With over 80 beaches and some of the most idyllic coastlines in the Balearic Islands, Menorca is an excellent place for a beachfront hotel. Staying near the coast makes it easy to enjoy the seaside and water sports, but it also offers a quieter experience away from the cities, so you can truly immerse yourself in the island's relaxed, natural vibe.

Villa Le Blanc Gran Meliá is a beautiful seafront property in Santo Tomás, with all rooms providing at least partial sea views. The coastal location is perfect for enjoying Menorca's natural environment and offers direct access to two beaches, Platja de San Adeodato and Platja de Santo Tomás. Walking down to the sand from the hotel's outdoor garden takes less than five minutes, and you can also connect to the Camí de Cavalls trail, which wraps around the entire island.

When not on the beach, you can relax at the outdoor pool, one of the many lounges, the sun deck, or the spa with its water circuit. For meals, the hotel offers three restaurants: S'Amarador with traditional Menorcan cuisine, Cru with its all-raw menu, and Nivi, which serves paella and grilled dishes accompanied by unique cocktails.

The rooms are beautifully designed with natural tones and decor that create a warm, comfortable, and welcoming space. All rooms feature tile floors, wooden ceiling fans, arched walls, and large windows with sea views. Some units have separate living rooms, kitchenettes, and furnished terraces. However, you can also upgrade for perks like private hot tubs and pools, soaking tubs, and rooftop patios—a presidential suite features a large, private pool, interconnecting rooms, and a two-bedroom suite. Meliá Cala Galdana

Steps from beautiful Cala Galdana (photo courtesy of Meliá Cala Galdana)

This beachfront property gets its name from its surroundings, as you'll be directly on Cala Galdana, one of Menorca's most scenic coves. Just a few steps from Meliá Cala Galdana takes you to the sandy beach Platja de Cala Galdana, perfect for swimming in the calm, turquoise waters flanked by white sea cliffs. The sand is fluffy, the slope into the surf shallow, and the water crystal-clear, so it's also an excellent spot for families. And even when not at the beach, you can enjoy the views from most rooms and many of the common areas.

Rooms are relatively simple for a five-star hotel, but all have furnished balconies, with many facing the sea. Other rooms face the hotel property and gardens. If you want the hotel's full experience, adults can book one of the "Level" rooms, which feature a separate lounge area with complimentary drinks, tapas, and aperitifs, plus an adults-only pool. Some Level rooms add perks like antique furnishings, seating areas, and spacious terraces with sunbeds and private hot tubs. You can also request a corner room with a balcony on two sides.

The hotel perfectly balances those wanting a quiet experience and families whose kiddos wish to enjoy themselves. You'll find two outdoor pools open for kids and an additional adults-only pool. There's also a kids' club and multiple eateries serving various dishes. Enjoy your meals at the beach club serving Mediterranean food, an Italian restaurant, and a buffet with lots of variety—and all offer the option to dine outside with incredible views enhancing the experience. Seth Santo Tomás

You'll find Seth Santo Tomás on Menorca's famed sea cliffs overlooking the turquoise shore. Since you'll be up a bit from the coast, the views are particularly lovely, but you'll still have direct access to the beach and can catch a coastal walkway right in front of the hotel. A few steps from the property take you down to the pebbly shore, where you can relax on sunloungers with umbrellas, swim, sunbathe, and more.

Santo Tomás is an interesting property, a 99-room hotel part of the larger Seth Resort. The resort's buildings make up most of the town and provide many amenities you can use, even those at some other accommodations. You'll find three on-site eateries at the hotel: a buffet restaurant with open-air dining, a waterfront restaurant with sea views, and a cozy bar with stately furniture overlooking the pool. A sun deck, gym, and spa are also open to all guests. The entire resort offers more amenities, and as a Seth guest, you can access many of them, from other restaurants and spas to a kids' playground and pool with waterslides.

As for the rooms, expect a causal look using light tones, wood, or stone tiling. You'll find natural colors that bring Menorca into the room with you, including turquoise for the sea, golden brown for the cliffs and sand, and gray for the stones and stormy skies. Rooms have sea or garden views, and some feature private terraces with sun loungers and/or hot tubs. Learn more
