I planned a mother daughter trip to Switzerland, Italy, and Greece with the help of my KimKim specialist, Amandine. This was my 2nd trip through KimKim. I requested safe, mid- luxury hotels, 3 modes of transportation, and safe, confirmed activities/excursions. It was amazing! First, my hotel accommodations were all located in safe places, had A/C, and were absolutely mid- luxury. What a treat to be pleasantly surprised every few days as we traveled through 3 countries. In addition, Amandine arranged for train passes and for particular high volume travel- she even booked seat reservations. What a relief to see my name on a reserved car waiting for us outside the train station to take us to our hotel in Milan, Italy, a highly traveled location with limited taxi availability.
Kimkim was also able to help us with some flight connections across European countries. Finally, let me tell you that booking with Kimkim is worth its weight in gold for booking activities: excursions. We enjoyed a boat ride in Lake Como, Italy and a sailboat sunset cruise in Greece. The boat operators were professionals. No need to be concerned for your safety or if you would receive high quality tour explanations and service. It’s horrible to travel somewhere new and realize that your booked excursion is the less desirable one when you get there. Kimkim has connections with the best and safest excursion companies! I’m already planning my husband’s retirement trip, and, of course, it will be booked through Kimkim.

Trip was tremendous. Everything worked out perfectly. All the guides selected were great. The only changes I would make next visit to Switzerland would have been to limit the stay to Lauterbrunnen Valley and Zermatt. I'm glad we visited the cities as well but we much more enjoyed the countryside and mountains. Also, i would suggest Gornergrat over Glacier Paradise in Zermatt with regards to excursions.

The private boat tour on Lake Como was an absolute delight. The driver was friendly, and the three-hour tour was just the right amount of time to appreciate the beautiful lake. However, we did experience some challenges with the ferry services being sold out, which made visiting Bellagio a bit of a hassle. The town was more crowded than we expected.

This was our first time using KimKim, but it won’t be our last. Thomas was excellent and was in top of everything throughout our trip. And the app he sent us was excellent. It even worked offline for all of our hikes through the mountains.

The Swiss pass is very helpful too were able to see the olympic museum , Jesuit church, the oldest library and many more. We love nature so Switzerland was perfect. My mother, sister and I reached out to Kimkim late summer 2022 for help with planning a trip to the Alsace region of France. I knew I wanted to fly into Zurich and that we had 2 weeks. Valentine reached out to us and put together some iternaries. We choose to spend 4 nights in Colmar France, 4 nights in Interlaken Switzerland and 4 nights in Lucerne Switzerland. There were different tours planned throughout but mostly in France. Then Valentine quit the company and Nathalie joined as our guide. My main criticism was before we left we were sent a lot of information that was a bit unorganized. There were 6 different individual guides and then our vouchers. It would've been much easier on us had it all been streamlined into the Roadbook as we could've referenced day by day as we have had with other tours through kimkim. Keeping the vouchers separate was helpful. Previous tours had included public parking garages that were centrally located, knowing we were driving. Things to stop and see as well as scenic drives would've been a welcome addition. More information and ideas on Lucerne would have been nice.

Tours:
Walking tour of Colmar was fine. It wasn't the best way for us to start our trip because we wanted to explore all the shops and things that caught our fancy. She was trying to inform us of the history of the town and moving us onto museums and we weren't wanting that at that time.

We loved our tours with Alsace Safari, especially the Munster Valley tour. Anna and Eric were very friendly and informative guides. Highly recommend!

Our guided bike ride with Louie was great, even while raining. Highly recommend!
There was unnecessary repetition with these tours. They could have been coordinated better. We visited Eguisheim twice when we could have spent our time visiting another village.
Our walking tour of Strasbourg was on a cold and wet day so 3 hours was already going to be too long to stand outside listening to someone talk but to make it over 4 hours was too much. Our guide was very passionate and informed but long-winded.
Kayaking with Ben in Interlaken was very enjoyable. He was very patient and a wealth of knowledge. Couldn't have been better. Highly recommend!
Our day at the Burgenstock Spa and Resort was unbeatable! What a treat! From the boat ride across the lake to the funicular ride to the top, let alone the spa! It would have been easier if we were told where to meet the boat and the times it left to plan our stay. Highly recommend!

Stays:
Hotel Adler Zurich were able to let us in our room early, which was great as we got into Zurich in the early morning. Breakfast the next day was very good.
The Serenity Colmar apartments were beautiful! Great location and the apartment couldn't have been nicer! The owners were great and very helpful. With driving, it would have been helpful to have a clearer meeting point but otherwise outstanding. Highly recommend!
Aparthotel Goldey in Interlaken- can't beat the location and the views!! The apartment was a bit tired but very clean. Owners were available to ask questions and help with issues. (Mom’s bathroom experienced ceiling water leaks when the tenants above showered without closing their shower door.  Owners dried things up once notified and gave us a bottle of wine for the 2 days of inconvenience.)
Appartements Hofquartier were clean and well-located. The owners were very helpful with issues that arose.

We had a great trip, all feedback is just to clear up some organizational issues and questions we had along the way.

Planning and booking our trip on kimkim was seamless. I had never used, or even heard of the platform before, but I will forever now use kimkim when planning our vacations. Our Switzerland expert, Valentine, was amazing and put together the perfect trip for my mother and me. Valentine was thoughtful to tailoring our trip to our needs and was always responsive to my many questions. :) In addition, the final itinerary we received was extremely organized which made things very easy once we got to Switzerland. I would highly recommend Valentine and kimkim to anyone that is looking to travel abroad, and specifically, to Switzerland.

Hello- The sightseeing plan and accommodations arranged by Kim-Kim were done well. I gave four stars instead of five as I felt there were three events where we needed more insight to aid in our planning. First, May 1 was a holiday in Zurich so museums were closed. We did have a wonderful walking tour that morning but had limited options in the afternoon. Had we known this was a holiday we may have chosen to go to Lucerne first. Second, the mini cruise would have been better if we had known in advance to download the app so we could listen to a tour guide while taking our cruise. Lastly, the Top of Europe was wonderful but extremely crowded. Once there we saw that some guests had “Priority Boarding” and they were able skip the long line. We would have liked to have known about this option prior to our trip as we may have taken advantage of it.

Our tour guide (Albert) was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed him very much. We want to also acknowledge the excellent staff at our hotel in Lucerne (Hotel Restock). They were extremely friendly and helpful.

Interlaken and Zermatt were absolutely memorable! We loved all the Christmas markets as well which was incorporated into the visit. Basel Christmas market was especially amazing!
