We planned our trip only 2 weeks ahead, and Caroline and the Kimkim team got right on the task and made sure we were satisfied at every stage. She was very easy to work with and — I hesitate to disclose this —she was more than willing to communicate at off hours and on weekends. Ultimately, we were able to book the trip with confidence that we were going to be able to stay where we wanted and follow an itinerary that suited our traveling style. “Modern” rooms in newer wing comfortable and quiet with balcony looking into quiet yard. junior suite was a little small than suggested by “suite” but modern comforts like a/c and stall shower made up for it. Quiet section of hotel, too. Overall very convenient location to train and middle of town but not in the thick of it. Breakfast buffet was the low point of the hotel. — plenty of selection but very middle range quality. You could also a l carte things like hot egg dishes but this was only after we asked. They make no effort to let you know.

E bikes seemed good quality and were really easy to operate. Guide was super approachable and informed. Scenery spectacular. The visit to trummelbach definitely made the tour more special.

We used Kim Kim to plan our trip to Switzerland (Montreux, Bern, Interlaken, Lucerne, and Zurich) and couldn’t have asked for better support. Our planners, Karol and Kamilla, were very responsive before we left, helped us sort out logistics along the way, and checked in even after we got home. Everything felt well thought out, and it was a relief to have someone we could reach out to at any point in the trip. Highly recommend if you want a stress-free, well-organized international trip.

Caroline was highly responsive and gave us outstanding service leading up to trip and helped with a couple issues that popped up while we were traveling. Her suggestions for activities were on target for us and the logistics were spot on especially use of Swiss trains. All our accommodations met our needs except our hotel in Grindelwald. Unfortunately it was too late to make a change once we let her know. We would use her again if we come back to the region.

We had the absolute best experience working with Caroline to plan our honeymoon in Switzerland! She went above and beyond from start to finish to make sure every detail of our trip was perfect. We really enjoyed this experience. I wasn’t too sure about it when it was booked but I am so so glad we ended up doing it. I’m not the biggest fan of fondue but this fondue was very good but the experience is what made it so memorable! The gondola was such a cozy vibe and the view of the mountains was beautiful. We got lucky and it rained when we were there so it was even cozier!

This was an incredible experience seeing the Matterhorn in person! We took the train up and sat on the right side to get the best views! Once we got up to the top we took the train a stop down to get to the reflecting lake which was incredible. From there we hiked all the way back down to Zermatt.

This was probably our favorite day! Unfortunately we weren’t able to do any of the activities because the lines were just so long but we hiked to Bachalpsee lake which was the most incredible hike I’ve ever been on. It was just absolutely stunning and truly felt like you were in the sound of music.

Our trip was amazing. Switzerland was beautiful. I'm so happy that all of the travel connections went so smoothly. The bike trip around Lake Constance was perfect. It was hot but we got to cooldown with dips in the Lake. Joel was always very responsive with answering questions. He gets 5 stars.
Nathalie was inconsiderate of our needs and was condescending. There were a couple of glitches in scheduling. I realize that we started with another specialist and then Nathalie took over but apparently she didn't read the previous emails. We had requested a massage after the bike ride. A spa package was booked but it didn't include a massage. They didn't have anyone available to even add it on. This was a specific request that was ignored. It was disappointing to get to this beautiful spa expecting a service that we didn't get. Next was the issue with the farm tour in Interlaken. A cheese tour was included. Nathalie came back and said it was unavailable after the trip was booked. She said she would substitute the farm tour at no additional charge. I had told her to go ahead with it. She was on vacation and Joel or someone else, not sure, responded and said they could book it for additional charge. I went ahead and paid because I forgot that Nathalie said it would be upgraded at no additional charge. I asked Nathalie about the refund but got no where with her. In addition, the farm tour wasn't what was advertised. There was no woodscraftman or chocolate sampling.

Another fantastic recommendation from Clemens and the team! We absolutely loved this hotel and would happily stay here again. It was incredibly family-friendly, and our kids had a blast. The pool was a huge hit, and the arcade machine in the room was such a fun and unexpected touch. The bunk beds were another favorite—they made the stay extra special for our kids. The rooms were spacious and worked perfectly for our family of four. The views were absolutely stunning, and Wengen itself is such a charming town. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home throughout our stay. The only minor drawback was that there isn't air conditioning, so it was a bit warm during our summer visit. Fortunately, the hotel provided fans, which helped make it somewhat comfortable. Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and we'd love to come back in the winter to experience Wengen in a completely different season!

The Lubo Self- Check-in

This is a modern apartment-style stay where everything—from check-in to guest services—is handled online, so there isn't a traditional front desk. I was a little hesitant about that at first, but it ended up being an awesome experience. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of everything—and the restaurant/bar downstairs was a huge bonus. We enjoyed several great breakfasts and excellent coffee there, and it quickly became one of the highlights of our trip. The property has a fun, hip, and modern vibe with lots of character, which made it feel unique compared to a standard hotel. The only downside was that the A/C struggled a bit during the extreme heat we experienced, but it wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise excellent stay. A special shoutout to Clemens and the team—they absolutely knocked it out of the park with this recommendation!

This was a fantastic tour and a great way to experience Zurich beyond the modern city center. It introduced us to the historic parts of the city and helped us appreciate Zurich's rich history in a way we definitely would have missed on our own. Without this tour, I think our impression of Zurich would have been that it was just another modern city. Instead, we came away with a much deeper understanding of the city's character, its history, and even Swiss culture as a whole. One of the best parts of the experience was having a knowledgeable local guide. It was wonderful to be able to ask questions about what it's really like to live in Zurich and Switzerland. Lucerne to Wengen via Interlaken + Luggage Service

This was an amazing travel day, and everything was perfectly arranged by Clemens and the team. The train ride was smooth, scenic, and one of the highlights of our trip. The luggage transfer service was absolutely worth it. It was so nice to relax on the train without having to worry about hauling our suitcases from place to place. We traveled with just two small backpacks, and our luggage was waiting for us when we arrived at our destination. It made the entire journey so much more enjoyable. She listened to our requests and helped us customize an amazing experience for our family that took into account our unique requests and included many of the beautiful highlights in Switzerland. She helped us get all of the hotel and tickets that we needed and explained clearly how we would use them. When we decided we wanted to depart from Milan, she helped us make that happen too. She was flexible and easy to get in touch with, even during our trip when we had questions. Everything went so smoothly! Overall it was a wonderful trip. Thank you Caroline!

Clothilde was extremely helpful and responsive with the overall planning and with every detail. Our original ideas to visit Evian and Montreux for golf and jazz were made even better with the KimKim team presenting options for personalized tours which exceeded our expectations. The additional experiences included a private cheese and wine tasting with a Sommelier in Annecy (Jennifer), a private pontoon boat tour on Lake Annecy with Fondue (Gael), a private tour of the old town (Aude) a private tour of the Patek Phillipe Museum in Geneva (with Siggy), and a private tour of artisanal cheese making in Gruyere, a chocolate factory tour, and a driving tour around Montreux that included wine tasting in the UNESCO World Heritage site (with Emmanuel). The guides were impeccable in their knowledge and getting to know us to help personalize the tours. We especially want to single out Aude for her knowledge of Annecy and the ability to simplify the complex history of the area, and Emmanuel, who made us feel like friends from the moment we met, and who altered the tour in real time based on our interests. All of the drivers were on time and easily contacted for any time changes we requested. We are looking forward to planning our next adventure with KimKim. We will refer our friends to KimKim to develop itineraries to exactly match their desires.

Our trip was absolutely wonderful. Valentine did an amazing job helping us organize our travel plans. We had peace of mind that our transportation was taken care of to and from the various sites we visited. She took extra measure to accommodate a variety of ages within our group. 100% recommend kimkim and Valentine when planning your next vacation.

We had a wonderful vacation! Caroline was very patient and helpful while planning. She was available all through the trip for questions and followed through immediately with a response. In one instance, Caroline went out of her way to help even though she had personal commitments. Her help was truly appreciated.
Some of the highlights was a hike in the Chamonix area, the bike ride in Lauterbrunnen and Junfraujoch. The views and experiences we had will stay with us for a long time.
The only feedback we have is, while traveling in Switzerland is very easy on the country’s public transportation, in some cities, it was quite a few changes of modes of transport. The notes/daily itinerary was a little confusing.
Aside from that, we had a memorable holiday in a beautiful country.

We appreciated that KimKim booked our train tickets, half-fare Swiss Passes, and hotels, and suggested excellent places to visit: Lucerne, Mt. Pilatus, Interlaken, Jungfrau, Geneva, Zermatt, Zurich, the Matterhorn, a farm and cheese tour in Lucerne (exceptional), a tour to a gorge and waterfall from Interlaken, and a tour to Rhine Falls & Stein am Rhein from Zurich.
We did have a couple of problems, though. Unfortunately, we missed our train after we landed at the airport from New York to Zurich because our flight had been delayed. We should have had a flexible train ticket, so that we could have taken any train, but instead had a ticket that was for a specific one. We ended up having to buy train tickets ourselves, even though we had already paid for the ones that had been booked for us.
In addition, the tour that we were booked on to visit Gruyere ended up being very unpleasant because the description of the tour that was presented to us and the actual tour were very different. I don't think much care was taken for our comfort or expectations in that instance. For those reasons, I can only give a so-so rating for the planning of our trip.

It was a high rise, right across from a big meadow where para-gliders land. We had a terrace where we could sit and enjoy watching them coming from high up and land softly in the meadow. We also had a beautiful view of Jungfrau from the terrace.

We enjoyed the tours of the chocolate and cheese factories, but the village of Gruyere is very touristy. There's castle worth visiting, but the rest of the village is restaurants and tourist shops.

Effortless Switzerland

Overall the trip was exceedingly well planned and the hotel accommodations and in-country travel were excellent. The van drivers were all very helpful, punctual and patient, even when we were delayed getting into the country upon arrival. We loved our hotels and they were ideally located with great services. The tours that were booked provided the right level of engagement and relaxation. I would also like to call out Grizzy the guide who accompanied us on our hiking trip to Lauterbrunnen. She was an exceptional guide in that we had two very different goals. Part of our group wanted a very easy stroll why my sons wanted to do more strenuous hiking. She was able to satisfy both our needs with ease. She was very knowledgeable but not overbearing and provided information far beyond what we needed for the day. She's a treasure!

The other pleasant surprise was the "Fondue in a Backpack". I had moderate expectations for this and thought the whole idea to be a bit trite. However, it turned out to be one of the memorable events as we had very good fondue along the shores of Lake Thunersee on a beautiful summer day in Interlaken.

This was the first time my family traveled with a child (one-year old) but the quality of the accommodations and the thoroughness in transportation planning made it very stress free. I would recommend Kimkim to my friends because of the in-country support you have while traveling and the local insight our travel agents provided while we planned the trip.

Our time in Switzerland was fantastic! We loved that everything was planned out for us so we could enjoy ever minute while we were there. The app was easy to use and we loved the detailed notes for each day. Especially directions to the hotels from the train stations, and other transportation notes. The accommodations were great (didn't love Hotel Derby in Montreux, but Eden Palace and Waldstatterhof were fantastic). The activities that were planned were great. We LOVED our private e-bike tour with Hannas in Lauterbrunnen! Definitely the highlight of our week. And of course, Mt. Pilatus was absolutely stunning!

Working with Valentine was great! She responded in a timely manner whenever we had questions and was a pleasure to work with. I will definitely be recommending kimkim to others. Thanks for planning a memorable trip in Switzerland!

This hotel is beautiful, but the only downside it that it doesn't have air conditioning. That may be fine normally, but we happen to be there during a heat wave. I was very thankful that the staff found a second fan for the room that did help a little. Great breakfast!

Waterfalls Adventure tour: Guided E-bike tour

This was our favorite tour of our trip! The Lauterbrunnen valley was stunning! Our private guide, Hannas, was amazing and fun. He stopped every so often to tell us about the waterfalls, or capture photos in just the right spot. Lunch was great and the location was perfect. We would highly recommend this tour.

We enjoyed trying new wine varietals at this winery. However, the photos and description of this tour are a bit misleading. The photos show a patio with the view of the lake, however, the tasting room is built into the hillside and indoors. There were no views of the terraced vineyards or lake. I actually thought that we were at the wrong place because it wasn't anything like it was described on the app. There was no tour of cellars or explanation of the wine making process.

My husband and I just returned from Switzerland after spending 8 days there with a trip planned by KimKim. KimKim made the experience stress free as I didn't have to plan anything. We provided our interests and KimKim did the rest. With our busy schedules, it was nice to have KimKim do the heavy lifting.

We were impressed by their accommodation selections and recommendations for where we should travel in Switzerland. For example, we hadn't considered Montreaux, but were so happy we got to spend time there. The contrast of the Swiss German side to the Swiss French side of Switzerland was a fun way to see Switzerland. KimKim made the experience so easy with our vouchers for everything and the service providers were clearly vetted. We can not recommend KimKim enough for those that are looking for ease when planning a trip as you'll have the perfect balance of individual exploration time and planned activities.

The view from our room of Lake Geneva was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel was centrally located to the train station and bus station, for ease. We found Montreaux very walkable with a number of fun restaurants. The hotel buffet could have been a bit stronger (quality wise), but I think we had high standards after our stay in Geneva and Zermatt. We opted for a local coffee shop and keep our buffet selection pretty basic each morning as a result. We enjoyed the hotel's location to the Fairmont for delicious evening meals (with a view!).

We liked the size of this hotel and the location of this hotel. We liked being far away from town as it was peaceful at night with the windows option and the centralized location to trails for hiking. The morning view of the Matterhorn was amazing. Additionally, the spa room with the sauna was heavenly.

While we felt this hotel was amazing, travelers might find it far away from town. The electric shuttle is only offered to/from the train station when you arrive and leave. You otherwise need to walk everywhere in Zermatt which is roughly 20 minutes to/from town. That wasn't an issue for us and the view was 10/10, but I wanted to mention it. There is a bus you can take, but we opted to walk.

The Chocolate Train

The quality of coffee could have been a bit better on the train ride in the morning, but aside from that, we were impressed by the train ride. We were initially worried it may be a bit toursity, but we embraced it. The cheese and chocolate factory tour were very informative. Seeing the countryside from the train was also fun. It was a great way to remain cool during the European heatwave and we learned a lot.

Easy and so convenient at every location. Mathilde made sure we had easy access to the train locations. Once we figured it out it was definitely the way to travel around. Clothilde was great to work with. Loved the hotels she picked - good locations and very nice. Emanuel did our Montreaux day long private tour. It was great. He added a small, mountain cheese making tour that was the the best. Drivers at airport, from Grimmelwald to Glacier Express was great. I think his name was Kara. Loved our ebike tour with George. The trains and transportation up the mountains was very easy to follow. We also had to cancel and reschedule this trip twice due to a health problem by one of our trip members. We appreciate KimKim working with us to reschedule the trip.
