Day 1: Arrival in Ubud
Welcome to Indonesia!
Upon arrival at the airport in Denpasar, your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Ubud. Depending on how you feel, you may choose to catch up on some sleep, visit the vibrant Ubud market or one of the many restaurants for dinner.
Day 2: Rice Terrace - Cultural & City Tour
After breakfast, we will head to Ubud's famous rice paddies. You will have two hours to wander along the maze-like paths of the rice terrace, snap photographs of the amazing views and if you want, ride one of the mesmerizing swings over the rice fields.
Once you've had enough time to explore the rice terrace, we will have lunch in a local restaurant.
After lunch, you will meet your driver before heading to the Tampaksiring area. Here, you will visit Gunung Kawi Mausoleum, an ancient tomb of the last king of the Udayana dynasty, where you descend down the tomb's 300 steps. Afterward, your guide will take a short tour through Ubud by visiting the Royal Palace, which is a great place to watch traditional dance shows. You will then have some time to explore Ubud's busy central market which is filled with affordable clothing and souvenirs (but be sure to negotiate the prices down). To conclude a busy day, you will head to Tirta Empul, where you can purify yourself in the holy water.
In the late afternoon, you will have some free time to wander around the small streets of the city center and, perhaps, choose a restaurant to order dinner at.
Day 3: Cycle from Batur to Ubud
After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to the area of the Mount Batur Volcano. Along the way, you'll discover the spectacular scenery of the volcano and its lake.
After arriving, you'll get your gear ready for a 22 mile (35 km) off-road bike ride. The route offers an incredible mix of terrain all the way to Ubud with a variety of unforgettable views. You will cross bamboo forests and paddy fields on single tracks as well as cycling along small paved lanes and back roads through the local villages. You will reach back Ubud mid-afternoon.
In the afternoon, you can relax at your accommodation or spend some time at a spa. In the evening, if you're up for it, you can head out to watch a traditional Balinese dance show.
Day 4: Discover Ubud Surroundings
After breakfast today, your driver will take you to the Kehen Temple, a spot most tourists don't know about. This is a great place to take in the breathtaking Balinese architecture and natural views from the hilly outcrop it's built on without the usual hustle and bustle of tourists.
Afterward, you will visit the holy springs of Tirta Sudamala. By washing your body in the holy water, according to the Hindu religion, you are asking for God's blessing to remove negativity and bad energy from your life. You will enjoy lunch in a local home where you will be able to learn more about Balinese culture before heading to Tukad Cepung Waterfall.
As sun rays filter through the trees above the impressive falls and create natural beams across the canyon-like rock formations. Before swimming under the waterfall, be sure to snap some Instagram-worthy pictures!
You will be back in Ubud by the afternoon with the evening free to relax or explore at your leisure.
Day 5: Hike to Besi Kalung Temple
In the morning, your driver will take you to Bratan Lake. Here, you'll visit the Ulun Danu Temple. This famous water temple complex is situated on the shores of Lake Bratan with scenic views of Bedugul mountains around it.
You'll get to spend some time exploring this famous temple before heading to Jatiluwih rice terraces. From here, you'll trek to Besi Kalung Temple. This scenic hike is the ideal way to take in the vastness of Bali's picturesque scenery including the rice terraces, local villages, lush green forests, and the lovely architecture of the temples.
After this trekking, you will head back to Ubud. With your free time in the afternoon, you can head to the famous Monkey Forest or relax at your accommodation.
Day 6: Free Day in Ubud
You'll have a full day to explore and enjoy this cultural town as you please.
Suggested activities include:

Day 7: Temples & Uluwatu - Transfer to Seminyak
This morning, you'll head west to one of the most important temples in Bali, the Tanah Lot Temple. You'll definitely want to bring your camera with when visiting this temple which is built on a rock formation just off Bali's coast.
Afterward, you'll travel to the south of Bali and have lunch in Jimbaran Bay. You'll then have time to visit Uluwatu Temple, which is a particularly big temple and is built on a clifftop with amazing views of the sea below. Keep a tight grasp on your belongings, though, as the monkeys at this temple often try to steal sunglasses and other items from tourists.
You'll also be able to make a few stops at the picturesque and lovely surfing beaches such as Padang Padang and Secret Beach. After arriving at your hotel in Seminyak, which is less than 2000 feet (500 meters) away from the beach, you'll have some time to settle in. This hotel is very close to places famous for sundowners or Balinese nightlife such as Ku De Ta, Potato Head, and La Plancha.
For sundowners, you may want to enjoy a drink under the iconic colorful umbrellas on the beach at La Plancha.
Day 8: Nusa Lembongan Cruise
In the morning, you'll travel to Benoa Bay where you'll start a day cruise that will take you to Nusa Lembongan Island.
Mos travelers are blown away by this idyllic island with its crystal blue water and swings built on the shore. During the cruise, you'll be able to snorkel on the reef. The clear water, as well as the vibrant colors of the tropical fish and corals, make this experience truly mesmerizing. The program for the day also includes a village excursion around this picturesque island.
A buffet lunch is served on board, and in the afternoon you'll sail back to Bali mainland and be dropped off at your hotel.
Day 9: Free Day in Seminyak
Today, which is your last full day in Bali, is free for you to plan your own itinerary.
Suggested activity ideas include:

- Enjoy a final spa day.
Day 10: Departure
Your driver will transfer you to the airport in time for your international flight.
Depending on the time and your free time, you can decide how you'll spend your final day in Bali.
