Ruins interesting Guide seemed a little bored

Guide in a rush and rude

Too commercial

Stunning

So much fun and great choice of restaurants Very authentic taste of different styles topped off with churros and hot chocolate

Fascinating ruins with a very expansive history Great guide

Absolute highlight Stunning scenery Great guide and boatman

Lots of fun and interesting to see three different cenotes Fun on the bikes Ravaged by mosquitoes

Wonderful to see the flamingos Beautiful trip

Nice to see a small community and how it operated and enjoyed the meeting with the corn farmer to help understand the importance of corn to the Mayan Beautiful Cenote

Not terribly inspiring Did a lot of walking with hot a lot of history or points of interest

Interesting history Felt rushed by the guide

Fascinating One of My favourite days Excellent guide with an incredible knowledge of Mayan culture and history

Beautiful experience with lovely family and the food was delicious Would have been better to make a few more common dishes that we would make again but making the mole was fun

Extremely interesting and very informative, enthusiastic guide willing to answer questions

An hour at the tree too long Buffet lunch not our style Very very commercialised artisan pottery and weaving which in. fact on intense questioning we worked out WAS the way they used to do it but now all made in a factory so felt slightly mislead Not authentic

Historical sites and museum fantastic but our guide was extremely difficult to understand and he talked so much it was difficult to take in his knowledge. Also stood very much in my personal space which was disconcerting

The hotel in Valladolid was absolutely wonderful and one of the highlights of our trip. It had such an authentic, elegant, and classy design — the kind of place you know you will remember forever. The hotel consists of two beautiful, completely different buildings, and the staff kindly showed us both and offered us the choice of which room we preferred. This made the experience even more special. The staff were extremely friendly and spoke very good English. The food was also excellent. Everything about the stay felt warm, authentic, and special. For us, the hotel itself was almost a sightseeing experience — not just a place to stay, but a place to discover and enjoy. It was truly a pleasure to stay there.

It is a very well organized touristic site - clean, not crowded, with shadows, no vendors and sellers of souvenirs. Great!!!

Great location! This was very close to the Merida town square and we got to see some local cultural events due to our favorable location. The room was very comfortable. They even had a cat in the lobby which we loved.

Great hotel! Right in the town square and next to all the major attractions and activities. Breakfast was amazing.

Very nice tour. Miranda gave us a great tour visiting the local church and we then saw the pyramids there. She gave us a lot of great information about the history and culture which we appreciated. Excellent tour.

We really enjoyed the cenote. The water temperature was perfect and seeing this as a natural formation was amazing! The cenote is very deep so we both swam with life jackets (highly recommend). They offered a zip line also. This was a very enjoyable experience in nature.

Overall good tour. We did about 8 stops and ate different local Yucatan foods.

This was one of our favorite stops. We met with William who lives in the village with about 700 others and we had a delightful tour. We entered the homes of the local people there which we appreciated. Our first stop was making tortillas which was fun. Our second stop was trying to learn how to weave a hammock. It was such fun to learn that and our hosts were so kind. Our final stop was making chocolate which was also outstanding. Along the way we got to see how everyone lives, where the kids go to school etc. This is one of the hidden gems of this tour. The Mayans are beautiful and kind people and we were honored to be guests in their village.

We had a wonderful time at Rio Lagartos. Henry met us at the boat pier and we had our own boat into the reserve. We saw flamingos in their natural habitat which was truly exceptional. We saw crocodiles, eagles and many other varieties of birds. It is a truly special place right next to the ocean and yet protected with a natural barrier. We also had an opportunity to swim there using the Mayan clay which was great. Overall, excellent visit! We also had a nice lunch at the local restaurant.

Very nice tour. Carlos gave us a nice history of the city and the major events that took place there. It was nice walking through all the streets and we enjoyed the honey tasting.

This was a fantastic experience. Julian was our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable about the Mayan history and gave us the full cultural experience which is what we wanted. He made sure that we got great photos which we appreciated. The tour was very well paced and we had just the right amount of time to fully enjoy Chichen Itza.

Nice educational tour of the city.

Our guide was excellent. We got a great overview of Ek Balam and the opportunity to climb the main pyramid. It was great to hear about all the Mayan stories and walk through this amazing place.

Everyone was very happy and helpful. Will definitely be staying at the ana y josē hotel again!

Didn't go

It was clean, beautiful, and had wonderful food and service.

We were told by the travel agent that the trip was 2 hours. In fact, we found out that it was actually a 3.5 hour drive. Our drive got lost and didn't speak english. We were able to speak with the manager via phone and the local travel agent vs. What's App and ask to be taken home intead of continuing on with the tour. I've requested the travel agent give us a full refund on our excursions. At first the said it wouldn't be possible because we canceled the day of. I argued that we would never have booked the trip if they told us it was going to be 3.5 hours to the excursion instead of 2. She said they are working on getting us a refund. Sadly, we wasted an 7 hours of our trip driving in a van. We were very upset.

Friendly crew and fun adventure

We had a great spacious two bedroom and two bathroom room with views of the pool and beach. It was a little strange to have a kitchenette but nothing in there to use except drinks in fridge and coffee. We couldn't even find a bottle opener to open the beer. The staff were all super friendly and we enjoyed being able to use the resort facilities but also walk into town to explore. The staff worked hard to clean the beach of the seaweed each day and their efforts are to be commended!

The room had bugs (mosquitos at night, and found several dead bees on the floor), the bathroom was in need of a refresh and had a sewerage smell, and overall the room was a tight space for a family of 5. The included breakfast only started at 7:30 and wasn't actually part of the hotel, the options were extremely limited - with the restaurant wanting to charge more for coffee with milk (only black coffee was "included"). We only went there once for the 3 nights we stayed and made alternate arrangements on the other days. The pool looked quite green & cloudy, and not safe to swim in, it often had trash floating on top.

The hotels location was apparently right on a red-light district street, and the family room we were in had no natural light. The in-room spa was cool though - the kids enjoyed that. The breakfast was average.

This was a really delightful tour - we saw turtles, a stingray, an octopus and several fish.

The guide was fantastic and really helped make the tour of Teotihuacan interesting for the kids - they even got to try doing some art with local flowers/plants that created the color. They also bought crickets for the kids to try and took us to some local spots to see the crafts and sample the food.

Thankfully we managed to find a bike that our youngest could dink on the back of as most of the bikes were too big for her to ride. We visited four cenotes in all and the guide was terrific and everything felt quite relaxed. This was a semi-private tour as there was another group that joined us. It was also great that they offered for us to buy a simple lunch afterwards too as that helped fuel us for our next activity.

We had been given a list of restaurants to try in the town and on one afternoon we decided to check out the town and take advantage of one of those recommendations. It was terrific - right on the water and food was delicious.

The kids were able to help make the tortillas and really enjoyed doing this and then eating what they had made. Seeing how it was cooked was also great. We were so happy that we were able to do the lunch in the community first prior to visiting the cenote as otherwise it would have made for a much longer/harder day with the kids.

Our guide was very thoughtful and clear with their explanations. It worked well as it was hot for our family touring this site but we covered a lot of ground in the hour. It was useful to hear the explanations.

This was really fun. Isaac was fantastic and very knowledgeable.

Uxmal is a wonderful site but unfortunately the guide we had for that was not a great fit for our family. They didn't engage the kids as well as other guides during our time in Mexico. Thankfully when we went to the chocolate museum they switched up to an english speaking guide rather than Spanish which is what had previously been arranged. The kids were more engaged here and enjoyed seeing the different huts with information about the cacao beans, the mayan experience and also the animals.

So many great restaurants were recommended for us to try in our free time - we selected a couple and they did not disappoint.

Unfortunately our free day was on a Monday so many of the museums we had hoped to visit were closed. The team put together a great alternative self guided itinerary and we thoroughly enjoyed walking through the town and going up the tower and savoring the food at one of the restaurants that was recommended.

The Hotel was in a beautiful area, lots of things to see and lots of restaurants. The Hotel staff were excellent, the Hotel is beautiful, and the rooftop restaurant/breakfast buffet was amazing. The Coffee and light snack Cafe in the lobby was also amazing.

We loved this hotel. It was rustic and charming, perfect vibes for our honeymoon. Friendly and helpful staff. Two attached restuarants made it very convenient for breakfast and quick dinners when we didnt want to walk far.

More like a mainstream hotel. Loud AC unit and other guests made us a bit uncomfortable

Wonderful. The Cenote is frightening to get into since it is so small but it was lots of fun. We saw Spider and Howler monkeys. Hiking, canoeing, ziplining, swimming, Mayan ceremony - so many things to experience here. All of the guides were very friendly. One of our guides got a ride home from our taxi and he showed us his property and beautiful gardens. It was so lovely to connect with him like that.

We really enjoyed this trip but you dont get as close to flamigoes as it appears. I thought we would be close enough to easily see them with the naked eye but the closest we got was probably at least 500 feet away.

Climbing to the top of the temple is a great experience. The only thing we had a hiccup with is our guide told us the bicycle taxi was not included and we would have to pay extra for it. We thought this was incorrect but did not say anything. Afterwards we were able to confirm our itinerary did say bicycle taxi included and the ticket stubs we took home with us said bicycle included as well. We ended up walking the 3 miles instead of riding so we were quite tired at the end of this activity when we didnt need to be.

We got to walk through parts of the ruins at Ek Balam with our guide. We climbed to the top and it was a great view. The cenote had jumping platforms and ropes. Lifejackets are available as well so it was easier to float around and enjoy the view out.

Great room, friendly people, excellent food. Flavor of Mexico.

Beautiful location with friendly, helpful staff.

Baltazar was an excellent guide.

Our captain Luis (Baba) was amazing, took us further out than any of the other boats in order to find the flamingos, then went back to his house for an amazing lunch prepared by his wife Malchita.

It was really amazing to see the turtles. Unfortunately, the seaweed came in a couple days before we got there, so visibility and enjoyment were not as good as they could have been.

Amazing experience. Enjoyed the knowledge of our guide, Ricardo.

Beautiful. Our guide was acceptable. I think the 4th ruin was a little too much for us. Kids loved seeing some of the animals before we entered the park.

The food that was cooked was amazing. The experience was brief but enjoyable. The kids enjoyed the "hands on" aspect.

This was by far our family's favorite activity. We were picked up by one of the founding members, Ivan, of the Cenotes of Chemuyil restoration project. We enjoyed hearing about their effort at cleaning up and protecting their community and space of their childhood memories. The bike ride was easy and pleasant, getting to see some of the town along the way. The variety of the cenotes, from cave-like to open, was cool. The water refreshing, the guides friendly. The food at the end of the day was the cherry on top. I would highly recommend this tour.

This was our first cenote experience and we really enjoyed it. Fun to explore, cool off, experience something new.

Our guide, Sebastian, was friendly and very informative.

Beautiful hotel on the beach. The rooms were very comfortable, and the views amazing. Only complaint would be that, due to the rain, large puddles of still, murky water formed between the hotel area and the beach, making beach access a bit difficult and unsightly.

Excellent hotel in the city center. Comfortable rooms, nice pool, and beautiful restaurant, including a rooftop. Parking was free and easy. Highly recommend going to the Zaci cenote, which is just a 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a nature reserve, very quiet, with a nice little beach. Great breakfast by the seaside, and an amazing outdoor yoga space. The pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures though. And access to the nature reserve, for this and many other hotels, is a bit complicated, with guards stopping you every time you enter coming from the city, searching your car for any plastic and asking you to pay the daily fee. The small hassle is well worth it though. Once you are in, it's lovely.

Beautiful nature reserve, but not as memorable an experience as Sian Ka'an for instance. The tour was in Spanish only, by the boat driver. Saw amazing birds, including pink flamingos (from afar) - and three crocodiles very close up! Las Coloradas were more brown than pink, but still interesting to see. The Mayan bath (fango mud) at the end was fun.

Loved spending the day with the local community in Yaxunah! Everything was in Spanish - from the cooking, to visiting the herb garden, to learning how to make hammocks, watching the men craft jewelry from bull horns, and visiting the local Mayan ruins. The food they cooked for us was incredible, and the cenote we swam in beautiful!

Very local experience in a town of about 250 people. Saw spider monkeys, walked through a forest, zip-lined over a lagoon, canoed across the water, and descended into a very deep, dark cenote. Our guide, Julio, was knowledgeable and spoke English. Had a delicious lunch at the local restaurant after. Not as exciting as other tours we did but well worth a visit if you are interested in small-scale, sustainable tourism run by local people.

Wonderful nature experience! Our guide, Manuel, was outstanding at managing our group of about 12 people from various countries. Beautiful boat ride through the mangroves, with lots of bird sightings, and some manatees. Highlight was floating/swimming down a river, being pulled by the current, through the mangrove forest. The tour started with breakfast and ended with lunch at the community center, which was a nice way to get to know the other people in the group.

Absolutely loved this group bike tour to three cenotes! Oswaldo, our guide, was outstanding, and the three cenotes each were different (one fully covered, one half covered, one open). We learned a lot, and had fun swimming, diving and following our guide through tight passages in the caves and taking photos underwater. Also very much enjoyed the delicious lunch the local ladies cooked for us at the end.

Beautiful outside and beautiful location. The restaurant is great. Only downside is the room was old on the inside.

Beautiful. Loved the location, the pool, the decor. We saw 2 weddings and a parade and a marathon go past the hotel, so that made it even more memorable.

Very festive! A nice way to end our trip!

Totally unique and wonderful.

Descriptions of some other neighborhoods would have been helpful so we could have explored. Such a huge place!

More info about what to expect would have been helpful. Since we were hiking in a hailstorm it would have been helpful to bring gloves! Overall it was a great day. The coffee on the hike was appreciated!

Such an interesting place especially the architecture

A very robust day! The canals of xochimilco were so colorful and unique!

Very cute. Friendly staff. Good location.

Everything was fine. The room itself didn't have much character. Pretty much like any other motel in the U.S.

The hotel was both beautiful and very well located. The staff was exceptional. A couple of minor issues. The bed wasn't great. And the hotel was next door to what is functioning as a doggy day care or kennel, so every so often the barking was pretty crazy.

The cenotes were uncrowded, and totally beautiful. The bike ride was a perfectly reasonable way to get there and back, but nothing special. I think your info indicated a spanish speaking guide, which would have been ok, but he actually spoke english quite well

Everything about this, from the setting to the market to the teacher to the food was great.

This site was probably more beautiful and interesting than Chichen Itza. Again, the guide was both very knowledgeable and spoke English quite well.

We enjoyed this, especially my wife who is a knitter, etc., but to call it a "workshop" is an overstatement. We spent only a couple of minutes weaving, and no one spoke english. It was fun to watch, and try, briefly, ourselves.

Our guide (trained as an achitect) spoke english well and was very knowledgeable. The site itself probably doesn't live up to the "7 wonders of the world" but was none the less very cool and interesting.
