The best place to stay. You are staying on a farm with a native Peruvian family. They take care of you like you are family. The tour and cocoa activities were so fun. They made our stay special. The food was amazing. The chef cooked excellent dishes that were gf. Two of us have celiac and our dishes were fabulous.

This was a private, beautiful barbecue, that we did at a small hotel that sits above the city. It was fabulous. Lizbeth took us there and then we walked home.

Staying at El Mangal was another highlight of the trip. Amazing experience with being on this plantation/farm/orchard. Stay here!

Manuel Cevallos has great knowledge about this area too. It was a beautiful day. He brought a personal friend that was a Sharma (?). He did a prayer ceremony and made an offering to the mountains and glaciers. It was a great personal experience and then he did a prayer for each of us with the offering. It was amazing to hear his story of how he became.

Bucket list complete! Once you walk through an area you can’t turn around. It’s one direction so don’t rush. Take your time in each area. It was interesting how every tour guide said different things about the same item or use at MP. It was nice to listen as you walked.

To enter through the sun gate and see Machu Picchu right there was absolutely amazing and something I had waited my whole life to see. It seemed surreal. This was a fantastic experience. The views were amazing, and the challenge was self fulfilling. Don’t miss this 1 day experience. I have two bad knees, used walking sticks and took my time. My 14 year old daughter, who never exercises, ran most of it. The hike is uneven trails and tons of steps. It was hard, but doable at your own pace. One day hiking was plenty.

We did not go to the Salt flats. We did the weaving and llama trek. Tour guide Manuel Cevallos was exceptional. It was evident that Manuel had an exceptional reputation there, we were immediately welcomed as his friend. They were kind to us and served us very well in learning about weaving, llamas and alpacas. Roaming the store and looking at all the items in the store was very fun too, and we probably spent too much time in the store, and money.

What a great experience. Chef Christine had so much energy and made the class amazing. Two of us have celiac and 4 people didn’t like seafood and I asked for something we could make at home in Idaho. She did it, she gave us a gf dish that my 14 year old could follow the recipe and create again at home. If time allowed we all would have done another class. She also had so much information to share regarding cuisine in Peru.

Family is kind, amenities are good, food was tasty, and the excursion was fun

Very cool vibe, nice touches, like hot water bottles in our bed, hot tea in the evenings , etc. Nice breakfast. Central location. Excellent staff.

Wonderful experience - delicious food, comfortable and beautiful cabanas, great excursions. No wifi or cell network, so it was a great way to kick off our honeymoon fully disconnected from the world (no temptation to check work emails!)

As Lima is a very big city and the sites to see are very spread out, which means you need to taxi/uber between all visits. Having a guided tour of the city to bring us to the museums/sites to see would have been a nice addition to our trip.

It was nice to be dropped off at the bus, but we would have liked it if Kim Kim could handle the border transfer between Peru and Bolivia as it was a disaster.

Our guide José, was great. It was very interesting to learn about the local cultures here and how they were similar/different to other Quechua communities we'd encountered so far during our trip. The boat trip to Taquile Island was nice and the view from Taquile was beautiful with a delicious lunch.

The Titicaca Train was a first class experience and discovered the pisco chilcano! The train was beautiful, the scenery was beautiful, the food was delicious, the entertainment was great. Highly recommend! We're so glad Kim Kim was able to book this last minute for us once Peru Rail reopened the line a week prior as it certainly beat an 8hour drive!

We did the 2 Day Inca Trail as the local travel agency purchased the incorrect permits and only bought the 2 day Inca Trail permits. The 2nd day, isn't actually a hike, it is just visiting the actual archeological site. We were unaware that the entry ticket for Machu Picchu only covered 1 circuit, which means that you don't get to visit the full site. We would have preferred having more time at Machu Picchu, even if that means purchasing multiple entries to see the full site. The train back from Agua Calientes is quite a bit of fun.

We did the Inca Trail 2 Day as the local travel agency purchased the incorrect permits and only bought the 2 day Inca Trail permits. Day 1 from km 104 - Beautiful hike with lots of stairs and other Incan ruins along the way. Seeing Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate for the first time is truly extraordinary.

We did the LARES TREK as the local travel agency purchased the incorrect permits and only bought the 2 day Inca Trail permits. LARES Day 2 was less interesting as it was a downhill slope until lunch time and the rest of the afternoon was spent with other activities rather than hiking.

Good briefing, but there was a misunderstanding between Alpaca Expeditions and Kim Kim. We had to call Alpaca Expeditions as they did not show up at the scheduled time as they had our briefing down for a different day. The concierge at the hotel called and they showed up about 30 minutes later and the briefing covered everything we needed to know for the Trek.

The only negative of the entire trip was Inkarri Hotel. The location was great and the staff were excellent and friendly but the hotel itself was not well kept. The sleeping quarters were okay although the room stayed cold despite the heaters. The bathroom was very small, the showers were cold to lukewarm and unfortunately periodically the bathroom smelled like sewage.

Dropped us off at the airport in time and off we head back home and to reality.

Arturo was great. Went to the local markets and indulged in the wares. Saw central Lima and ate at a local restaurant. Amazing experience compresses in 6-7 hrs. Arturo dropped us off at the beach front and we walked back to the hotel for some Pisco sours and the dinner. Sad to be leaving this amazing and friendly country.

Flew to Lima. Plane was delayed so our evening in Lima was rather short. We did walk around Milaflores.

Was a slower day as we were fairly exhausted from the previous days. The morning we relaxed and walked around in Cusco and the afternoon was spent visiting couple of locations and we visited a Shaman who "read" our fortunes using Coca leaves.

What can I say? Breathtaking! Otherworldly !! Justino was a kind guide as well, paced it well taking into account our kids pace.

Truly enjoyed it. A short immersion into the village life in Peru.

Was great with Paul driving and Justino riding shotgun and being our personal guide. We learned so much about Peruvian and Andean culture. Was exhilarating. Kids loved the anomal experiences tremendously.

Most beautiful place on earth! The gardens are incredible and the food amazing. The staff and owners make you feel like family when you walk through the door. Rooms were very spacious, clean and cozy with the most incredible views! This amazing oasis will not disappoint. 💖

The hotel was good. Again, the room was cold because the wall heater was inadequate. The king size bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Hotel was wonderful - it was a bit of a walk to get to it. The king bed was comfortable and the room was warm and appealing. The staff was very helpful and kept our luggage the next morning and delivered it to the train station in the afternoon. Everything was excellent.

The room was nice but it was cold and the small space heater was inadequate. The night we stayed, something happened and there was no hot water. When mentioned the next morning, the manager discovered something had happened and was able to correct the problem but it was too late for us. The manager was very nice and apologized for the problem. It was unusually cold and I'm sure this room would have been fine had it not been for the weather.

The hotel was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. They made good suggestions for restaurants, etc. The room was comfortable - the only negative is that it was just a double bed (not a queen or king).

We didn't do this tour because we didn't arrive in Lima until after 1 pm and by the time we got to our hotel it was after 3 pm. Liz offered to do a later tour but we were tired and didn't want to have a tour that lasted until 7 pm so we cancelled. It was ok but if we had it to do over, we would have flown to Lima the night before so that we could more time to do the lima tour.

Alexandra was wonderful and spent most of the day with us. We enjoyed all that we saw. Alexandra was very animated and knowledgeable. We were grateful to have her as our guide.

As mentioned, we arrived 5 minutes after the appointed time and they wouldn't permit us to do this hike. It was disappointing.

Franco was wonderful and very patient. One of the women in our party was struggling a bit with all the climbing and walking and he helped her quite a bit and moved at her pace. He was very knowledgeable and actually spent more time with us than we had planned. The only negative is that we arrived 5 minutes late for the Huaynapicchu hike and they wouldn't let us do it. We had to hike the smaller mountain. Everything else was wonderful.

It was fun and interesting. The food was great. Nothing but positive comments.

The weather wasn't the best but Alexandra was a wonderful tour guide and gave us non-stop information. Sacred Valley was beautiful and we enjoyed everything we saw. I climbed to the temple in Ollantaytambo and am glad I did. It was amazing. The pachamanca also was a real treat

We tent camped during the Inca Trail trek. The experience was good, despite the rain.

The Casa Andina Premium Cusco was a fantastic hotel with great service, good food, a lovely room, and a quiet location. Highly recommended.

The hotel was convenient, being right across the road from the airport. It was a good place to stay for a quick overnight due to our flight times.

The Rainbow Mountain Trek was better than anticipated. Although touristy, the actual hike was picturesque, and the snow on the mountains made it even more beautiful. We had a headache afterward due to the altitude, but it was worth it.

The lunch at Mountainview was unbelievable - both the food and the view were incredible.

The Inca Trail trek was great, despite the rain. We had porters, who were essential, and all our meals were included. The only downside was the boxed breakfast on the last day, which was not very good. We recommend bringing your own snacks.

The Cusco City Tour was very good, and our guide was fantastic. We had him the entire time, which was a great experience.

Cusco is an amazing city, although the altitude is intense. We definitely noticed it in our hotel, but overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Amazing hotel with a great location.

Tierra Viva Cusco Centro was a lovely place with a great location. The only downside was that there was no fridge available. Excellent service and a comfortable stay overall.

We enjoyed the hike to Humantay Lake, the guides even brought a birthday cake up and sang for my brother. The roads on the way to the trailhead however made us very nauseous.

We ended up skipping the hike to Rainbow Mountain due to some altitude-related concerns, but our guide provided us with a great alternative, exploring nearby ruins instead. Rating: 4/5

Hiking the Short Inca Trail was an amazing experience. Though some group members found the altitude challenging one of our guides helped them throughout the trek, and everyone managed to complete the hike. Machu Picchu offered breathtaking views.

The rafting experience was great, with class 3 rapids being ideal for our group. Our guide was fantastic and the restaurant we visited afterward had amazing views and delicious food. Overall had a wonderful day.

The Via Ferrata & Ziplining experience was quite adventurous and enjoyable. However, it was more strenuous and somewhat intimidating than expected for some of the group members. Nonetheless, the guides provided great assistance along the way.
