Our trip was nothing short of amazing. Everything was coordinated down to little details.

We had the best trip and everything went smoothly! We will definitely be using KimKim again for our overseas travel.

The hotel selection was good. Some excursions, not so. The Lofoten islands tour was by minivan, not boat as I assumed it was ( islands!). This should be disclosed. The 2 hour private sauna was 1.5 hours longer than it should have been! Waste of money
Still waiting for our kayak refund. Should have been disclosed these are double kayaks and people with flexibility issues ( knee replacement!) may have trouble getting in.

We had to ask for assistance to get the prior group out. After requesting towels ( not initially provided. Seems like a sanitary issue) we went in the sauna. Very hot! Can dive into the water adjacent to the floating sauna from the roof.

What an awesome trip! I have always planned trips on my own but wanted to personalize this trip for my granddaughters. Linda was nothing short of amazing and helped me to find the perfect tours that met my goal as well as pleasing the adults. When I had ideas, Linda would explore options, would explain why/why not it might be feasible, and/or would come up with additional suggestions. Every single day was a win when it came to experiences. John and Steig, our city tour guides, catered to our 2-62 year old group, Captain Tor was truly incredible and a family favorite. Glacier tours, Viking Village, swimming in fjords, troll forests, driving to mountaintops, Stave churches, Flam Railroad, and so much more! When Kimkim states they are always available, they are. We lost two pieces of baggage and they helped us navigate the airline (on the weekend and off hours.) When I broke my arm, they told me where the clinic was once I got off the ferry. This was critical! Finally, they still offered suggestions while we were on the trip. This wasn't we've got your money and we are done. I will definitely use Kimkim for future travel and highly recommend you give them a try.

Mathia listened and planned the trip that we wanted. He would have helped with all our Norway trip, but we only needed help planning the road trip portion. Not being the usual travelers, we wanted to experience the Kystriksveien Highway (Norwegian Coastal Highway). He created a driving trip with accommodations and activities (kayaking and guided hiking) along the way. Accommodations exceeded our expectations. Dinner at Vega Havhotell was the best meal on our 21 day trip. Once we arrived in Norway, Mathia arranged for a call, checking to make sure we were comfortable with our driving schedule. He was able to make a last minute change in accommodations to better suit our driving plans. He not only provided ferry schedules for Highway 17 but emailed daily to determine how things were going.
We definitely would recommend Mathia and kimkim to assist with travel planning. They listen and tailor a trip to suit individual needs. Knowing that Mathia or another associate was available 24 hours a day was reassuring; we know help was available should a problem arise.

The Norway trip planned by Mar was absolutely brilliantly planned , well balanced between outdoors activities and cultural highlights of this country. The trip documents are well detailed and conceived. Kim Kim offers a 24/7 service in case of emergency. Mar suggestions were always on point . Having a local guide really provides peace of mind

Mathia and colleagues were very helpful, obliging and efficient throughout the process including during the trip when we required various changes to the schedule.

The weather is so unpredictable in Norway. But the sights and experiences are of very high quality so it isn’t that important to have just sunny days.

The people are very lovely. Whether they are Norwegians or seasonal workers from other European countries. We had a lot of questions and people were very open to conversation.

Our focus for this trip was to get to know the major cities Oslo and Bergen and see some fjords and nature on the way.

The tours and experiences booked by our planner, Mar, were a great introduction to Norway.

Kim Kim is a great service because they deliver a great experience without the headache of figuring out logistics for those new to the country. It definitely made me more at ease and allowed me to just enjoy the vacation and focus on learning about the culture, language and people.

Wonderful trip. Mar made sure that everything we wanted to be included in the trip was included. She was always very quick to respond to any questions we had. She recommended hotels that were very nice and convenient. Our local tour guides were very good. Joanna in Copenhagen was very informative and spent extra time with us taking us back to our hotel. Ian for our day trip to Kronborg and Frederiksborg was also very good. Our driver for the day went above and beyond having cold water for us when we returned to the car. I am sorry I forgot his name. We enoyed our guide Marja in Stockholm and our guide for Sigtuna and Upsala, Karoline. Our driver for those two days Olga was really wonderful. I had forgotten my phone (camera) in the hotel and she let me use hers for the day and sent me the pictures. She was really a lifesaver. In Oslo, Bjorn our tour guide was nice as was the driver Morton. Our favorite part of the trip was our last part in Flam, Bergen and Alesund. In Flam our waterfall and culture tour was suppose to be a group tour but we were the only ones on the mini bus so we had a private tour with the driver/guide that was really friendly and informative. I am sorry again that I do not remember his name. Bergen was our favorite city. It was really beautiful and Mar had selected a hotel perfect for walking around and seeing the sights. Alesund was our last stop and it was a very pleasant surprise. I was not aware of it before Mar suggested it and it was beautiful. Our hotel room that Mar had selected was the best room of the trip. We had large windows with a sitting area that overlooked the water. Beautiful view from the bed and the sitting area. Our driver with the transfer service from the airport, Lene was unbelievably nice and went way beyond to help us. When I mentioned to her that we wanted to go to the Fjellstua Viewpoint but it had 418 steps so I wasn't sure my 82 year old husband could make it. She offered free of charge to take us before dropping us at the hotel. She also drove us around a few streets in the town and told us what was there. When she dropped us back at the airport she helped us with our luggage into the airport. I can't say enough good things about her. Overall a very enjoyable trip.

This hotel is really nice with a outside garden area and also a glassed in area for breakfast or other meals. They were extremely accomodating to us. We had booked a room with two single beds and when we got there the elevator was broken and these rooms were only on the 5th floor. So they upgraded us free of charge to a family suite that had two bed rooms, 1 and a half baths and a sitting area. Very nice place to stay and very convenient for sightseeing and to take the train.

Our guide Karoline was very nice and helpful. She arranged so we could go straight to the Vasa Museum when our tour was over so we only had to walk back to the hotel instead of both ways.

Our driver Olga we had for two days. She was great. She heard me complaining that I forgot my phone (camera) in the hotel so I wouldn't be able to take any pictures and she offered her phone to me to use and sent me the pictures. She really saved the day. She also dropped us at the VASA museum when the tour was over so we didn't have to walk there from the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a trip to Norway that was nothing short of extraordinary, all thanks to Kimkim agency and our exceptional travel partner, Mathia. From the very beginning, Mathia listened intently to my goals and crafted an itinerary that I could have never planned myself.

The trip included special, hard-to-get reservations at Flor & Flaer, and three iconic guided hikes that were simply breathtaking. Mathia spent more than a year meticulously planning this trip, and not only was it perfect, but he also provided a personal touch every step of the way.

Pulpit Rock Classic Summer Hike

I recently embarked on a hike to Pulpit Rock, and it was an adventure like no other. We chose the much more challenging, less-traveled route, which included a canoe trip, scrambling up boulders, and a very long trek. The guides were fantastic and ensured our safety throughout the journey. I must admit, I was terrified at times, not because of my fitness level (although I am 54), but because the route was dangerous at certain points. However, the guides were always there to ensure my safety and provide support. Despite the challenges, it was an incredible experience. That said, I would probably opt for the Nepalese Sherpa stairs next time for a less daunting experience. Nonetheless, this hike was unforgettable, and I highly recommend it for those seeking an adventurous and thrilling journey.

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a guided hike of Trolltunga, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Joe, was absolutely fantastic. He was not only fun and engaging but also incredibly supportive throughout the hike. As someone with 54-year-old knees, the descent was particularly challenging for me. Joe was there every step of the way, helping me safely navigate the trail and providing much-needed encouragement. His assistance was invaluable, and he ensured that we didn't miss the last bus to P2. I highly recommend this guided hike and can't thank Joe enough for making it such a memorable and enjoyable adventure.

What a trip! The Kimkim group did a wonderful job planning our activities and customizing the trip for our interests. They were very responsive and highly communicative during the planning stage of the trip. We particularly enjoyed the time spent in the fjords on the Norway in a Nutshell section after we left Bergen. They were awesome! After seeing those fjords, I think the fjord boat ride from Bergen could have been skipped and spent the time enjoying Bergen. We loved the lodging in Flam! Perfect for what we look for--quaint and with a beautiful view. We did a guided bike tour in Oslo that we arranged ourselves which I would recommend. Unfortunately, I had Covid in Oslo and spent most of 3 days in bed. Except for the initial problem with payment at the Bergen hotel that took about 1 1/2 hours or so to get straightened out (I believe that was the hotel’s mistake), all the arrangements worked very smoothly.

Norway in a Nutshell Tour

Absolutely loved the fjords! This was the highlight of the trip. All the transportation was planned well, the guides were knowledgeable and we were very lucky to have dry, pleasant weather.

I do not typically review experiences to be posted online. However, I received an email asking me to review our experience with kimkim and our specialist in particular. I was just trying to figure out how to do that on my own and I am happy to oblige.

Our trip to Norway was a twice thwarted attempt to bring our family to Norway to see where our family had immigrated from years ago. With four busy kids, a busy family schedule and careers to manage, it didn’t look promising and I reached out to a number of companies, a few of which said that I should have started months before. That was decent advice, but not helpful.

I ran across kimkim randomly online and was curious about the ability to curate our own interests into an agenda with a date range focusing on Norway. Admittedly, not everyone would want the same experiences if given the option to give their opinion, but the tool which gave me an option to select certain things as options including experiences -like a survey-was very clever and helpful. Once that was done, Kadri was assigned as our local expert. I don’t know how much time Kadri spent with us, but she was extremely patient behind the scenes as we had to maneuver a few schedule changes when our airline would not allow us to use stored miles to apply towards the trip (even though previously they indicated we could). Kadri faithfully put together a number of options for an itinerary that fit our desired agenda and had some great additional options as part of our schedule was fluid. When one part of our trip could not come together, she gave some very specific insight about an alternative that ended up being one of the highlights of our trip (spending time in Balestrand and staying at the Kviknes Hotel). In addition, she gave us practical advice which was very helpful.

I did find a friendly competitor of kimkim online and out of curiosity I submitted a similar criteria and was told that we would need months more to plan. That was all I needed to know as Kadri was at work behind the scenes.

The professionalism of the agenda, the links, the access to tickets and the detail was elegant and user friendly. Being able to share it with the family was great. Also, I had priced this trip several times and I found the overall package price of the trip to be very competitive to some long-established travel companies that I had tried to put this trip together with in the past.

We had an amazing trip and I referenced the kimkim itinerary and website several times a day. We are very grateful for Kadri as she was simply excellent not only in her work product, but patience, understanding and additional insights that I did not expect. I highly recommend her and the kimkim team for travel and I hope to use them again.

What a fun and beautiful country! We really enjoy the outdoors, and kimkim and Eliise provided excellent adventures for us. We saw Bergen, explored Stavanger, and canoed then hiked up a secluded trail to overlook Pulpit rock. We highly recommend the tour!!

We loved Norway. I was impressed by how convenient all the hotels were to all of the activities at each location- i.e. The Scandic Byporten was so convenient to the train, and centrally located to the museums. My favorite hotels were the marina apartment hotel in Flam because of the incredible Fjord view, how it was out away from the main part of town, how quiet it was at night and their restaurant, as well as Gudvangen because of how quiet it was at night, their delicious Fish restaurant and fantastic pizza restaurant and the Viking village and trail to Bakka. The Scandic Voss was great because of its convenient location and the beautiful sauna they had.
My favorite activities were the Floating Sauna in Flam and the ebike ride in Voss. Our ebike guide, Daniel, at Outdoor Norway took us on a fantastic route with varied terrain and taught us a lot of Mountain biking techniques. We enjoyed the kayaking and our guide, Kelly, who was very knowledgeable, but the level of the kayaking was too easy for us. Although it was an enjoyable trip and lovely to be on the Fjord. The Stegastein Viewpoint was incredible, too! We loved it all. The Flam Railway was great, too. I would love to return and experience the Flam Railway when it's less crowded to enjoy all the scenery.
Our initial room at The Scandic Bergen was a dark and noisy room on the airshaft. We were able to request a different room that was on a higher floor and on an outside wall with a nice, little balcony. What a difference! At every hotel the breakfasts were delicious 😋. Thank you for everything! We enjoyed our Kimkim experience.

This company, especially Tom Christer literally made my dream come true. I had booked this trip in 2019 and had already paid a part of it. Tom, kept contact and waited for me to both manage my new work situation as well as changing finances for "4 YEARS!!!!" They kept my payment and tweaked the tour based on my new needs. I am 67 and was travelling alone in a new country I haven't experienced before. Tom (and the team when he was otherwise busy) had extremely helpful suggestions throughout the trip. I never felt alone and saw wonderful things, ate wonderful food met very interesting people on the way.

They answer every question, you feel you have your private tour guide right next to you during the trip. North Americans must be aware that Europe does not have "coffee cream" (although I found Kaffeflote from Supermarket https://meny.no/varer/meieri-egg/flote/kaffeflote/kaffeflote-10-7038010043307 😁 Hotels were quite comfy, also, North Americans pay attention single room or budget means very narrow one person bed !!! twins were really good and Norway hotels do not have Air Condition !!! This is nobody's fault but if you go in summer you can suffer a bit. The silver lining is you can open windows in Europe which we cannot in the US and Canada, hence, need AC.

I have been to Bergen Trondheim and Tromso, and although I liked all of them my favourite will always be Bergen. I will definitely come again and ask these wonderful people for a new arrangement then. I suggest if you like travelling in Norway, let them guide you without breaking your bank. Thank you very very much for this once in a lifetime trip , which will hopefully be twice or thrice in my lifetime🥰🇳🇴👍

Tricia planned a great multisport (glacier, hiking, biking, rafting, ziplining...) weeklong trip for our family into the fjords for us at the very last minute. We didn't decide to go until two weeks before departure and it was at the height of season! She worked quickly and found us accommodation where there seemed to be none. She found activities for the varying interests and abilities of our family and then juggled booking those tours and activities that all seemed to be all booked up when I checked. Tricia, Tom and the team also were readily available to handle and solve the small issues that arose during the trip and kept those irritations to a minimum. We had a lovely trip and could not have done it without Tricia. It was a pleasure and easy to work with her and she put together a great itinerary for us with lightening speed. Highly recommended.

We really had a good time. Elise was fantastic and on top of everything.It rained quite a bit, but that made the waterfalls more spectacular. We did the bicycle ride ride after we hiked dow from the gondola ride in Voss and it as quite fantastic. We also loved the floating sauna in Flam. We were disappointed with our room in Bergen and we had words with management, but that had nothing to do with Kimkim. So overall we thought it was a great way to see Norway. If the Kimkim team would like to suggest a trip through Denmark, Sweden and Norway for about 3-4 weeks at the end of next summer that included all the same activities, I'd love to hear about it. It was busy. The staff was the most rude here. Theye put us in a back facing room that stank of Chinese food from the restaurant behind us. Also there was construction going on and the tube for the debris ran next to our room so every 15 minutes there was a loud rumbling right past our window and a crash of glass and bottles into a dumpster. I asked to move and the young assistant gave me a hard time, but eventually gave us a better room and it made a difference.
