Day 2: Trek the Ifugao mountains, Explore Pula
This morning you will be transferred to the Awan-Igid viewpoint to begin your trek through the Ifugao mountains and stunning rice-terraced scenery. You will hike through richly forested mountains until you reach a peak with an all-encompassing view of Pula, your first Ifugao village. After admiring the houses and rice terraces from afar, hike down to the village for a more intimate experience.
Hiking duration: 4-6 hours
Day 3: Hike to Cambulo, Hike to Batad
After breakfast, you will hike alongside a winding river to your second Ifugao village, Cambulo. Here the rice terraces are characterized by their pyramid-like appearance, with the terraces cut almost 360 degrees around the mountains. Continue your trek for another three hours to Batad—famous for its amphitheatre of rice terraces. Tonight you will spend the night at a village inn with a spectacular view of the terraces.
Hiking duration: 7-8 hours
Day 4: Explore Batad, Hike to Bangaan, Return to Banaue, Overnight to Manila
In the morning you will continue your hike to visit the Tappiyah waterfalls, before carrying on to further explore the village and rice terraces of Batad. After lunch, hike to Bangaan and the final village of your Ifugao adventure. Along the way, you'll trek through rice paddies passing by villages dotted throughout the ancient rice terraces. Arrive in Bangaan in the mid-afternoon to transfer back to Banaue for some well-deserved food and drink before you catch your evening bus to Manila.
