Hotel Apollinaire in Nice was very nice. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was included and was impressive. Hans and Susan and the kids had adjoining rooms. There was some breakfast confusion on the first morning, but we texted KimKim and things were straightened out right away. Hotel approx. 5 stars

Hotel Citadines Trocadero: good location*, good rooms for family group, reasonable kitchen, rather odd bathroom with tiny shower. Toilet in separate room and bathtub were okay. The staff were minimally helpful. There is a large, locked closet in the lobby to hold luggage. A self-serve laundry is onsite. The laundry app works well until you have problems or questions; then, nobody can help you. The dryer didn’t dry very well. We did not have breakfast there. It seemed to be a continental breakfast.

Antibes and Cannes. (It was interesting having a tour to these cities because we had gone past them on the train.) We met our driver / guide in the same place, along with two Russian women. Sebastian (Seb) was our guide again. It was very hot and we spent more time in the van with commentary than walking about, which worked well. We enjoyed this tour more than the previous one. 5 stars for Seb

We walked to meet our driver / guide Sebastian for a Monaco, Monte Carlo, Eze morning excursion. (Not sure why it is advertised this way, since you go to Eze first, then Monaco and Monte Carlo.) Seb was surprised that he had more people booked for the van than usual, but it was summer high season. He told us about history of the area and current celebrities who lived there. We had stops to see the views. It was very hot that day and the many steps in old Eze were a bit much. We arrived in Monaco in time for the changing of the guard, which is very hard to see when there is a crowd. Our family left the group at this point, since the children couldn’t go inside the casino, and we were interested in seeing the Oceanographic Museum. Unfortunately, the museum was very hot and crowded. However, Elizabeth wants to be a scientist and created her own project of taking photos and viewing the exhibits. Tour: 4 stars, museum: 3 stars Since we didn’t continue with the tour, we had to make our own way back to Nice. I had a Rick Steeves map and pocket guide which were somewhat helpful. The bus to the train station is no longer free and it was a rather long, uncomfortable ride. We managed to figure out the train and get through the crowds and back to Nice.

Disneyland Paris. Susan had planned this in great detail and KimKim helped with appropriate tickets, transportation, etc. This was a 5-star family experience.

Private Louvre Visit geared to a family with children. Our guide, Sara, knew the museum well, had a scavenger hunt-focused booklet for the kids to use, and did a great job with the whole family. The kids were very engaged in this activity. 5+ stars for Sara.

We went to Notre Dame early and did a self-guided tour before meeting our guide, Ed. He told us history of the cathedral and the area, showed us the Ile de la Cite, Latin Quarter, the Seine, Sainte-Chapelle. 5 stars

The final activity for the day was an Eiffel Tower summit at sunset. Our hotel wasn’t far from the tower and we walked. It took a little effort to find the meeting point. The guide for this event was more of a shepherd. He made sure everyone got tickets, got in line, knew about the security check, understood how and where to go in the tower. Everything went very well, despite some misgivings about being “way up in the air.” The views were spectacular. A 5- star experience.

Our guide was Arina (originally from Brazil). She had a good mix of places for us to visit and things to taste. We enjoyed this part of the tour very much and give Arina 5 stars.

Versailles, half-day tour of palace and gardens. We enjoyed seeing the palace and would have liked time to actually see the gardens. This was the part of the trip we enjoyed least. The heatwave didn’t help matters. Versailles is some distance from town. We tried hard to figure out walking, Metro, bus, etc. The only simple way to get there and to get back for an afternoon activity is by Uber. The process for sorting out groups of tourists and guides is rather disorganized. This was the first time we ever used the headphones / earbuds and device to hear the tour guide. It seems to be the most reasonable way of having multiple guides and groups of people to communicate with. However, we weren’t very happy with our guide (Leonor) or the tour. We arrived on time for a tour time which was an hour later. It was rather hard to stay with the group with so many other people there. We didn’t find the commentary very informative. After several hours, we were shown the gardens outside (through a window) and told that we had tickets to the gardens but that part of the tour was on our own. In retrospect, we think this should actually be marketed as a day-long tour with a guide in the morning and on your own in the afternoon, with the expectation of eating at the palace. There is a nice restaurant which was very crowded, a café with good food but very little seating space, and a small snack shop we noticed on our way out. Also, bathrooms are very hard to find once you are outside. Versailles 4 stars, guide maybe 3.

Our guide was very knowledgable. Look forward to going back when renovations are complete.

Loved the location of this hotel! Right in the midst of Covent Garden.

Only one of the two elevators worked during our 4 day stay. Complimentary coffee was only offered the first day. Great location, amongst lots of different restaurants. Sure nice to have a washer and dryer to use.

The rooms were well appointed and just funky enough to know you were in an old Natural History Museum. Wish it were closer to the downtown area where most of the restaurants were.

Beautiful little hotel on a side street in the heart of Bordeaux! Very welcoming, AC room, with an amazing breakfast buffet. Perfectly located for day trips close by. The reception desk was very helpful even calling ahead for us for reservations. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location and decor was awesome. The building is a little cramped at the reception/breakfast area but the room has a decent size and a mini kitchen.

Location is good, and it has a pool. But the rooms are horrendous, ac didn’t work properly and it doesn’t even have a mini fridge. There’s no room service or vending machine so you always have to buy water and snacks outside, even though you have no place to keep it in you room!

As simple as it can be. Staff doesn’t speak English and there’s nobody there during the night.

Nice converted old chateau. The reception staff was very good and helpful. The restaurant was OK for breakfast but would not recommend it for dinner.

Typical U.S. style basic modern hotel. We wanted to make sure we had A/C, though it was not necessarily needed.

Chef Marthe was a wonderful teacher. We leaned many insightful tips and left with her book to try more recipes at home!

Antoine was fun and knowledgeable!

Ally was super! She knew so much about food, wine and the local history. We also really enjoyed her and appreciate being taken to local places we would never have found on our own.

Our guide,Julien, was great! He showed us all around the Alpilles in the area of Provence. He was very knowledgeable.

This is smaller hotel, more private and intimate. In a wonderful location in Latin Quarter, easy to find food and shopping. Staff was wonderful and friendly, but also helpful with anything we needed. Had a hair drier that failed and immediately replaced. Room cleaned in timely fashion. Did not have rooms that connected and had only 1 bed rooms but they accommodated us well.

Great location in the City, amazing breakfast which was included, and staff very friendly. Food choices were wonderful in the hotel, and atmosphere was amazing.

Fun bus tour with Peppa pig video at table with tea, snacks. Got to see many places in London.

Tickets that get you to all the levels of the Eiffel Tower. Waiting was very minimal with these tickets.

Walking tour of Paris with chocolate tasting stops. Must do for chocolate lovers.

Fascinating place with so much history. Has free audio tour. Pack and tickets were sold out the day we went, so get them early.

Must do in London activity. Very straight forward. Beautiful views.

One of my favorite Family actives. Our Tour Guide Sebastian was wonderful, can tell he is very experienced. Kids were engaged the whole time. Highly recommend if wanting to do the Lourve with kids. Otherwise it is a mess of a place to go through without help.

The main river cruise that is next to Eiffel Tower. Ride when you want, runs every hour to half hour. It is 1 hour long but goes quick, nice view of city from the cruise.

Have been to all the Disneyland parks in America, so wanted to try this out. It is Magic Kingdom parks but Paris style. So much fun as always with Disney. Food was amazing, having French food. Rides are similar but unique in their own ways. Lines are similar to any Disney park. Stayed for fireworks show at night and had a blast

Tower of London and the Royal Family Jewels. So much history, it was fascinating to see it all. Lines were not a problem.

Beautiful hotel with a view of the Eiffel tower. It is a great central location that made getting around the city easy. Also, they had AC which was a god send during the heat wave.

Antibes was absolutely incredible. Unfortunately, we really didn't have much time to see Cannes.

Such a beautiful way to end our trip.

This was probably the coolest experience we had. It was so much fun going to the market picking out our food and then cooking it together with one of the best views in Nice.

A great way to see old Nice. The food was awesome.

Snorkeling in the french riviera was a dream. We saw a bunch of fish and a few jelly fish but just being there and relaxing in one of the most beautiful parts of nice was awesome.

We enjoyed the experience of walking around with RT our guide. She was knowledgeable and made walking around the city fun and interesting. It was a looooot of chocolate that ended up going to waste a little bit because we were so full by the end.

Loved every part of this tour. Learning of the cheese making process from early to current times was tremendously educational.

Personally recommended by Liz and we get the hype! It's quaint, the host is personable, it's the perfect place to get an authentic taste of Provencal life. Dinners were lovely, the pool was a welcome break after our morning activities, and the team is so kind. A couple of things to note-we felt that our stay was uncomfortable due to the heat and mosquitoes. Our room on the top floor stayed warm throughout our stay and we were hesitant to open our window for better ventilation as there are lots of mosquitoes outside. We did mention this to the host, but nothing was done to address it, so we just adjusted for our 3-night stay. At other times of the year we can see how this would be the perfect stay, but during the summer it's a little tough. We also felt some of the pricing wasn't the most transparent. Although there is a sign by the front desk outlining cost of dinners, snacks, wine, etc., we noticed that when we requested a glass of wine during meals, we were poured very large pours that ultimately cost us the entire bottle (even if we weren't interested in this much). Just small things that gave us pause.

This was our favorite hotel. Amazing service (everyone was so kind and helpful with anything we could possibly need); they even upgraded us to a suite on their top floor when we returned on our last night. The location is fantastic, beds are very comfy, lovely bathrooms, great breakfast, GREAT A/C. Cannot say enough good things. This is where we will stay when we return to Paris.

An enjoyable afternoon, our guide was very knowledgeable, we went to two wineries.

This was our favorite activity of the trip. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, kind enough to alter our plan for the day to work around the rough afternoon heat without us prompting him, and he noticed we enjoyed shopping at the small villages and took us to another for our last stop! He even offered to drop us off directly at our accommodation at the end of the day, rather than at the Tourism office. We really appreciated his thoughtfulness.

this was the day cancelled that we had to figure out things to do. KIMKIM said we would have a driver for 8 hours that did not happen only 4 with no activities planned we had to come up with things. If was our first day so we knew nothing about Paris.

not everyone could participate in the Sagrada tour because the 3-year-old was not allowed. So, 2 people had to stay back but the tour guides did not inform us we were stopped by Sagrada staff Were told by our guide that we did not have transportation from the mosiac park that we would need to find our own so we did not get to go there.

guide did not have microphones for us. You could not hear her. She had no idea it was supposed to be a treasure hunt with 4 kids so she was not prepared. we had to abandon after 90 minutes

The Hotel Alchimy in Albi was nice, and the restaurant there was excellent with very good service. However, the air conditioning in our room was not effective during the heat wave, and we had to request a fan to stay comfortable. Despite this, the staff were very accommodating and tried their best to help.

We stayed at Le Petit Manoir in Sarlat and really loved it. The hotel was lovely, centrally located, and the staff were very accommodating, helping us with dinner reservations and local plans. The pool was a great bonus, and the air conditioning was very effective and refreshing.

No air conditioning, and no hot water. Beautiful and nice people but AC is a must.

The exploration of Beynac-et-Cazenac and the visit to Beynac Castle were very interesting and enjoyable. It was a great addition to our trip and well organized by Amadine.

Visiting Chateau Malandez, Josephine Baker's home, was beautiful and a highlight of our trip. It was a meaningful and well-planned part of our itinerary.

The visit to the Lascaux Caves was very enjoyable. Amandine was very helpful in rescheduling our tickets due to the Tour de France road closures, which made the experience smooth and stress-free.

The kayaking experience with Saporito was excellent. The company was very accommodating, and the app they provided was fantastic, allowing us to know exactly where we were on the river at all times. The whole kayaking trip from town to town was very well organized with car and driver transfers, which made it very enjoyable and stress-free.

This apartment was beautiful and well-suited to our group, in a wonderfully family-friendly location with a park nearby and even a double-decker carousel at the base of the hill. Easy access to public transportation and plenty of amenities, yet secluded and private feeling with very little city noise.

This villa was stunning — immaculate landscaping, a spacious and well-kept interior, and hands-down the nicest private pool I've ever seen. We spent hours in it every day, which was a lifesaver during the heatwave. The location was ideal, close to charming villages, all the essentials (supermarket, boulangeries, pharmacies), and our planned activities. Karine, the villa manager, was excellent — responsive, warm, and easy to work with.

We did a private walking tour of Marseille with our guide Severine, who was wonderful. She had lived in Marseille for many years and gave us a nuanced and engaging tour of the city. I came in knowing very little about Marseille and left wanting to come back. The guide was knowledgeable and made the experience very enjoyable for all ages.

We had planned a semi-private Calanques Cruise in Marseille, but unfortunately, due to a miscommunication about the departure time, we missed the boat after driving an hour to get there. It was disappointing, but Audrey from KimKim was amazing and quickly rebooked us on a larger tour cruise within the hour, so we still got to enjoy the experience that morning. Despite the hiccup, the solution was handled very well.

The Treasure Hunt in the Louvre Museum was a highlight for our family. It was engaging and fun, especially for the kids, and the guide was excellent at keeping everyone interested and involved. It was a unique way to explore the museum.

The Montmartre Family Tour in Paris was fantastic. Due to the heat, we decided to leave the kids at the apartments with my mother-in-law. Our guide was very flexible and adapted the tour on the fly when she realized it was just adults, giving us a more local and in-depth experience of Montmartre. She was lovely and knowledgeable, making the tour very enjoyable and personalized.

Chateau Romanin's tasting room is situated high up a hill with stunning views across the valley, making for a beautiful setting for a wine tasting. Our guide for the tour was engaging and knowledgeable about the chateau's history and winemaking program, and the surrounding region. The wines were delicious - we bought a few to bring home and enjoy on the rest of our trip!
