The hotel is on a a very touristy street and can be noisy at night with everyone out eating etc.

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff.

 We misunderstood the day. We thought that the driver was the guide, and we would leave the hotel in the morning makes the stops and then head back to Paris. After we toured, we then went back and hour to the hotel to be picked up by a driver to drive to Paris. It was a long drive to Paris due to traffic. Once we read your description of the day, we realized we were wrong. It was a long day with lots of driving.  The Calvados distillery we were supposed to go to was not open. Gwen found a place for us to taste 2 spirits. We did not walk through any orchards.  Cheese Tasting – We were supposed to go to a cheese tasting and see how the cheese was manufactured. That was also closed. Gwen quickly pivoted and found a place for us to sit down for a cheese and cider tasting. This was a great lunch with cheeses, meats and cider.  Honfleur – we were on our own walking through the town because Gwen could not find a place to park. We had 45 minutes to walk around Honfleur.  Since this was a Sunday we should have planned something different to do since many things were closed.

Amazing structure and history.

Wish we had spent 2 days at the D-Day beaches. We only had time for the American beaches.

Driver was on time and very nice.

Beautiful gardens. We arrived right before our entrance time so we did not have to wait long.

 Architecture & Art Nouveau tour – Solene was our weakest guide and our weakest tour. We spent a fair amount of time sitting getting a drink at the French brasserie. The group had to be divided in half to walk around and see the mosaics. We went to the Galeries of Lafayette and Printemps and that is where the tour ended. We had to make it to the roof top ourselves for the view of the city. We did not go to the Art Nouveau-inspired bank. I assume this is because getting drinks took so much time.

Laure was a good tour guide. Our stops were:  Jams and Jelly Store  Olive oil and Balsamic vinegar store  Picked up pastries for later  Corner restaurant where we sat on stools outside. We could order 10 dishes to share.  Cheese tasting was in the basement of a cheese shop. We had red and white wine, but it wasn’t a wine tasting.

It was great to have a ticket for the top of the Eiffel Tower.

It was very hot and they only put the canopy over one side of the sitting area so there was no place to get out of the sun.

Once in the reception area, this hotel is OK. BUT, there are 39 steps to get to reception. There is an elevator once you arrive in reception. Staff did help with luggage; but I wouldn’t stay here again just because of the steps.

Rooms were nicely appointed and clean. The hotel is under the process of renovation and will be closed around Christmas to complete stairwell, lobby and breakfast area. Currently it could benefit from more decor in some areas; but this is coming. It is family owned and lacks that corporate cookie cutter feel.

Great location, nice decor, well appointed rooms, lovely breakfast and convenient to Metro, bus and anything you need. The neighborhood felt like the residential part of the French Quarter in New Orleans. My favorite hotel of the trip.

We were blown away by St Chappelle. Loved it.

It rained cats and dogs the afternoon we were there. We were late to the tour, but notified the tour guide and they came back to find us and give us our tickets.

L’Empire is a very nice hotel and a superb location, near Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Latin Quarter. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom and shower. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice with a good selection of cold items - breads, meats, cheeses, yogurts, and fruit, along with a few cooked items.

Le Temps Retrouve is exquisite and was the perfect place for our family to stay. Frederic is so lovely and accommodating. He made sure that every detail of our stay was perfect. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with fresh flowers, fruit and drinks provided. There was plenty of space for us to gather and relax, including the beautiful pool. The breakfast each morning was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this B&B. We would love to make a return visit.

La Maison Bor’deaux was a wonderful hotel to start our trip. It is well-located and an easy walk to sites and restaurants. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with many cold options - breads, meats, cheeses, yogurts, and fruit, plus an option for getting cooked items.

We started our half-day tour with a visit to La Roque-Gageac which was fascinating. We did the boat cruise on the Dordogne River which was a nice way to see the town from below, and audio headsets were provided for commentary and history of the area. We also did a walking tour of the village. Later we visited Castle Des Milandes.

Fun cooking day, complete with a visit to the market to buy fresh fish and produce, and truffle hunting with our chef and his dog. It was a great experience.

We had a very fun day in Arcachon. Because of time constraints, we had to customize the tour. We started with a visit to the Dune of Pilat where we climbed the dune and had a glass of wine at the top. Some took the steps while others climbed the sand. Very nice either way, and beautiful views from the top. Next we did a private boat tour on the bay in a traditional pinasse. The highlight was the lunch onboard which consisted of oysters, shrimp, meats, pate, and of course wine. It was a delightful day.

We enjoyed our full day tour in the Saint-Emilion area. Our guide, Gabriel, was very good. We visited 2 chateaus, and particularly enjoyed Chateau Fonroque. Learning about the biodynamic process was interesting and very different from other wineries we have visited in the US. We also liked visiting Chateau Rol Valentin where we had a nice tour and a delightful picnic lunch. In between chateaus we did a walking tour of the village of Saint-Emilion where Gabriel took us to some nice overviews of the area and arranged for another wine tasting. Overall, it was a great day and we came home with many bottles of wine!

We were given a ground floor room because of my husbands back. Thank you kimkim! A delightful stroll outdoors to the bar where we enjoyed espresso in the afternoon and wine in the evening

Loved this tourist attraction but hard to find our way there especially with someone who doesn’t walk well. We had just arrived in Paris and had to hurry to make our reserved time slot.

The hotel was located in a great area. It was walking distance to shopping, restaurants, public transportation, parks, and in a beautiful neighborhood. The staff was kind and helpful, the service excellent. The concierge was able to help navigate public transportation and provide recommendations. We enjoyed the Leopard Bar many evenings and found the staff to be delightful! The head bartender took pride in a wide selection of craft cocktails that were uniquely delicious!

I highly recommend this pristine boutique hotel! It is located in a beautiful area that is walking distance to sightseeing, restaurants, and shopping. Ludovic welcomed us with champagne, ensured our comfort throughout our stay, and provided exceptional service. He helped us learn how to navigate the city and provided many recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing in the area. Although, I mention Ludovic specifically because his service was truly outstanding, all of the front desk staff were kind and helpful. If we return to Paris, I will stay here again! The hotel was clean and well cared for. The daily breakfast included fresh bakery, fruit, a selection of yogurts and cheeses, eggs, and sausage/bacon. The chef and staff were polite and the service was excellent. Our rooms were clean. The hotel was very safe and the staff attentive to everyone who entered.

We met our blue badge guide, Alexandre Davy, early in the morning for our drive to Windsor Castle. I would highly recommend a privately guided tour of Windsor Castle and St George's Chapel following the best of London walking tour. This tied all of the history of England and the monarchy together. The stories Alexandre told and the historical knowledge he provided perfectly complemented what we had learned the prior day from David. We ended the day feeling like we had truly learned about London and had such a renewed appreciation for the history of the monarchy.

One of our favorite days! We felt very fortunate to have David Mildon as our blue badge guide for the day. He met us at our hotel and we embarked on a day-long adventure exploring the best of London. He was engaging, knowledgeable, entertaining, and flexible in his desire to give us the best possible experience. We took the Underground to Buckingham Palace, but due to a garden party we were not able to get close or see the changing of the guard. David quickly pivoted, took us to see King Charles home and while walking with us through the park realized that if we detoured we would be able to watch the Trouping of the Color rehearsal for King Charles' birthday. It was one of the neatest experiences on our trip and so unexpected. We then toured Westminster Abbey and learned so much! From there we took a sightseeing river cruise on the Thames, and disembarked at the Tower of London. David knew how to best use our time so that we did not wait in line at all to see the Crown Jewels. He was delightful to spend the day with and unbelievably well informed!

Gigi, our tour guide picked us up at our hotel for the drive to Giverny. He was an incredible conversationalist and the car time flew by as we talked about the country and history of France on our drive. He stopped at a quaint bakery on our drive for coffee and croissants - we loved the cafe so much that he stopped for us again on our drive back so we could have freshly baked bread and sandwiches for lunch. Monet's gardens were breathtaking. Gigi knew so much about the life of Monet that he made history come alive for us on the tour. We were in awe of the beauty and preservation of Monet's inspiration. Following this tour we drove to Versailles, still with Gigi. He did an excellent job navigating the grounds, bypassing the lines, and giving us historical stories and information about the beauty of Versailles and the surrounding gardens.

We arrived early to get daytime pictures near the Eiffel Tower before making our way to the river. This was a top favorite experience! We were able to see all of the historical buildings and museums from the river, while enjoying champagne, dinner, and live music. The food was delicious, service excellent, and Justine again booked us with a window table with the very best views! The cruise ended with us watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night!

We had a macaron cooking class at La Cuisine de Paris - it was such a fun and cultural experience to make a favorite Parian treat from scratch! We were sent home with plenty of macarons to enjoy for the rest of our trip.

What a fun experience and a great way to wrap up our day! A must see for anyone visiting Paris!! Justine booked us at the best table - we had front row seats to the show. The acrobatics and entertainment are unmatched! Our experience was wonderful - she reserved champagne with the meal and the service was exceptional.

We followed the Louvre with a walking tour of Montmartre guided by Mathias, also booked through Toorers. We are glad Justine encouraged us to explore this part of France as we might not have otherwise experienced this area. Mathias was very well informed and tied history to engaging stories as we walked this beautiful area and learned more about the country of France.

We had a privately guided tour at the Louvre. This was the best way to explore the museum! Our guide Pat was booked through Toorers. She was fluent in English and loved the history of the museum. She was able to take us to unique parts of the Louvre - her ability to navigate the museum and show us the highlights, all while engaging us in the history of France, was incredible.

We enjoyed a wine and cheese tasting in a Parisian cellar at Musee Vivant du fromage. This activity took us into a quaint Parisian neighborhood we would not have otherwise explored. We were able to taste a selection of French cheeses and wine and learn about the geographical regions of France.

Our first activity was a 2CV private car tour to explore Paris. I highly recommend this car tour as an introduction to Paris - we were able to see all of the Parisian highlights. It gave us a feel for where everything was located, gave us ideas for our free time and showed us areas we wanted to explore. The driver was knowledgeable and informative about the city. He was engaged in the history of this beautiful city and shared his excitement with us!

This hotel didn’t feel like a 5 start hotel. I was a perfect location and staff was friendly easy check in and check out. The rooms were very small but had a nice view. The breakfast wasn’t great, although plentiful but to get hot food seemed to be a challenge. Our stay was fine but my score is more for the 5 start experience to what we felt.

Really great location. Only a quick walk into town so you got a pleasant stay away from street noise, garden setting and quaint hotel. The breakfast was well done. Rooms were a nice size and comfortable. I only wish we had bigger bath towels for the bathroom. The hotel staff was excellent and very attentive.

My favorite Champagne house because of the story and tour really was thoughtful and shared a lot about Madam Clicquot. The tasting in the cave was wonderful and very detailed as well. Time well spent.

Loved this tour and experience. It was a perfect way to experience the vineyards and navigate around the towns and canal. The winery tour and tasting with lunch was a great way to end. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and enjoyable to be with for the day. He drove up and down Champagne Avenue which was great to see.

Beautiful grounds. Early arrival was a must so we could avoid the crowds in the afternoon. We enjoyed lunch on the property which was lovely.

Charming hotel in the lively and interesting area of Montmartre. Our room was small but clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was super helpful and nice. And, the breakfast was an amazing with a delicious selection of patisserie and hot and cold items. There isn't a lot of closet/hook space for three people, but we were fine and the staff and service made up for it. The plus is that it's in a very cool area with numerous cafes and tiny shops. The minus is that it's a bit far from the center of the city with most of the museums and attractions. We enjoyed our stay.

So beautiful and we had a great room with a private patio and hot tub and kitchenette. Wish we could have stayed more than one night!

Fabulous. Wish we could have stayed for the entire tour, but we had to leave after lunch to catch our train back to Paris. Our guide Alexane was phenomenal. She was very knowledgeable, funny, and had all sorts of stories and history. She really engaged our granddaughter as well as the adults. The Chateaus and gardens were amazing. We really enjoyed our special lunch at Villesavin Castle. Highly recommend this experience. Thanks to Sebastian, we were able to get through at least 2/3 of it and he arranged a private driver to take us to the hotel and the train that made it possible.

Great - covers all the bases. Sebastian arranged timed entry for those we wanted that require it.

Long trip in and out of town, but worth seeing. Our driver, Gabriel, was a charming young man, but unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to guide us inside the grounds as he had planned. He didn't have the proper credentials. The Palace was quite full of visitors. The audio guide was a bit perplexing to use, but we got the hang of it. I wish we'd spent less time in the Palace, especially the first floor, and more time in the gardens which are amazing!

Again, this was one of our favorite activities. Our guide, Livia, was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. She was great in interacting with our granddaughter. She gave us so much interesting history about the area and the history of the Jews in France. We had a wonderful visit to the Holocaust Museum and the memorials in the area. She also recommended several places to eat that we enjoyed on a later visit, especially La Du Felafel. Highly recommended.

This was one of our favorite activities enjoyed by all of us. The chef, Matthieu, was energetic, engaging and a great teacher. And we ended up with bags of delicious pastries after the class. Highly recommended.

Very fun. Our driver, Niko, took us not just in Montmartre, but he took us by other things that we had not yet seen like the Moulin Rouge, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Pantheon. He also stopped the car and took a sweet photo of us popped up through the top of the car with the Eiffel Tower in the background. We thought that the "tour" would have a set agenda, but he wanted us to tell him what we wanted to see and we weren't quite prepared for that. He ended in Saint-Germain-des-Prés at a restaurant that he recommended and we had dinner there, but we had to find our way by taxi back to the hotel afterward. It was fun buzzing around and taking photos through the top of the car.

Of course we love the collection here, but once we entered, they said that our tickets did NOT include an audio guide. However, it was still lovely to see the Monet water lilies and there was a super exhibit of Rousseau and other artists on the lower level.

Great way to start our trip - relaxing

Tucked away on a residential street in Bordeaux, this was a surprise. Close to the tramway with easy access to the main part of town, it was quiet and restful. The staff was very helpful in figuring out how to get tram tickets and where to board. They also did a cooked to order breakfast rather than a buffet and I enjoyed what they served.

I only had one night here but I enjoyed the lovely room with patio overlooking tall trees. That was refreshing. An amazing breakfast buffet!

I really loved learning about the food specialties of Bordeaux and walking around the old town and seeing the food market.

This was a fun day. Enjoyed seeing Arcachon. I didn't have the right footwear to climb the sand dune, but enjoyed sitting in a cafe waiting for the group to return. A surprise was meeting a friend from my hometown in the tour group. She had moved away, and we hadn't seen each other in a few years. We had a lovely time catching up (and speaking English)!

Being in a real prehistoric cave and seeing the art there was a unique experience. Then seeing the reproduction of Lascaux was fascinating. The art was easier to see in this exhibit than in the smaller, real cave earlier in the day. Lunch by the river was relaxing and delicious.

This was a great experience seeing the restored chateau, learning about Josephine Baker, and seeing the bird show.

The villages, lunch al fresco, and a ride on the river were a delight.

This is an amazing site with a lot of steps! The ability to build so much on the side of a mountain was impressive.

I only had one night here and it was crowded with folks on spring break. The military aspect of the walled fortress wasn't my favorite, but I'm glad I got to see this unique town.

This was a surprise day! Since I had already been to Arles, we were able to visit La Carmargue, which was fascinating. We saw the bulls, the horses, the flamingos, the salt water pools, and the rice fields. Had a lovely lunch in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and a walk on the beach.

I enjoyed seeing Arles and thought I would be sad seeing the Hospital where van Gogh spent time, but it was pleasant and very interesting to see what we saw.

It was good to be with other English-speakers on this group tour. We enjoyed our time together and the beautiful villages we visited - including the square where A Good Year was filmed!

The hotel was truly a British gem. The decor was great, staff was very helpful and courteous. The morning breakfasts were great.

Our guide, Billie was fantastic. She pointed out a lot of really nice things and handled all the details so well.

We stayed at Mas de Peint in the Camargue for five nights. The staff at this country house were always available. The house grounds are set within a working ranch and farm with great walks past horse and bull pastures, along rice fields, apple orchards and all the way to the Rhône. We were often up early and needed to leave before the scheduled breakfast time and the kitchen staff accommodated our schedules by opening breakfast early and offering to prepare picnic lunches. The evening dinner by Chef Dan Rodrigues truly did reflect the country and I am sure the kitchen and chef will soon have their star.

Our stay in Arles at the Maison Douce Arles was a quiet oasis located in the center of the city, within easy walking of Roman monuments and great restaurants. Our hosts at Maison Douce Arles had an incredible varied breakfast and gave good tips for our time in Arles including making reservations at the Mesa, an excellent relatively new restaurant with a daily changing menu.

Kayaking with Manu is incredible experience. He guided through a windy excursion the Rhône and while tailoring the adventure to our skill levels. He was a great guide and instructor and gave us inside view of the Rhône an estuaries.

I highly recommend this outfitter for horse riding in the Camargue. The guide Amelie is extremely knowledgeable and personable and led us on an incredible adventure through the Camargue.

This hotel has an amazing location right in the old town so it’s easy walking to the city. It’s very quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the gastronomic restaurant and it was very good and since it was a very small room it was more quiet and romantic and the food was very good.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the grounds are lovely and they have the most amazing garden. Our room, however, was strange. We were supposed to have a garden view suite but they gave us a weird 2 bedroom room that had to bedrooms, one that was always very cold, and three bathroom rooms. It would have been nicer to have had a sitting area instead of two bedrooms since it was only the two of us.

This was a unique hotel. Upon check in there was an issue with our original room so they put us in the best suite with the most amazing balcony/patio with an almost 360 view of the ocean and the city of Nice. The location is quiet and perfectly situated and the staff are very friendly.

We enjoyed this wine tour but what added to it was that our driver/guide was so fun and knowledgeable.

This was a nice tour to get a taste of the specialties in the Aix with the stories behind them. Coco was knowledgeable, personable and accommodating. This day was market day so we were able to experience which was fun.

We enjoyed our day with the guide exploring Arles, Saint Remy and Orange.

Mid-sized hotel with large hotel amenities but small hotel intimacy. Rooms are spacious and quiet and the breakfast buffet is really good. Convenient to Victoria Station for ease of catching the tube around London. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby.

Boutique Hotel in heart of Saint Germain. Stylish, quiet, and intimate. No gym, laundry facilities or fridge/microwave in room but you have an awesome hotel in a super convenient location. The onsite breakfast is excellent and the service is top-notch.

A must see for anyone interested in the British royals. Was great to learn that Windsor Castle is surrounded by an actual town with lots of shops and restaurants to explore. The castle itself was good but expect crowds and bottlenecks as you navigate through. The tour was conducted by Anderson's Tour and the guide was amazing (Megan). She provided a lot of information on the bus ride out but was not allowed to walk through Windsor with us. She was great and even dropped us off and walked us to the Tower of London after for a separate tour (not through Anderson Tour).

A must see for any WWII history buffs or for anyone interested in seeing where history was changed. Tour was conducted by Blue Fox Tours and they did a great job from start to finish. Our guide did a great job providing context at each stop and allowed sufficient time to explore on our own. Lunch was at an amazing restaurant near Omaha Beach. The stop at the American cemetery was really special and helps provide a visual of the costs of D-Day.

We were provided tickets with a report time of 3:30pm to the Louvre. Because we know it's a busy museum, we thought about using the Carousel entrance to avoid the rain and really large crowds outside--good choice. As the largest museum in the world, spending just a few hours there will not scratch the surface so we focused on areas we didn't see on our last trip more than a decade ago. We saw what we could in the few hours we walked around but needed to leave when the group got hungry. I think we would have rather visited in the morning when they first open to enjoy the sights with "maybe" smaller crowds initially but also when we weren't tired already from a busy day of sightseeing. The tickets came with admission only, no guide or help inside unless we paid for something more.

One of our favorite tours on the whole trip. We had 2 guides, 1 in training and a senior guide. Both were really good as they walked us through the streets of Saint Germain. The stops were coordinated and samples were made ready when we arrived. At one of their stops, they provided a small plate style lunch at L'Avant Comptoir du Marché which was really good. History, food, and views--a really cool experience.

Tour was through Blue Fox and they did a great job. It's a long drive out to Mont Saint-Michel but they have a stop around 2 hours down the road. Expect crowds at the sight but still worth the visit.

Great food, wine, and view--there is no better way to see Paris from the Seine.

This might be the coolest way to tour Paris.

We were delighted with our hotel here. It's right at the end of the promontory, perched on the cliff top with a misty view of Sardinia in the distance and superb views of the sea and cliffs. The restaurant was very good and the staff were extremely helpful when we needed to find a local clinic. We would happily stay here again and again!

This hotel is luxurious and expensive-looking but wasn't entirely to our taste. Our room was in a stone cluster a long walk from the reception and restaurant, which was ok, but we were surprised that the room itself was so small and cramped considering all the space around the property. The restaurant was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We would have been happy to stay here longer. Beautiful setting with delightful grounds and views and our room was veyr comfortable.

Excellent hotel conveniently located in Opera district with access to many sites, restaurants, and shopping. A very friendly and helpful staff. New, comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel with warm, courteous, and accommodating staff. Lovely and excellent restaurant at the Chateau. The Chateau is isolated from downtown Montbazon and transportation via taxi or ride share is quite expensive. The room was comfortable but a bit dated and needs some upgrades to toilet facilities and lighting in bathroom.

Beautiful location offering views of Mont Saint-Michel. Staff, while friendly, was not very accomodating. However their house restaurant was excellent.

The Hotel La Bourdonnais is conveniently located with easy access to Metro, museums, and several cafes and restaurants. Its staff is extremely courteous and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable and stocked daily with bottled water.

A beautiful site and perfect way to spend our last day. Opera Garnier is conveniently located near Hotel Pulitzer and many fine restaurants and shops including Galeries de Lafayette. Agathe was another excellent and informative guide.

Another spectacular day with excellent tours of Chateau Chenonceau and Chateau Chambord. Our lunch at Chateau Villlesavin was excellent. Dimitri was a fantastic guide and fun to be around. Travel from Chateau Artigny in Montbazon to Amboise, where we had to meet Dimitri, was long and expensive. We learned from others staying at Chateau Artigny that we could have met Dimitri in Tours which is much closer to Montbazon.

Our guide, Roxane, was excellent and made the tours so enjoyable. We really loved both chateaus especially Chateau de Villandry. The wine tasting at Chateau Gaudrelle was fun and the wine was quite good but it was at the end of a long day.

While visually breathtaking there is not much to see at the Abbey and it can be very crowded. Long way to travel for one day.
