is intuitive and kind. Be sure to book afternoon tea while you’re here, and enjoy a few meals on-site. I left wishing I could just move all of my belongings in and take up residence. This place was magical, and a real trip highlight.

In the middle of the theatre district, not far away from the bus system. We had a few issues with our room, but they were remedied immediately. Lovely breakfast and the rooftop bar is not to be missed!

Not one to be missed! Set in and old prison, down the street from a covered market. This hotel offers home comforts while being modernized. The staff are amazing,

Up the hill from the beach and from the main pier, it gives views that are simply amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful while checking in.

Everything being within walking distance makes this hotel the best to stay at.

The land is magnificent. If possible, get a tour of the wines and the land, you won't be disappointed. The rooms have no A/C, but for April it was perfect because it didn't get too hot outside.

Our guide knew the ins and outs of London and where to go for history. If you want to see London, and take amazing photos, a black cab tour will be your best bet!

Super busy when we went, so we didn't get to see the crown jewels, but we did see all the other pieces of the tower. It was a wonderful experience listening to the Beefeater.

This B&B was outstanding. The rooms were new builds and thoughtfully done. They staff was incredibly nice. The breakfast spread was huge and had tons of options. We wish we could have stayed more nights.

Great hotel in an excellent location. It was so easy to walk out to the sights and Underground from here. We loved being on Tower Hill so close to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Everything was very clean. The staff was nice and helpful.

This was fantastic. We had the most wonderful time riding the train, seeing the Harry Potter sights and visiting the town of Mallaig.

This is a MUST SEE for any Harry Potter fan. We had a blast checking out all the studio insights and exhibits. We loved that you could walk thru a bunch of the actual sets and props.

We had such a good time at the Tower or London. The Yeoman Warder tour was very informative and interesting for the whole family. We enjoyed learning the history, seeing the Crown Jewels and the Ravens.

We only stayed one night. Hostess was fabulous in that she checked us right in, which allowed us to take a much needed nap after flying through the night. The room was clean, well appointed. Only issue is that building is very old with steep stairs and any older person with ortho issues may not find it feasible. Notably, the hostess lugged my 35 lb suitcase up the stairs like it was a pillow.

this inn is wonderful. the breakfast was delicious. the room was spacious, lovely, view of castle and roof tops. I would not want to stay in this room in warm weather as it is on 3rd floor and no A/C. The gulls were loud on the roof tops and their screams were actually welcome. the area was so beautiful, we wanted to get up early and get going. old building with steep stairs not good for anyone with joint issues. the staff was lovely, friendly, helpful. the restaurant (chapel area for breakfast) amazing with organ, lovely wood, everything just beautiful. very convenient to train station.

Lovely inn. Great breakfast A bit on the periphery of Bath Center but as a result, very quiet. Adrian, host, was very helpful and gave suggestions including walking tour which was fabulous. Room was basic. Overlooked back which was really no view at all. Room was clean and comfortable, we heard owls.

Location was great. Walkable to pretty much everything-- Cathedral, Shambles, Jorvik museum, gardens. The living area was very old and comfortable The pub next door was great and friendly. The staff/host also very kindly and friendly. Breakfast was good. My only issue was the tight quarters of our room. The room was clean, old, bed very comfy...just a bit tight and difficult to move around. would I take a bigger room and give up the location? No.

this tour was very nice the tour guide very knowledgable lovely views my only suggestion is that the driving be decreased and the tour stops longer than 20 minutes. I would have loved to spend more time in Grassington. I could have done without the Wallace and Grommet cheese place

He was a bit of a curmudgeon. Maybe he did this tour too many times and he was over it. The tour was not 2 1/2 hours but two hours. He wanted to stick completely to the Bridgerton highlights and no other questions were welcome. He didn’t seem too happy when he was touring us around

Alessandro was our tour guide for this activity. It was the most important thing to us on our trip to Italy. We could not have asked for a more informative, enjoyable, organized tour guide. He created this tour so that we felt like we almost had the Vatican to ourselves. He had visual guides with his iPad that really explained what we were seeing and the history behind all. His English was perfect - he was just amazing!

This was a great tour and tour guide. Our only comment was that it was about 3-4 hours long without any breaks. For example, when walking through the market area, it would have been great to have some time to explore there instead of stopping at so many sites that were somewhat forgettable.

We didn't realize we would have a driver and tour guide. This was so helpful because parking was difficult and it really helped our guide, Raphaella, to be able to concentrate on the tour itself.

Our guide was not waiting for us in the airport but I guess waiting until we were actually done and instead trying to connect via the What's App. It was right as we came into Rome and created a bit of stress thinking he/she forgot us. If he would have at least been waiting in the airport with a sign with our name, it would have been appreciated, but instead he was waiting in his car and we worried that we had been forgotten. In addition, our understanding was that the driver would give us a bit of history and overview of Rome. Unfortunately, he did not speak really any English. This was the only part of the trip that was disappointing.

The hotel was well located near Covent Garden and the theater district and the breakfast buffet was good. Beyond that, I cannot recommend it. The room furnishings were excessively spare. There was no surface designed to house a suitcase. I had to push together the only two chairs in the room to house one bag, and put our other bag on a small cocktail table. Simply inexcusable.

The Clayton Hotel was comfortable and just a couple of hundred feet from the train station. Dinner and the breakfast buffet were fine.

The Indigo is a quirky reuse of a series of historical buildings located in a place that’s within convenient walking distance of Bath’s major attractions. The hotel and room itself have more of a B&B feel than that of a hotel. That’s both good and bad. It gives the place a more unusual feel, but also a less comfortable one. The hotel was generous with complementary wine and soft drinks in the room. Supposedly, the buildings are connected at the garden level, but we were told that this route was not available. As a result, we had to put on jackets and walk around the block outside to get to the breakfast buffet. This annoyance alone prevents me from giving an overall score higher than 3.

The Grand is a wonderful, traditional hotel with old world charm and great service by an attentive staff. An added bonus is its proximity to the York railway station, tour bus pickup points, and the York Minster. Each are within 5 minutes walk. Together with the fine included breakfast, this all makes the Grand the nicest hotel we have visited in quite a while.

I really wanted to like this hotel. A front desk manager spent more than 30 minutes helping me to get the tv working properly. But I can’t recommend this hotel because the room and bathroom are so very TINY. As I write this review, I am at sea on a cruise and staying in a basic stateroom whose size exceeds the Courtyard’s by a considerable degree. There was no convenient place to put luggage or to unpack. Marriott price for a Motel 6 room.

We were very fortunate to arrive in Grassington (Darrowby) on a day when the town was dressed for filming!

We were the only 2 passengers on a 16 person tour bus! Our driver/guide was great. Whitby as a very interesting town.

Steve was a friendly and fun guy and we enjoyed our time with him.

Our guide from the city really knew his stuff about Bridgerton and covered a tremendous number of sites in just two hours. He was not excessively friendly.

Andy was a great guy with whom to spend a couple of days.

Once again, Andy was a great companion and guide, but our feeling was that the sites within the range and itinerary of this tour were not as generally interesting as the rest of our tours.

Just fabulous! The service was 5 star, the breakfast was gourmet and our adjoining rooms were perfect for our family of 4.

We LOVED our walking tour and were so grateful we were able to learn inside tips and see the changing of the guard up close!

The Athenaeum was a great location for visiting tourist sites, though at night the traffic noises were a bit loud. The food at the restaurant was particularly good!

The Manor House was just beautiful. So quaint on the inside with the different rooms. Our room was down the road & just lovely with so many amenities. The bathroom was amazing with the relaxing tub with a TV & the multi-jet shower. We were unable to see the grounds due to the weather, but they looked really nice. The bed was a little on the hard side, but comfortable otherwise. We would definitely come here again!

This was probably the favorite hotel of our trip as the room was very comfortable with a great bed & amenities. Enjoyed having the spa features!
