The perk of staying at a beachfront hotel means you can step straight from your accommodation onto the Costa Brava's sun-kissed shores. This can enhance your Costa Brava experience, as the Mediterranean Sea is a significant influence on Catalonia's culture and history. Though there aren't many beachfront options, this region still offers a few excellent choices for seaside stays.

This family-owned hotel, established in 1934, maintains its quaint and historic charm while offering modern, recently renovated rooms, some with a private terrace overlooking the beach and coastline.

Although Hotel Aigua Blava is not in Begur's historic center, you're only a 10-minute drive from the medieval hilltop center and Begur Castle. For a beachfront option in buzzy Platja d'Aro, Cosmopolita Hotel is a decent choice. The hotel is directly on La Platja Gran, so you can wake up to sea views and enjoy a relaxed Mediterranean vibe in just a few steps. While the hotel itself might feel a bit generic, it compensates for it with its spa, beachfront bar, and rooftop terrace, complete with an outdoor pool and sun loungers. You can also indulge in tapas, cocktails, and regional wine while enjoying the views of the Mediterranean Sea from the terrace.

The rooms at the hotel are spacious, with all the necessary amenities, such as air conditioning, minifridges, and bathrobes. To enjoy suite-like amenities, you'll need to book at least a superior room, some offering sea views and/or balconies. However, upgraded suites are more luxurious, with added features like sofas, furnished terraces, dining rooms, and Jacuzzi tubs in the bathroom. Keep in mind that if you want direct sea views, you'll need to book early, as only one side of the hotel faces the beach. If you're traveling with friends or family, you can also inquire about booking an apartment at the hotel's sister property, which is not beachfront. Learn more
