Chris was incredible. We wound up calling him our deus ex machina because he was always there and responsive if we had any questions or issues. This was our first time using a travel agent and we'll never do it any other way. Chris listened to what we were looking for in our trip to Greece and created a plan that we then read through and adjusted if we wanted to. We were met at each airport by a driver holding a sign with my name on it. We visited many ancient sites and he arranged private guides at each one. When we flew on an internal flight, the boarding passes magically showed up on my phone. When we had a late flight leaving Rhodes, we were about to ask the hotel for a late checkout, only to find that Chris had already arranged it for us. Every day had suggestions for what we might want to do as well as restaurant suggestions. We even met him (and his kids!) for dinner. We can go on, but he made this a truly wonderful and memorable trip.

PS I have no idea what Kimkim did other than set us up with Chris. He was amazing.

We had wonderful guides and experiences on the Greek mainland, Santorini, and Crete. It was wonderful to not have to drive or worry about transportation and each of our guides was knowledgeable about their areas and took us to places we would have never found on our own. Highlights for us were Crete and Meteora. Had some marvelous food and wine all over Greece. Babbis(mainland) Lazurus (Santorini), and Yiannis (Crete) were all just fantastic guides and hosts. We loved everything we saw, but do wish we had a little more downtime at the end of our trip. That was our fault, not the guides. Our first hotel in Athens, The Foundry and Hotel Azade were especially standouts with amazing views and comfortable spaces.

Tried to put us in a lesser room than we booked way back in August. The first room you had to crawl over the bed to the bathroom. We were there for 4 days, so that was unacceptable.

Hotel was off the beaten track and quite a walk to the town for meals etc, especially when it was dark as there was no sidewalk and the road was pretty windy. Not a good combo for pedestrians. We were lucky to have a guide willing to come get us. Since it was off-season, there was no transportation, no restaurant service, and no laundry services provided. It would have been good to know these things prior to checking in. The room was adorable and the fireplace was fun to have.

The road to town is a bit dicey without transportation. It is not that far, but they need to offer transport to town.

They were accommodating when they could be. It snowed in the mountains the weekend we were there, so it would have been nice for more services to be offered as they did have quite a few guests.

This was a trip of a lifetime! Everything happened exactly how Eleni planned. The tours she chose were fantastic. All of our tour guides were knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, were fun, and provided an amazing experience. The hotels that Eleni chose for us were perfect. I can't say enough about how amazing the service was for the planning of this trip and will definetly use KimKim again.

Overall an amazing trip and memorable experience for our family. Thanks to KimKim team and Amalia for the thorough planning. We hadn't travelled in a while since Covid and this was our first big international vacation in three years, and also the first one for my six year old.

Amalia was super responsive. Communication throughout the planning phase was spot on. She made sure to ask for our personal preferences, put together a custom itinerary, and made sure to plan a luxurious vacation to perfection. Amalia was responsive during the trip and she helped make some last minute reservations at a few places.

1) Athens
- Driver Thanasis picked us up promptly at the Athens airport. Thanasis is an absolute gentleman - very polite, respectful, courteous and was willing to go the extra mile, stops along the way to ensure we had the best experience. The Mercedes van was well maintained and super clean.
- The Foundry Suites at Athens - an amazing place, very central location (10-12 minute walk to the Acropolis), and great hosts, excellent breakfasts. We had a very comfortable stay there.
- Popi, our tour guide for the Acropolis Museum and at Acropolis was again amazing. Her story telling ability and the knowledge of Greek ancient history / civilization was fascinating. My daughter loved the guided tour and she made it very memorable with beautiful story telling. We were pleasantly surprised when Popi told us that she had a PhD candidate. Such was the quality of the tour guides.
- Very comfortable drive in the afternoon to Sounio - Temple of Poseidon. We saw the gorgeous Sunset

2 ) Nafplio
Our next part of the trip was in Nafplio, a place that is two hours from Greece by car. It is a quaint little town. Just walking around the town was quite an experience.
- We stayed at the amazing Anthemion Villas / Suites - luxurious and comfortable. It was away from all the noise but literally just 3 minutes away from the city center
- Next day we had a private guided tour of Mycenae and Epidaurus. Our guide Theodoros Lendoudis talked us through the history all the way from the Bronze civilization, cycladic, minoan, mycenean, and the classical era. The huge theater in Epidaurus with amazing acoustics was the highlight of the day

3) Crete island: Chania
We visited Crete island. Rented a luxurious Volvo which was super comfortable and stayed in the old town in Chania. It was a central location. Our tour guide at Knossos in Heraklion, Maria Ververaki was again top notch. We stopped on the way at the very beautiful Rethymno, Lasitha plateau, and the quaint little town Archanes, Our kids also enjoyed the pink sand beach Elafonisi.

4) Santorini
The last part of our trip was spent in Santorini at stayed put at the Heliotopos Hotel. Again a super comfortable stay and very memorable. We truly enjoyed visiting all the scenic villages Oia, Fira, Imerovigli. At the last minute Amalia helped plan an amazing half-a-day luxury cruise that ended with a gorgeous view of the sunset, which our kids enjoyed a lot.

Finally we came to Athens and did a a very interesting Food tour with the super nice Adania. We were able to taste authentic Greek food while hearing about the history behind each of the delicacies. Amalia was super sweet and met us on the last day of our trip, and presented to us some hand-knits hats that her mom had made for us. It was such a pleasure meeting her in person.

Overall a very memorable trip and amazingly well planned luxury vacation, thanks to Amalia. She was very attentive to all the details and planned a very customized trip considering our needs, and especially our second daughter's allergy needs. Highly recommend her.

Few opportunities / feedback to take the vacation to the next level:
1) Accommodation: Please do not recommend Porto Antico apartments for travelers or families. We understand the recommendation was made because of the hotel's reputation. But the apartment was dinghy. Thankfully we were able to find a good accommodation via Airbnb and the apartment refunded the amount on the same day.
2) Both Avis and Hertz are amazing rental car brands in the US. We had a very pleasant experience renting through Avis at Crete. But had a bad experience with Avis at Santorini. The main issue was that Avis was not open 24 hours! Because of which I had to rent a car from Hertz at the last minute. I think it is best especially for international travelers that need some flexibility - that you suggest the car company that is open 24 hours, so that there is flexibility for the travelers to decide on when to rent and when to return. I have to say that Amalia and the KimKim team promptly refunded us the Avis rental car costs for Santorini, which is very much appreciated.

The above two pieces of feedback are meant to be constructive. Amalia planned everything to perfection. The above two glitches is something that is hard to predict. Amalia was super responsive when we raised these during our trip. Overall very happy with the services provided. I would highly recommend both KimKim and Amalia for your travel needs to Greece.

We had the most incredible time in Greece! KimKim made the trip super easy for us! Tassos and the KimKim Team were super responsive and worked with us to plan the perfect trip for our time in Greece. We had a whirlwind of a week visiting Athens, Delphi, Galaxidi (a gem of a seaside town), Olympia and Nafplio. We had the best tour guides all throughout the trip, from Athens to Nafplio, everything surpassed our expectations, the guides were knowledgeable, friendly and great people overall, we enjoyed meeting each and every one of them. The activities suggested by Tassos were fabulous, and not something we would have chosen if we were planning this trip on our own; specially the "picnic" at the organic vinegar manufacturer, how dare they call this a picnic, it was a magnificent feast of the most delicious Greek food! Dominik deserves a special mention as a superb guide during our last day in Nafplio, he really went above and beyond to make us feel like family.
Of course nothing is perfect, but the few mishaps we had during the trip (including a flat tire and some other car trouble) were dealt swiftly and efficiently by the Kimkim team. We always felt there was someone there to help us.
Overall, we would HIGHLY recommend KimKim to plan an unforgettable trip to Greece, we were blown away by the history, knowledge and people.

I can not believe it has taken me so long to write this review! Two families with teenagers worked with Dimitris to plan a tour to Greece and it was amazing!! We did a mix of "must see items" and things that Dimitris recommended as a part of a local tour. We had an amazing time! Thank you!

GREECE was a DREAM COME TRUE

Our experience in Greece was perfect, sure there were a couple hiccups here and there but for the most part we were very pleased.

* Sweet Home Boutique hotel was very small. Didn't really feel like a honeymoon stay. It was a tad bit underwhelming. We did have a nice view of the parthenon from our room so this definitely made up for the space. Also, we ran out of hot water the first night so that was a bummer. Otherwise this hotel was super cute and Aphrodite was a great hostess. Breakfast in the morning was delicious.

* Anastacios our tour guide was very pleasent! He took us through the Acropolis and was very informative. He did go off on a couple tangents and he mentioned how influencers just want to come and take pics so we felt a bit weird asking for a photo. We didn't get a chance to go to the museum. He asked if we still wanted to go but we opted not to since the Acropolis tour took so long.

*Ivis 4 Boutique Hotel - was definitely very fancy and probably the honeymoon stay we were expecting. We didn't have a nice view of the parthenon but otherwise it was very nice. It would have been nice to stay here a couple more nights.

* Blue Dolphin was AMAZING. This definitely felt like the honeymoon stay we were hoping for. Since the moment we arrived in Santorini we were welcomed with such hospitality.

* Trail Guide Artemius, was AMAZING. He took us to Oia and took us to the Blue Domes. He asked if we wanted photos and even went as far as to take videos. All along the trail he told us about Santorini and its history. He told us about him and his family. He was such a pleasure!

* The Cruise was so much FUN. George and George were very nice!!

* Luxury Travel - i think this was the name of the driver company who took care of picking us up and dropping us off throughout our stay . Again sooo very nice and very reliable.

Our trip to Greece was wonderful thanks to Angela and her team. From our drivers Alexander and Nicolas we received a personalized treatment. They were attentive to our needs and took us to local places where we savored local Greek cuisine and experience the culture of the place. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and provided us with interesting facts in every site. Crete was a beautiful and vibrant island that is worth visiting. Our trip to Santorini was canceled last minutes and Angela assisted to build a different itinerary in mainland Greece. The last five days of the trip were awesome and we visited Corinth, Olympia, Delphi and Meteora as well as many small villages. Thank you Angela for all your help, and a promise we will come back to the islands 😀😀

It is an old hotel in a great location that has not being renovated in decades. Beds were not confortable either. Breakfast was good and convenient. This was my first, but not last, time using kimkim! The experience was fantastic from start to finish. Our travel guide, Angela, put together the perfect itinerary for us (2 couples celebrating our 30th anniversaries) based on our feedback and coordinated every aspect of our travel experience, making it stress-free, while also filled with private tour experiences we never would have discovered on our own. Each transfer was perfectly timed and each tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and flexible to make our trip as personalized as we wanted it to be. When we hit snags along the way (which weren't many), Angela was right there to revise the itinerary. I'm usually the one to plan our trips, so it was a real treat for me to have someone else take that on and who better than someone who knows the country and can provide more than just a "tourist's" view. Thank you, Angela, and all the amazing tour guides who made our trip so special!

Our Grecian vacation exceeded every expectation! Rebecca's attention to detail, respect for our individual needs, and depth of planning, allowed us to travel with confidence and peace of mind. The hotel accommodations were not only conveniently located to our specific city itineraries, but also more luxurious than we would have chosen for ourselves. Having a breakfast available each day was a delight and the food choices at each hotel were culinary experiences of their own. We found the hotel staff members to be friendly and engaging and one employee in particular guided us to an unplanned excursion that was most enjoyable.
Another extraordinary benefit was the opportunity to explore each city, including Thessaloniki, Athens, and Santorini, with guides who ranged from an art historian, archeologist, and outdoor adventurer! Seeing the ancient historical sites from their perspective and depth of knowledge was informative, entertaining, and broadened our intellects. Each one warmly greeted us and by day's end, felt we had made a new friend.
We have found KimKim to be our "go to" travel agency and highly recommend them because they listen and respond with respect and flexibility to ensure we have a personal and memorable experience.

Our trip was lovely. We were able to experience Greece from the perspective of wonderful Greek tour guides. We covered archaeological, ecological, geographical, and historical topics. We felt we came away with a much better understanding of the country.
Our guides, Kostis , George, Nikolaos, and Theo were all so knowledgeable . They opened our eyes to the history and mythology of Greece.

Everyone we encountered were soOoOo personable and helpful. It can be overwhelming when you’re visiting a new place so it was really refreshing to be welcomed by the locals! Thank you for being able to make last minute changes, such as adding on Naxos as well as the catamaran. We really appreciate you for taking care of pretty much everythaaaaang for us as it made our trip that much more smoOth sailing. Pun intended! We got to practice our Greek, hehe, you would’ve been so proud, lol!! As stated multiple times in our group chat, you’re amazeballs, and we love your personality! Chris and his travel agency are worth all the stars I can give. =) Initially I wasn't sure about using an agency, even one for independent travellers, because I like to be off the beaten path and have flexibility. However, Chris immediately understood what we were looking for (an educational gap year experience for my son - so not exactly a vacation, but not business either.) He was incredibly responsive, asked great questions, and listened to what I had in mind, which ultimately resulted in a trip plan much better than I could have done on my own. Moreover, it wasn't until we actually got to Greece that I understood the true value of working with Chris and kimkim. On our second day in Athens, my son got a skin rash and he was in quite a lot of pain. Not only did the staff at Sweet Home Hotel help me find medical assistance (including a pediatrician who made a house call to the hotel at 11 PM!), Chris was available as well, helping us find a pharmacy, rearrange plans as needed, and just generally providing support. As our trip progressed, there were very few hiccups, and those that did occur were either remedied quickly (or adjusted to something even better). I could not be happier with the service, and I recommend kimkim in general - and Chris in particular - to anyone looking for a bespoke travel experience.

WOW! This is the best word to describe this hotel. It is luxury at its finest. The staff are very attentive and caring, the breakfast (I highly recommend you have this in your room) was delicious and the views are incredible. The location is closest enough to walk to Oia, which is more crowded and expensive, but very close to Fira which has the same things as Oia but closer and less expensive. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Santorini!

Here is my honest review of Greece and our experience with Kim Kim. I will 1000% use Kim Kim to book my next trip. Angela was fanatic. All of our drivers were on time to take us from one place to the next and all of our tours and ferry tickets were handled in advance which was extremely convenient. More about the drivers below.

The weather was not great for us. Looking back we wish we went in September. There were no crowds which was amazing and we never waited for a restaurant and were wondering the streets without bumping shoulders with other tourists however it was very windy and we needed coats. It certainly didn’t ruin our time but I think a month earlier would have been less crowded but warmer!

Melo- Athens
Marta was awesome. She worked at the reception desk at the hotel. It was in a great location however it’s kind of loud at night if you’re not able to sleep with a lot of noise. It didn’t bother us but worth noting. The room is an odd shape but it worked for the 2 days we were there. It was clean! The shower was cold at night so shower in the morning! Local breakfast was good especially Frogs!
The floor in the bathroom gets really wet when you shower and the tub takes awhile to fill just an fyi

Abasa- Santorini
Tiyana and the owner were so sweet. They provided recommendations for restaurants and kindly drove us into town 1 night and to a winery another day. The room was a really nice size and the water was always hot. Tiyana recommended a restaurant in town and made us reservations and the breakfast at the property was great . The only negatives for me were the location, it was a bit of a hike all uphill into Fira and there weren’t many sidewalks. We made it work because luckily we had some tours and things so we didn’t need a car. The other downside were the flies.

The view was the best and we got free drinks that were really great upon arrival. The downside the room was musky the people were not as friendly the breakfast was terrible the jacuzzi wasn’t hot and overall was our least favorite even though it was right in the beach. We were only here for 2 days so it wasn’t a big deal for us. I think September this would be perfect time to go because you could’ve spent alot of time on the beach and not the room. Plus more places would have been open. The town of Naxos was really great though. We enjoyed visiting and it was quick bus ride into town.

Ivis 4 -Athens
Was our favorite. Sooo clean the food and drinks were both fantastic and the room was modern, functional and clean. The only negative for me was the bed wasn’t super comfy but I could look past that given the other bonuses. The hotel had a gym unlike other hotels. It was in great location was still a little loud but less than Melo. The bartenders and servers were all fantastic. The breakfast was the best!!

Overall the drivers were good and all were on time. I would give all but 2 of them a 10/10. Our first driver was a little lost in Athens so I had to navigate for him. It was a long travel day and he kept doing laps of the city which was getting a little frustrating. The other driver was after our catamaran cruise in santorini. He was flying on all the windy roads and changing music and I think he had 2 friends with him during the drive. Everyone else no complaints.

Restaurants / tours
In Athens we went to dopios which was amazing. The popcorn shrimp was fantastic.

We did the Greek mythology tour and our guide Magda was wonderful. She remembered all of our names and was so insightful on the history of the city and mythology.

Santorini we really liked all the coffee/ espresso we had. Do not get smoothies at the hungry donkey though and for dinner we liked kokkalo. The villages tour was great because we got to see a lot of the island. It was probably our least favorite of the 4 we did but we still enjoyed the sightseeing. The catamaran cruise at sunset was awesome but towards the end the water was choppy so if you get seasick just know it’s a long tour but worth it if you don’t mind being on the water!

Naxos was the cutest. I high recommend the taste of Naxos tour. We learned alot of about the island and were able to taste local cheeses, liquor and foods. Our guide George was also wonderful. 10/10 experience.

First of all I need to start by saying this whole trip exceeded our expectations. Rebecca was always there to help with questions or concerns and always came through with a solution. There were absolutely no hiccups in this trip plan on Rebecca’s side.
We had some unexpected weather and some of the plans had to be tweaked .
From the first Pickup when we landed to the hotel transfers to the tour transfers, they all were timely and efficient it was pretty amazing.
There was even a welcoming lady Katerina who brought us a special gift and took us to answer any questions we might have.
All the tour specialists were amazing!!
Theodore in Athens was so kind and welcoming, happy and knowledgeable, we had good food drinks and fun. Off to Crete.
George at Knossos was very good at explaining all the information at the archeological site on a level we could understand . Our driver for the day Yiannis was more than just a driver we stopped for coffee and snacks there was never any pressure. He explained a lot about the Island while he drove.
Wine tasting with Eva was so fun. This girl was a breath of fresh air!! We really connected with her and had a blast.
Yiannis took us on a road trip to the mountains and to a little village to taste some amazing food from the region. We really appreciated how slow he drove and would stop to show us things it was very relaxing. Again very kind and down to earth young man.
Antonis had to tweak our original tour due to weather and we just loved how flexible he was ! We LOVED the walk in old town and everywhere he took us, the food and drinks, the conversations. He was just a gem! The whole experience was so relaxing. He was a super nice young man with a great smile! He also acted like a photographer, he got some amazing shots of us. Great day!
In Santorini Lazarus had to also tweak our original tour but it was very nice. He took us to Oia and told us all about the island and took the most amazing photos of us at all the great spots. We would have never on our own taken these photos. When he took us for our lunch he ordered ahead then explained all the wonderful food we were going to enjoy, and I loved how he gave us some time alone to rest and enjoy our food. When on our wine tasting with a magnificent view he again stayed close by but let us enjoy some alone time. Again a very kind and super knowledgeable young man, enjoyed his company.
On Mykonos we got a little walking tour of little Venice and the town with Christos, it was very relaxing kick back tour.
Back in Athens we got to tour the Acropolis with an actual Archeologist Nicholas who worked the site for 3 years. He was SO knowledgeable. We loved how he took care not to run us ragged lol !! There was a lot of climbing, we took It slow and easy it was really appreciated. He went even further and took us to the tomb of the unknown soldier and the Plaka, even suggested a great place to have dinner.
All in all every single one of the tour guides gave us their numbers and offered any help in the future if we needed.
For us, each of the places we visited had great things. Crete with the millions of Olive trees and mountains and the beauty of the old port town .
Santorini the breathtaking views of the Caldera were unlike anything. The only drawback there were the steps up and down everywhere could be bad for some people.
Mykonos tho was our favorite. We loved not being so high up and with close walking distance to the sea and the town.
The hotels that were chosen were so nice and located perfectly!
I would say do not hesitate to book a trip through Rebecca at Grecian Lux you will not regret it!!

Then, for some reason, we heard continual clicking sounds in the room which didn't stop. We didn't know what it was. I called the front desk and they arranged for another room immediately. Day Cruise to Paxi & Antipaxi

The tour was lovely. At Paxi we explored the charming town and had a delicious meal. At Antipaxi many people left the boat to swim in the beautiful water. We did not swim but it was terrific to watch everyone enjoying themselves. Our tourguide did a great job of keeping things moving. She was fun. The highlight for me was meeting another passenger who, after talking for several hours, I think we will enjoy being friends and visiting with each other in England and the US. The dancing at the end of the cruise was fun. Thank you.

We were in Greece for two weeks. Crete and Corfu in addition to Athens. The personal tour with Anda was the highlight of my entire trip. She was incredibly knowledge and shared all her enthusiam for the topic. The tour within the museum was also very important. When I was unable to climb up to the Acropolis she arranged for us to use the elevator. I want to go back!

The fact that Anda arranged on a moment's notice to have me use the elevator. I could not have walked up because there aren't any railings for climbing. I did, however, walk down with help of my husband and Anda - for balance.

Our trip was cancelled at the last minute after my wife got Covid three days before our trip. KimKim successfully moved the trip at no cost to us. We had the best trip we have ever had except the visit to Africa to meet our son in the Peace Corps.

KimKim provided very high quality private guides who made an enormous difference to our enjoyment and appreciation of all Greece has to offer.

Every driver they arranged was on time, courteous and helpful. The accommodations were first class and we were able to get in early most of the time, which is not common.

The trip we selected was not cheap, but it was a qualitatively superior experience. We plan to use the again.
