There were initially some lapses in communication, but these were resolved. Overall the trip was exactly the type of tour we were looking for and all ran as smoothly as could be expected. We learned some things about requests to make for hotel bookings for the next trip we plan with KimKim. For the most part all hotels were in a great location. The company was very responsive to minor issues that crept up along the way. We're very pleased and will travel with the company again. We've also recommended it to many friends.

This hotel was not up to the standard we were expecting. It doesn't deserve more than 2 stars. We were very disappointed with it.

There was no character. It was a basic hotel. There wasn't even a coffee making device in the room. Very few amenities. There was a tub/shower, but no place to store things in the bathroom, and the bathroom smelled bad constantly. We had a room on the first floor facing the street to there was a lot of noise. No AC so you had to open the windows sometimes. We just didn't like this hotel at all.

I expect we were booked here due to it's proximity to the train station. However, we didn't end up using the train at all for this part of the trip. We used an Uber 3 times to get us to two of the tours and to the airport. There was no advantage to us to being so far away from most of the important sites in Copenhagen.

If we'd had a room on an upper floor, which we requested but didn't receive, we would probably have been happier with the hotel. Breakfast was fine. There seemed to be some activities available on the main floor for kids, so it's probably a good fit for families, but it didn't suit us.

This is a lovely hotel with a perfect water front location. There is plenty of seating with views of the water and also a courtyard with seating if it got cool on the water. Blankets were provided on the backs of chairs and couches if it got cool. They had live music in the courtyard one night. Providing a dinner meal as well as breakfast was helpful. The dinner food was adequate but not spectacular.

We were initially assigned to an awful, tiny, dark room that had such a sloped ceiling you could only stand up straight on one side of the room. We couldn't imagine spending 3 nights there so we went back down to the front desk and asked for a change. They were able to move us to a much nicer room with a small balcony. This bathroom also had plenty of storage space and a tub/shower so we didn't soak the floor there. We very much enjoyed this hotel, but if we hadn't been able to move rooms it would have been miserable.

Perfectly located and a very large room. The room decor was a bit spartan but it was comfortable. The hotel had a lot of seating areas where you could gather with people who were traveling with you. We saw families playing games and couples chatting together in various locations around the hotel.

this was a perfect location for us, but the room we were assigned could have been nicer. It was VERY small, but at least it was very quiet, which we appreciated. Staff were extremely pleasant and breakfast was good.

This was fun. Thor, the guide, was informative and funny but quite full of himself. He was also very unkempt, meaning his clothes were dirty and he didn't smell very good. I think that might be part of the image he's trying to project. We were among the oldest participants, but that didn't bother us any. It felt strange to be following a guy with a rolling cooler full of beer around the streets, but that made it quirky and fun. It was very conveniently located for us since our hotel was right around the corner from where it started, but it's not the greatest part of town overall. The beers were just ok - nothing special.

I rarely write reviews unless my experiences are exceptionally good or absolutely disastrous.
We have travelled the world extensively and utilized several travel agencies including great trips with KimKim several times. Historically, the trips have gone as planned with the activities and logistics going nearly flawlessly after extensive planning and attention to detail. Unfortunately, after numerous virtual meetings with our KimKim Travel expert, followed by numerous e-interaction interactions with the scheduler prior to the trip, the logistics of this trip to Sweden were absolutely a disaster!!! The activities, guides and accommodations were very good, however, the overall transport to and from activities (starting with not being picked up at the airport) along with several mis-bookings (one activity didn't actually exist), poor activity coordination and many miscommunications led to the most stressful trip I have ever experienced. We hired Kim Kim to ensure that we could be care-free. Ultimately, we had to literally planned much of our own trip on the fly with tremendous stress. This was also quite embarrassing for us because we planned the trip for 3 additional couples. If the management were to look at the numerous written and whats-app records of both the emergency hot line (that was worthless), and e-communications (to the trip planner and scheduler), they would see that there were numerous interactions from our landing in Stockholm until our departure. Unfortunately, the hot line and e-communications did virtually nothing other than to be verbally apologetic....virtually no actions that were helpful or taken when we needed them the most. I spent 40 years working for a large corporation as an executive and our mantra was "the customer is always right!". When your business is 100% customer service oriented it was unfathomable that was there was a nearly complete system failure once we landed in Sweden. After returning from our trip and we had several additional discussions with various KimKim employees, they refunded a small portion of the total trip as a token recognition of our unfortunate experience this time with KimKim. Personally, I would have expected more along with letters of apologies from all that were involved (along with management) for this debacle. Hoping that KimKim will closely review our situation carefully to ensure this never happens again! Nothing else needs to be said.

From the very beginning of our inquiry about travel in Sweden Kadri and Camila were very responsive and helpful. They provided the initial outline, responded to questions and made adjustments easily. The hotels they selected were just perfect: interesting, well located, and comfortable. Our train travel was very convenient. They provided good directions to get us from one location to another. I also want to compliment kimkim's "emergency" service. We had a late night question during the trip that affected the next morning's travel. Using the contact information kimkim provided prior to our trip, we connected and received an answer immediately. No worries! Most important for travelers is to have help readily available. Kadri and Camila (and the one-time emergency service) provided that peace of mind. This was our second trip with kimkim, and we will plan for a third soon! Thank you, Kadri and Camila!

We had a GREAT GUIDE! He was full of stories about the history of the castle, as well as the general history of Sweden at the time of this castle's active life. Interesting place to visit, not quite like the typical palace tour where rooms are loaded with fancy furniture etc, but instead magnificent rooms that have stories to tell.

Glad we had the chance to see this extension of Stockholm. Very scenic. The lunch provided was very good, but unfortunately when one is in the dining room, we could not hear the narration of the boat's guide as he pointed out special locations and described some history. As nice as it was to have the lunch, I think that it would be a better experience to wander the boat or sit in one of the several passenger areas, use the snack bar if necessary, and soak in the sights AND the guide's narration.

Sodermalm is not the most scenic place, compared to the Gamla Stan, but our tour guide added focus on the history of the area and the changing culture, as well as pointing out dining locations. A really good counterpoint to the usual glitzy tourist tour.

We were late getting our trip dates finalized but Kadri was still able to create an itinerary of places for us to stay as well as the various activities we wanted to do! We had a wonderful time on our family trip to Denmark and Norway which was organized with the help of Kim Kim! We were travelling with 11 people (ages ranging from 3 years old to grandparents) and Kim Kim helped put together a fantastic itinerary, booked excellent accommodations and helped arrange the complex logistics of transportation for a 17 day trip all the way to Tromso in Northern Norway. We started trip planning at least 8 months in advance as we knew we would be travelling in high season. As a result, we were shuffled between a few different local travel specialists (which has never happened before with past trips). But everything worked out and it was wonderful to work with Kadri and her team! We were very impressed with the accommodations booked, the smooth logistics of transportation and small adjustments she made to the itinerary to make for a wonderful Scandinavian adventure! Kadri and her team were very response to any questions we had once we departed and the trip was very smooth. The excursions they recommended and booked were excellent while still allowing for lots of independent time to feel like we were on our own adventure! We especially enjoyed the RIB boat in the fjords of Balestrand and the boat tour out of Oslo. Our family had a blast and we look forward to planning future trips with Kim Kim again!

RIB-boat tour to Finnabotn

We went out on the boat on a cool morning with drizzling rain and we not sure what to expect. We went suited up in warm and waterproof suits with goggles and ended up having the most amazing 2 hour trip through the fjords. Definitely a highlight for both the kids and adults and our local guide was amazing! Highly recommend!

It was a pleasure working with Pushpak in planning our trip to Gotland. He was extremely helpful and receptive to our needs and took care of all our questions promptly.
I would highly recommend and work with him in future.

The outline of the trip was excellent. We were able to see and do a lot of fun and unique things. I am giving 4 stars due to a lack of attention to detail in certain aspects of the trip plan (e.g. transportation arrangements) and slow response to issues during the trip.

Our family vacation to Sweden was the BEST! The Ice Hotel in south Sweden was incredible as well as learning about the Sami culture (Natives to Sweden). Her response time was almost immediate, how could you expect more.

We had an amazing time in Sweden! We had terrific guides throughout the trip. Zennid was knowledgeable and great with the kids in Stockholm. Rostrum took us on a beautiful kayaking trip that was suitable for all levels of experience. The hiking around Torsö was incredible. Tours in Gothenburg were fun. The Universeum was the interactive and entertaining for all ages. I would definitely return to Sweden and would love to plan a trip to Iceland with Veronika!

Veronika had some awesome parts of the trip set up for us.
I loved the train trip to Flam and the pastry class in Copenhagen.

Booking a trip with Kimkim was easy. Veronika was fantastic and her recommendations were all spot on. The activities were enjoyed by all (not an easy feat since we also have 2 boys ages 6 and 8 years old). The domestic flights, car rentals, and train tickets were all arranged through Kimkim, and everything went smoothly. We never even thought of Lulea as a destination when we decided to visit Sweden. We are so glad that we went with Veronika's recommendation! The location of the hotels in both city was great. Centrally located. Easy access to all transportation.
One special shout out to our private tour guide in Stockholm: Gunnar. He is fantastic. Extremely knowledge, great sense of humor, and very friendly. We never felt rushed during the tour. He patiently answered all our question (and we have lots of questions!).

2 min walk from the Stockholm City train station, which made our trip to and from airport, Sigtuna, etc a breeze. The decor in our room was modern (we booked a suite since we are a family of 4 with 2 small children). The included buffet breakfast was great. Veronika prepared a fun itinerary for a short trip to Sweden to the see the Northern Lights. Veronika was available throughout the trip and answered questions promptly. When a train was cancelled, she immediately re-booked us on an alternate route, and our trip continued smoothly. She herself needed to take a flight during our trip and took the initiative to find a replacement guide in case we had any questions while she was travelling in case we couldn’t get in contact with her. Veronika put together an intricate itinerary which involved a few different hotels and activities, all in a short 4 day visit. She gave restaurant suggestions and made reservations where appropriate. Working with her was a breeze. Veronika is friendly, accomodating, and a joy to work with!

Veronika was great at helping us plan our trip in Stockholm and Kiruna. She was well organized and had lots of good ideas, and was flexible to work with. I would totally recommend her!

Silvia was incredible. She pulled together a fantastic itinerary for us to see Sweden (Stockholm and north of the Artic Circle to Kiruna and Abisko) then to Iceland. The tours and accommodations were spot on. We had a number of quick questions on the trip and she always responded quickly, often real time. It was just nice knowing someone with detailed knowledge of the areas we travelled was available throughout the trip.

Because Silvia was amazing, I think I would use KimKim again but they are not transparent with fees, don’t have a platform where a detailed day-by-day itinerary can be created without a workaround, and it took the behind the scenes team weeks to book tickets once we had a plan and booked airline tickets which made us nervous some things would no longer be available that had other dependencies. We had to get more into the details and needed to follow-up on some things than expected.
