Our trip to Paris was absolutely incredible, and all of the arrangements that kimkim made for us were seamless. That said, we definitely felt the schedule was overly jam-packed toward the end, and if we could do it over we would *not* have tried to do The Louvre and the Jardin de Plantes (which included the Managerie *and* the Grande Galerie de l'Evolution) in the same day. It was an incredible amount of walking, crowding, and stimulation for the kids all in one day. As a result, we decided to skip all of the scheduled activities on the last day so that we could instead enjoy the day at our own pace. All in all, however, it was the trip of a lifetime, and all of the activities we did do were spectacular. The only additional note I'll make is that we tried for nearly an hour to find access to the RER C (which would have taken us from Paris to Versailles) only to find out some or all of it is currently closed for maintenance. Had we known, we would have just taken an Uber straight from the hotel, which is what we ended up doing in the end. As it was my first time taking my girls overseas, a lot of travel lessons were learned, but overall it was a genuinely wonderful vacation and an experience they will never forget.

The Hotel Jeanne D'Arc Le Marais was really nice, with its best feature being its location. The Marais district is absolutely to die for and was centrally located for access to most of our activities. All of the staff were amazing and accommodating. I acknowledge it's a three-star hotel because of my tight budget, but the breakfast, "bar," and lack of central air took some getting used to. But otherwise, we really enjoyed it. We even found the beds to be unbelievably comfortable. If you do stay here, I recommend staying on the 2nd floor or above (which in France is the 1st floor or above) so that you can open the windows; the rooms on the bottom floor (Floor 0) have a large protective barrier over the window, so opening it doesn't help much.

If I'm honest, the best part of this experience was its location inside the Galeries Lafayette, which we spent *hours* shopping in after the baking class was over. The chef was about twenty minutes late getting started, after we had arrived about 15 minutes early, so we ended up sitting on the 3rd floor near the Concierge for more than 30 minutes. That said, the kids really enjoyed the class, and the parents were all relieved it was straightforward and not terribly involved.

We loved the Terrace Hotel. We had an amazing room with a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower.
We had a duplicate reservation at the hotel booked by Kimkim and we were over charged. I had to ask Kimkim about it and we were refunded but I think Kimkim should have carefully checked everything.
Also breakfast was an extra charge. We paid for breakfast but my daughter does not eat breakfast so that was a wasted charge. We would not had opted for the breakfast if we had a choice.
We did the Murder and Mysteries of the Louvre. It was just a private tour guide and was nothing mysterious or engaging. She was very knowledgeable and made sure we got to see what we wanted. She was very nice but was very soft spoken and we could not hear her well in a crowded museum. She needs a headset devices.
Our Versailles tour was very good!
We enjoyed our food tour of Monmarte but it was not in Monmarte. Which was not a problem. We enjoyed it and liked the wine store and charcuterie stop the best.
We had timed tickets to the Eiffel Tower to the top and had a great view. We loved the dinner cruise ! So good and very nice.
Our transportation was good as well the train and flights. We liked Amboise. It was a charming city. The Vouvray wine tour was okay. It was Chablis grapes and the wines were okay…
We saw the castles on our own through Viator to see Chambord castle which was great! We went to Monaco. The transportation train and flight was well coordinated. The West End Hotel in Nice was beautiful! We enjoyed the location. We did a catamaran boat which was a very small boat.
It looks bigger in the photo. It was clean and new. Our captain was knowledgeable and we took snacks. Because of the bobbing on the water, my daughter got seasick so I recommend taking something prior to getting on this boat.
We had an issue with transportation in Nice but Kimkim was able to get another service. Overall we had a lovely trip and appreciate having Kimkim coordinate our travels, transportation and activities. I wish that Kimkim could offer personalized catered tours instead of already prepared tours on Get your Guide.

We had a very nice cruise but my daughter got seasick. The captain was great and give us history of the areas we passed. There was a lot of bobbing of the boat so take something for seasickness if you are prone to it. We took wine and snacks and enjoyed the sunset. We really enjoyed this! The photo of the boat attached to this activity is not representative of the boat we were on. It is a small catamaran that hold up to 6 people. It is small but new and clean. No cushiony seats.

We got our tickets at the meeting spot and the guides walked us (large group) to the Eiffel Tower. They escorted us through security and then took us to the 2nd floor and then put Ilya in line for the elevator to the top. This was very helpful but there was No skip the line . We had to wait in line with everyone else. Our guide helped us get to the line.

We loved our guide. This was a private tour. We met in Monmartre but the tastings were in a different area. We had coffee, then went to a wine store with charcuterie. They give you a bottle of wine with the charcuterie… our favorite. Everything was delicious! We then went to a cheese shop and tried different cheese la. We purchased some cheese. We went to a jam store and tried different spreads and then ended up at a gelato store. All was good and we enjoyed walking in different neighborhoods .

We had a private tour guide. There were no engaging stories or mysteries of the Louvre. She took us through the area of the old moat which was neat and she made sure we saw all the interesting things and what we wanted to see . She was very knowledgeable and nice. This is a fantastic resource. When one of our destinations was cancelled because of holiday, our representative booked us an alternative that was probably better. All the arrangements were fantastic. (Our tour guide in Avignon even helped me out of a typically European parking mishap. He was great!)

Additionally, each of our hotels were fantastic and the car rental was convenient and efficient. We were very pleased (if only someone could have lowered the temperatures in Provence that week. )

It was a scrumptious and memorable experience exploring the culinary delights of Montmartre.

Taking part in the cooking class at Cours Saleya market was a wonderful experience for my husband and me. The chef was excellent, making it both fun and educational. It offered a great opportunity to learn and indulge in local flavors while the others opted to enjoy some swimming. It certainly made for a memorable day.

My daughter and I had a lot of fun on this trip. There were only a couple of things that we wish would’ve been different. Our flight arrived at 6 am and our check in to the hotel wasn’t until 3 pm. The Eiffel Tower tour was booked for the same day at 11:30 am, so that ended up being a very long and exhausting day for us, especially with the time difference. We really enjoyed the tour though, the guide was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. Our favorite was the food tour we took in Montmartre. We got to eat some delicious food and learn a lot about the history of that area. The other thing that I was disappointed about was that it wasn’t made very clear to me that I was responsible to book tickets for a couple of the attractions, like the Palace of Versailles. It said self-guided, but I had other activities that were self-guided like the Louvre, where the tickets were provided, so that was a little confusing. I was overall satisfied with my experience, the hotel that we stayed at was well located, close to the Metro, and we were able to go everywhere we wanted to. It was definitely a trip we’ll remember for many years to come!

Great location- easy metro access and near so much! Especially great if you want to take advantage of late night bars and cafes. The door lock takes a bit to get used to but once up and running it’s fine. Also, the four floors aren’t fun with luggage but otherwise not a big deal. The apartment is huge! The bathroom, kitchen and living room have been redone. (Bedroom floors are crazy noisy.) Just very sparse. No cutting boards, no laundry detergent or drying rack. Just seemed to lack some of the basics. (no extra blankets or fans depending on the season.) While didn’t impact our stay, there is nothing on the walls!

The unit we stayed in located right in town so you couldn’t ask for a better location. It also was convenient for our family of 5 as there were three bedrooms. The house was also well stocked and very cute. But it definitely needs a deep clean. (The house is definitely cleaned between visits but tons of dust and cobwebs.) in addition/ this is not a great place for people with mobility issues. The stairs to the attic are very steep and the stairs to the second floor are narrow.

All the guides provided to us were very knowledgeable, charming and friendly. It was a delight to have spent our time with them. We can't help but mention one guide who was exceptional. Valeriu on 21 July.
As we had visited Eze & La Turbie on 18 July, we requested him to take us to some other scenic and interesting places that were off the beaten track. After showing us the city on Monaco, we drove to Villefranche-sur-Mer, Peninsula Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, Nice, Saint Paul de Vence & Antibes. These were all non tourist sites but interesting and beautiful. He kept us totally engrossed with interesting stories about each of these places. He was outstanding.

Sebastian did a wonderful job of planning a trip to France for my husband and I! We had a tall order: travel across the country in less than 2 weeks, without breaking the bank or exhausting ourselves. We didn’t know where to start, or what to see. Sebastian expertly curated an incredible itinerary: we explored stunning chateaus, had insightful city tours with locals, wandered through charming towns, learned to bake classic french pastries, and so much more. The kimkim process made arranging this easy: we had a live chat, and could drop questions into it and have answers within hours. In fact, Kimkim had provided the second revision of our proposed itinerary before the other travel company we had contacted even answered our first email. The speed and clarity was unmatched! Unfortunately we had some last-minute disruptions to our vacation plans due to work conflicts, requiring a complete shift in our vacation dates. The kimkim team handled it easily, and was able to rebook our vacation on the new dates with minimal changes. They’re real pros: everything was conveniently arranged for us, we just had to show up. However, we were not “on our own” once we got there: Sebastian and his colleagues were easily within reach on whatsapp, there to help us navigate our trip and answer any questions we had. Some would call this a trip of a lifetime, but it was so good I hope we can do something like it again!

We enjoyed our time in Paris, Lyon, and southern France, however we had a few issues with our trip planning. Our "food tours" were definitely not what we considered to be a food tour. In our Lyon experience, we had 3 sad pieces of sausage and 1 small piece of cheese after a 3 hour historical tour. That was it. We were starving and had to purchase several other snacks along the way on our own. The food tour in Marseille was just sweets and no actual savory dishes representative of the area (which is what we typically associate with a food tour. Also, our bike tour in Aix-en-Provence was not properly booked, the guide was unaware that we were coming and but thankfully he was able to add us on to another group later that morning. It was not a private bike tour as we had originally booked.

The highlight of the trip was our 2 days of wine tasting with Eric in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape/ Gigondas and Bandol/Cassis areas.

Before the trip we had emphasized to our trip planner that we wanted to focus on a culinary/wine tour of France. We were disappointed in the culinary planning part of the trip for sure!

Overall, I was pleased with the services provided even though the trip itself did not exactly live up to the expectations.

Our guide was the best. She was extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately, everything felt a bit rushed because this tour was planned by KimKim to occur right as we got into Bordeaux. I wish it was planned a bit better so that we could really enjoy it more.

Beautiful scenery of surroundings of the water Was expecting a calmer ride and I thought we were going to get off the boat without getting into water and thought was a landing to walk on after off the boat. I thought was going to be on a larger boat rather than a mother boat with know covering for a senior was a little choppy ride that distracted from enjoying the ride.

Nathalie planned a flawless and thoughtful trip to France for us. It was so lovely and memorable! Just absolutely PERFECT. This was our third wonderful KimKim trip and we are so grateful for this service. Nathalie paired us with amazing tour guides and didn’t miss a beat with transportation or tickets. We had everything we needed and more the whole time. Our favorite hotel was Hotel Tardif in Bayeaux. I will mentally transport myself back as much as possible. One of the nicest places with the most helpful people. Our tour guides were so knowledgeable and phenomenal- Raphaelle, Mathias, Emma, and Gwen. The experiences were well tailored and personalized to our tastes!

I was a little nervous using an online service that I had no previous knowledge of to book my "trip of a life time". I read reviews stating "they overcharge" for the cost of the rooms and tours --- maybe a little, but why shouldn't they? I would only expect that so that they can operate a business AND you are definitely paying for convenience. It is so well worth it! I did not have to think about much while on the trip other than enjoying our time. I would use their service again without hesitation.

We just returned from an amazing trip to France. We had 2 nights in Paris, 2 nights in Reims, and 2 nights Beaune with a final night in Paris before departing. Audrey was amazing to work with. She planned a trip with all of the things we requested. Our hotels were beautiful. The hotel the first 2 nights in Paris was a little small, but it was quaint, with very nice staff and in a great area. All of the hotels were in great locations and located within walking distance of many cafes, shopping and sites. The transfers from hotel to train stations/airport were absolutely seamless. We did not have to think about how were were getting anywhere -- it really made it so super easy to get around. We had 2 wonderful wine tours. The first in Reims/Champagne. Our guide Julie was superb. She was sweet, fun, and very knowledgeable. She made us feel like she knew us for years -- it was a very memorable day. Remy was our tour guide in Beaune -- his level of knowledge of wine and history was remarkable. He took us to many vineyards, thoroughly explained the region and the wine making process. Both tours provided tastings of fantastic wines. Highly Highly recommend.

Overall I would say the trip was a success. There were a few issues but those happen. Generally the tours were good as well as the guides. The hotels were good with the exception of our hotel in Paris being too hot and in a neighborhood that didn’t make much sense from a tourists perspective. Our itinerary was pretty intense and we might have scaled back some of the activities if we did it again. There were pleasant surprises regularly as you would expect when traveling to a new place. I would rate our tour company as fine. There were a couple of issues that cropped up on a Saturday and there was no response until Monday, so that was a bit frustrating. Overall 3.75 stars

This review is a bit overdue..my first time using KimKim, but the experience and service was over the top. I would highly recommend them and would use their services again for future travel.
I decided two weeks prior to dperature that I wanted to have a summer vacation with my kids; something that blended history, culture, and experience they will cherish. Liz was able to share her insights, relate to traveling with children and give her recommendations on what worked and didn't work.
We started off 5 days in Paris and concluded with 4 days in Nice. Certainly not enough time in either place. The itinerary was very structured; guides were very friendly, fluent in English, and provided the same level of service KimKim had assured.
Our trip started with a climb up the Eiffel tower, we also had a nice four hour guided tour of the city that was catered to children's interests. We were able to experience a cooking class in a local Parisian's home; had an art class with a professional painter, had the opportunity to bike and picnic through Versailles, saw the local home of the recent Football champions - PSG. The team then organized a seamless flight transfer from Paris to Nice, which was amazing and everything you would think of the French Riviera. We were guided through the local towns and then spent a couple beach days exploring the local towns and enjoying the Mediterranean sun.
Travel is an opportunity to see the world, meet people and connect with ones self. As a single dad, this was a trip that my children and I will remember, and I hope to have another KimKim experience next year!

This place is awesome...its an old convent that took ten years to build. The grounds are immaculate. The private compound sits atop a hill. It houses its own bakery, own fresh gardens from where all fruits and produce come from. The restaruants on site are very different but exceptional. The view from the pool / spa area are amazing. The hotel is situated in Old town - very walkable. but if you don't want that, the hotel provides golf carts to transport you around the old town vicinity. A very different hotel experience that I would visit again!

This was a nice realzxing boat ride through along the coast of the Mediterranean. We took a picnic basket from our hotel and had dinner on board. The boat is more like a pontoon boat. The guide was very friendly and willing to take us whyever we wanted to venture to. We did catch the sunset which was amazing.

This was one of my children's favorite activities. We found a spot outside across the river, overseeing the Eiffel Tower. The art class entailed us to sketch, paint what we saw. The class was guided by a professional artist who was extremely talented, but also very patient in teaching and helping the children. Versailles Bike Tour

Amazing experience to bike, picnic and explore one of the largest castles in the world. We biked over 8 miles voering the Versailles grounds. The tour started with a train ride from Paris to Versailles. We stopped by a local market to pick up food for our picnic. Then we headed to pick up our bikes. The guide was very nonweldable and the tour around the grounds were very thorough.

The tour was very comprehensive and gave a nice lay of the land prior to venturing out around town. Our AMAZING family trip to France was impeccably planned by Lucie. She was exemplary in her help and dedication to provide a beautiful and unique trip for us. We had the best time...and still wish we were in France. Family memories for a lifetime.
Let me get one tiny negative experience out of the way ..the Chocolate Museum -workshop in Paris... it is a **tourist trap and only for little kids (5 year olds) & has horrible chocolate. AVOID!
We have now erased that from our memory. On to the highlights...and SO SO many.
Our guided tour (by Afsaneh) ) of the Louvre was arranged last minute by the amazing Lucie...our tour guide was absolutely the very BEST. Afsaneh is a teacher and a true lover of the arts. She brought the Louvre to life for us and expertly maneuvered us around the extensive crowds. Our experience would have been very very poor without her. A HIGHLIGHT of our entire trip. We requested this add on at the last minute....and Lucie was a miracle worker to arrange it.
We probably should have requested a tour guide for Versailles.
Our La Marais pastry tour was also a huge highlight. My kids and I absolutely loved our tour guide....she was chic, fun, upbeat, outgoing, and engaged my kids (13 and 17 yrs of age). Rachelle. Request her! The pastries we tasted were mouth watering and uniquely delicious.
Our walking food tour of Nice was also a huge highlight. Our guide, Nadia, was so kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us a great overview of Nice and SO SO SO MUCH delicious food. Do not eat breakfast before this tour. She gave us helpful hints to see Castle Hill, take the train up and walk down for beautiful views. We did that the next day.
We loved the fresh market in Nice, that Nadia showed us, and we even went back the next day. The chocolate shop we visited, again, on the tour with Nadia, is a beautiful shop with chandeliers that started in 1820 and the chocolate we tasted (and purchased there) was exceptional, mouth watering, and superior in every way. It puts our chocolate in the United States to shame.
Our hotel in Paris...Le Basile....beautiful. Delicious breakfast every morning. SUPER Friendly and helpful front desk available 24/7. Highly recommend.
I could go on and on but I touched on the major highlights. I hope they are helpful to other fellow travelers.
Traveling with my family, making lifetime core memories with my children is incalculable. Merci Beaucoup to Lucie and Kimkim travel.

Giverny and Versailles Visits with Private Transfers

This was a highlight of our trip. Having a driver for the day, was very very helpful. We LOVED Monet's garden. Absolutely beautiful. Definitely worth seeing, especially if you love gardens, flowers, and art. We wish we had a tour guide for Versailles. Having had a tour guide for the Louvre, we saw how much of a difference it made for our experience. With that being said, Versailles is a must to visit.

Adventure aboard an authentic sidecar to uncover Paris

This was a really fun unique activity. They took us to Montmartre, which was lovely to see. A bunch of streets were closed due to it being very close to Bastille Day. Driving around in the open air to get up close to things was a lot of fun. They picked us up from the hotel, and offered to drop us off wherever we liked at the end of the tour. A really fun tour.

Review the menu before booking to be sure you like the offerings. It was a bit touristy, and had a lounge type singer for entertainment. I thought it would be a more informational tour. But still a nice introduction to Paris and from the unique vantage point of the Seine River. We did enjoy the activity. After the cruise, we walked to the Eiffel Tower and it was beautifully lit up at night.

I came across this website during internet search. I knew our family wanted to go to France for graduation trip and I knew this would include Paris but I wasn't exactly sure where else we should go, since this was our first trip. I took the initial survey which was very easy to navigate and then gained a better idea of the trip could look like. On the same day, Eva called me and we talked through the survey and she offered valuable insights and then later that day she emailed me a preliminary itinerary. I decided on 3 days in Paris (including Versailles), then train to south France for 3 days in Aix-en-Provence then train to Nice (including Monaco). It was actually quite fun and exciting viewing the more detailed itinerary which featured specifics and her special comments, and I could press Like, or Dislike, or add a question or comment. Within 24 hours, any comments or questions were addressed, we made some additional adjustments, and then Eva called to speak with myself, my wife and 2 daughters. This got them even more excited for the upcoming trip. Eva had a very detailed knowledge and wealth of experience to offer, so we knew we were in good hands.
As the trip got closer, the plans were reviewed again. The itinerary could be accessed by email link to website, and even easier with kimkim app on phone.
All contact numbers were listed and indeed were accurate, for the location transfers, local tour guides, hotels. Train tickets and tour vouchers were all very clearly highlighted on the app. Meeting points were generally clear and included links to Apple or Google Maps. Transfers to/from hotels were mostly provided, and when not pre-booked they were quickly reimbursed when we got back. We interacted with various local tour guides at each destination, and all were on time, very pleasant, each was clearly experienced and passionate in their respective venues. We enjoyed every tour.
Highlights were the dinner cruise on Seine seeing Paris all lit up at night; palace and gardens of Versailles were breathtaking; tours of Lavender fields and Aix-en-Provence were so beautiful; day trip to Cassis, Calanques boat ride and Provence wine tasting were so fun and relaxing; Nice was absolutely breathtaking including day trip to Monaco; perfume workshop was entertaining and informative.
We did have to contact a local tour guide to clarify exact meeting location and they answered immediately and actually the confusion ended up being more on our end, and everything worked out fine.
The hotels were generally very good. Paris hotel rooms were smaller than what we're used to but that's how it is there.
Provence hotel was bigger and nicer but was a bit farther out from city center so there were multiple $20-30 euro rides needed. Nice hotel was excellent with great location.
In summary, we had a fantastic trip with a generally smooth transition between 3 separate locations in France.
I would recommend kimkim to anyone contemplating a Europe trip as they are experts and provided excellent service before, during and after. I plan to use them again in the future.

I can’t say enough about Audrey and the KimKim team. Everything about our mother/daughter French adventure was perfect. Audrey’s planning, attention to detail, and responsiveness was impeccable. She was able to construct a perfect itinerary to include our to do’s with suggestions of things that were better than we could have ever imagined. Her choice of hotels that were clean, centrally located, and small enough to allow us to experience the true French culture. From Our cooking class with Veronique in Paris, timing our stay in Provence to see the lavender in full bloom, organized activities and free time to relax, Audrey allowed us the perfect grand adventure in her beautiful country. We will be back for sure and plan on using kimkim for all our future adventures!♥️
