Located in the traditional village of Oia, the Art Maisons Oia Castle is a boutique luxury hotel that calls an actual 15th-century castle its home. The hotel is in a former fortress, and movie buffs may recognize it from the 1982 hit "Summer Lovers." You’ll find the hotel features traditional Cycladic architecture that’s blended with modern design and furniture.

Location

Step out the front door to explore the cascading whitewashed buildings of Oia within 2 minutes. Hop in the car and drive to the capital of Fira in 25 minutes or the volcanic Red Beach in 45. The hotel’s remote location makes it feel secluded on the edge of the small village of Monastriri. However, it’s still easy to access the center of Oia while enjoying the quiet location. Several attractions are within walking distance of the hotel.

Rooms & Bathrooms

The seven rooms are modern and minimalist, featuring warm neutral tones and whitewashed walls, and follow a cave style typical of the island. The two-bedroom Deluxe Pool Villa provides ample space, comfortably accommodating up to five guests and offering an indoor plunge pool. Each room comes with a private balcony, and some include amenities like pools and caldera views. Rooms feature standard amenities, like air-conditioning, satellite TV, a minibar, and a safe. The en-suite bathrooms have a shower, toilet, vanity and free toiletries. One unique feature of the hotel is that each room has a private terrace with its own Jacuzzi or pool.

Amenities

Although many of the rooms have their own pool or Jacuzzi, there is also one shared pool. There is no spa on-site, but reception can arrange in-room massages. Since the hotel is built into the side of a cliff with many steps, it is unsuitable for those with mobility needs or wheelchairs.
