On the left-hand side, an hour outside of Stavanger, you will see the Førlandsfjorden, which extends for 7 miles. Closer to Stavanger, you will board the Mortavika-Arsvågen/E39 ferry, which will take you across the North Sea. Be sure to have your camera ready to take pictures of this beautiful water body. Finally, drive through the subsea tunnel Byfjordtunnelen, which runs underneath the Byfjorden

Keep in mind that this route does include toll roads, so ensure you know how to pay your tolls by checking with your rental company. If you'd rather, you can hire a private transfer and you can focus on relaxing on the drive.
