We thoroughly enjoyed our private tour of Buenos Aires with Federico, our private tour of the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. Mendoza was the highlight of our trip. We loved all of the hotels that Emi booked/suggested for us. We were only able to spend one night in El Calafate, and unable to do any of our planned excursions in Calafate/Chalten, but we will be back! Emi stayed in constant contact with us after COVID-19 travel restrictions started being implemented, and even gave us her personal phone number. We highly recommend Emi if you are planning a trip to Argentina!

but Vi made it work
we stayed one day longer and the left for Santiago just to make shure
we could change the flight tickets with the help of the hotel and backed up efficiently by your emergency nr personel

renting the car in Europ car is always somehow a desilusion
the car promised was ( of course...) not available
the altenative was not what we had expected
these companies always flaw you one way of the other !
the highway billing system is somewhat crazy
we had no cash when leaving Temuko
so the billed us 5€ for the first 500 m highway as we had to get on the usual way tp Pucon
and around Puerto varas one had to pay every single time we hit the highway
not so expensive but not fair i felt ! at least unexpected
but then again chili is super scenic and very friendly and helpfull people
just this coronoa infection busted it up

Also thank Federico who was so wonderful in guiding us thru the city of Buenos Aires. We learnt a lot about the political background, history and cultures of Argentina. We really appreciate his service. The hotel which Emilce arranged in BA was really good. However we were not very happy about EcoIguazu's tour on the Argintina side. I was not sure about it was the S American Trip's role or the EcoIguazu's role. The guide for the Iguazu Falls on the Argentina side was not good. His didn't understand our questions very well and was not organized at all. Wasting time in making decision what we should do next. I felt so sorry for the tour members who had paid for the boat ride but no seats for them after all. I still wonder how it can happen if they have arranged the boat ride few months ago and still no room for them on the day. Other than that, I enjoyed my trip in Argentina very much. Oh, I forgot to mention about the tango show and the Argentine Experience. Both events were excellent. We enjoyed them very much. Thank you Emilce again for the arrangement. Will recomment KimKim to my friends.

It was a pleasure to meet and accompany you from here during your trip. You will always be welcome at KimKim and of course in South America.

Traveler: Christina R. - Local specialist: Virginia Crivelli

Overall we had a really positive experience using KimKim. As two people who don't speak much Spanish, we found their services to arrange tours and transportation to be a huge benefit in making our travel throughout Argentina easier. We were thankful for Virginia's responsiveness and recommendations.
We especially loved El Chalten and Los Glaciares National Park. We only had one small tour/transportation hiccup but Virginia responded right away and came up with a solution quickly.

This is my first time using the services. I had Virginia as my agent and I was very happy with her. Things were planned last minute and somehow everything worked out. My highlight was the stay at the Mercure Hotel in Iguazu. I did not do any research at all and I was blown away. Thanks Virginia and KimKim for making dreams come true!!!

Argentina Trip · Argentina - Feb 6 - Feb 20, 2020

Traveler: Douglas F. - Local specialist: Emilce Alonso

Emilce was very responsive and gave us great service. The trip itself was very enjoyable. the only wrinkle was that we had expressed an interest in hiking anddespite the fact the south of Argentina has lots of great hiking, the "hiking experiences" were mostly bus rides to scenic places.

Hi Douglas,
Thank you very much for your Review! I'm really happy that you enjoyed your trip and that you are happy with our service.
I understand that although excursions weren't hiking at all, we managed together to change some of them into more active ones for you to enjoy the destinations in a different way.
I hope we can be in contact again! South America will always welcome you :)

A great experience with Vive Atacama! · Chile - Feb 16 - Feb 20, 2020

Traveler: Jacy C. - Local specialist: Virginia Crivelli

We had a great tour with our guide, Rodrigo, and our driver, Oscar. The two had a great rapport and were both very friendly. Our favorite sight was the Rainbow Valley (which was not on the original itinerary, and we only ended up going because the Taito Geyser Field was closed), because Rodrigo took us on some paths that most tourists don't go on, and we had the whole place to ourselves. Additionally, Rodrigo has studied geology in university, so he was very knowledgeable on the rock formations and other geologic details we saw throughout the whole trip.

Recommend Vi 100%! · Patagonia - Jan 17 - Jan 26, 2020

Traveler: Amy C. - Local specialist: Virginia Crivelli

Vi did an absolutely fantastic job preparing our itinerary for Patagonia in January 2020. She was accommodating to our preferences (everything from date preferences to hotels to activities), and she served as a resource for additional activities and sights to experience during our time there. When we ran into issues with planned excursions, she went out of her way to find alternative solutions for us. I couldn't have imagined a better way to have spent 9 days in Patagonia. Thank you, Vi, for the trip of a lifetime.

Overall, good experience
Emilce is knowledgeable of Argentina and provided great suggestions. The service provided was affordable and of good quality. The only improvement I would like to see is to be provided with a fully detailed and confirmed itinerary before we departed. We made this slightly more complicated due to some last minute flight changes but in today's digital era, an updated itinerary would be easy to provide via email. We did not know our exact itinerary for each location until we met the local guide at each airport. This included formal confirmation of our flight arrivals and hotels accommodations. This made for a mistake in pickup time at one of our arrivals and required us to make some calls to confirm our exact hotel and to take a taxi to get there (which they did reimburse us for). More than anything, this lack of explicit detail was just unnerving and can be easily fixed with a detailed itinerary.

I'm sorry I didn't get to send you the updated itinerary just in time. I'm glad that despite having been an organized trip with so little time, everything went well and you had a nice experience in Argentina.

Your comments will encourage us to carry on designing life-time experiences for our guests! Thanks a lot and all my best wishes to you and Marguerite.

Thank you very much and it was really nice to e-meet you!

I want to thank Virginia for helping me out on the planning for my Patagonian trip and make the most out of it within a short amount of time in the area. Communication was extraordinary since the very first moment and her tips and recommendations made my trip very memorable. I truly loved Torres del Paine and reaching to the top of Laguna de los Tres to see Mt. Fitz Roy in El Chaltén. Although there were a few issues with one of my lunches, someone not picking me up to be transferred to a hotel and some schedule changes overall it was a great experience with kimkim. Totally worth it!

We decided to go with this approach of travel because we wanted to plan our own agenda and did not want to be locked into a group tour. It was also an affordable solution for the quality of service we received

Virginia Crivelli was our trip organizer. She did a fantastic job throughout the entire experience. She helped up plan and was in contact with us during our trip. She was very professional and gave us good advise. She even calmed my fears about traveling to Chile during this time of protest and unrest that started in October 2019.

Our time in Chile included the following locations: Santiago, Vina del Mar, Valparaiso, San Pedro Atacama, Casablanca Valley, Punta Arenas, and Puerto Natales. Virginia booked us wonderful hotels, fantastic tours and plane flights in country. We had local guides who spoke English and provided excellent insights into their country and location.

This was one of the best experiences we have had traveling...and we have traveled quite a bit. I would highly recommend KimKim and their local custom service model. We never felt like a tourist lost in the crowds. The local guides were friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Thanks for the attention to details and making our trip to Chile a memory we will hold in our hearts forever!
