It was an amazing trip. We saw not only historical sites but also countryside, desert, Beduin house, carpet factory/workshop, Nubian village on the Elephantine island, oldest Coptic monastery.
But it was so sad to see so much garbage on every corner and children playing there.
Aswan was the cleanest of all the cities we saw.
We especially liked Bahaa, who was an amazing storytellers. Other guides gave us lots of information but sometimes it was hard to see the forest behind the trees but all of them were very knowledgeable, with obvious passion for the history of their country. We were very impressed by our guides' abilities to read hieroglyphs.

I began working with Kimkim Travel about a year ago to arrange a tour of Egypt, a lifelong dream I could finally realize.

Aya from Sun Pyramids Travel contacted us and worked very hard to help create an itinerary that not only met our desires, but was within budget as well. She is timely with her responses, given the 10 hour time difference, and cheerfully made adjustments as requested. We finally met her on our last evening in Egypt and are so happy to have become friends.

As for the actual trip, Aya's arrangements were nearly perfect. Our transports were always on time or within a few minutes, and our transport agent kept us informed.

We had three tour guides during our stay. Mohamed Allam in Luxor, Samir Gaber in Aswan and Sam in Cairo. All three were excellent, with broad knowledge of Egyptian history, and they took very good care of us, walking at our pace, offering rest stops or refreshments, and answering our questions. They were upbeat an cheerful throughout.

As with any tour of a foreign country, there were a few minor issues that caught us by surprise, but in every case, those were resolved quickly and to our satisfaction.

Our sincere thanks to the entire Sun Pyramids team, and to Kimkim for making the connection. We have had a remarkable experience in Egypt that we will forever remember.

We were celebrating our 25th anniversary with a bucket list trip to Greece and Egypt. We opted for a private experience on our Egypt part and it was truly an an amazing experience. We were taken care of really at the moment that we landed to the moment that we had to leave.

It is such a delight to have someone else take care of all the logistical details and really take the care to ensure that we are having a great time which Kim Kim and their operator Memphis tours provided us. Our tour managers Islam Essam and Abdelrahman Mohammed ensured we also knew what was next.

We had some special tour guides who are very knowledgeable and also did a great job curating the experience. Dr Osama sharaf in Cairo and Mahmoud in Luxor gave such a detailed, yet curated explanation of the many pyramids, tombs and temples. It's like we got a degree in Egyptology in a week which we quite enjoyed.

Experience was very safe and we never felt like there was any risk to us which was a credit to both our tour operator and Egypt just being a great place to visit.

Tip: Make sure to look up the weather and your quality and plan accordingly. We did that and we were in great shape.

Decor is a bit traditional here but we enjoyed it and the service was really top notch. The butler did a great job of decorating room to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in a way that was really special.

The sonesta really is a luxurious boat but it does appear to be a little dated at times. The food is truly amazing and gets better all the time. The staff is very caring and goes out of the way to ensure that you are comfortable and are taking care well.

Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at First Residence

The four seasons is a bit more of a modern hotel with elegant decor that we really enjoyed. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was really delightful because it was poolside and we had our own Cabana to enjoy local Egyptian food. We really have no complaints and just enjoyed the sleeping and the overnight stay before we got on a plane

We did this evening light show. That was really great and then the next morning we came back to get the daytime view which was in the morning and it was not too hot yet. It's really amazing to see so many different temples and kings in just one place. It's really like the central place where you can learn so much about Egyptian royalty

This was our first experience in Egypt and really amazing to see the pyramids. We got such a great explanation from Dr. Osama on Egyptian history. As we looked at pyramids and the sites around it. You get a chance to write some camels which is pretty fun and a great way to get started

Great and well organized trip. Everyone in every process was respectful and the activities were top notch. Will recommend to anyone.

Everything was so easy. We had the best driver when we were in Cairo. Raafat and Mohamed were the best team and took the best care of us. Michael was so much fun and a great tour guide and we had the best lunch with him.
Our stay in Luxor was amazing at a great hotel I enjoyed very much. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun. The food we had for lunch in Luxor was a bit suspect and left us both with food poisoning…we ate there twice too.
Our time at the resort in Marsa Matrouh was excellent. Even for a 3.5 rating hotel, the management and the staff were AMAZING and so accommodating.
I would do it all again…minus the food poisoning lol.
