Your professional guide will help you get acquainted with riding a segway, and after a safety briefing and quick test run, you'll feel more confident in your training. Once you get the hang of it, you'll ride a Genuine i2 Segway, a safe model that is reasonably easy to use. All skill levels can enjoy this tour, even if you've never used a segway before! Your guides help you learn all the basics and enjoy your time in the city.
When ready, you'll follow your guide through the historic streets of Madrid, stopping to admire the must-sees in the city. Along the way, learn about the Spanish capital's history and culture with unique facts, anecdotes, and stories. Your starting point is one of the most historic areas of Madrid, the Villa de los Austria. Here is where you'll find remnants of the Habsburg dynasty and some of the city's oldest sites, including the medieval Plaza Mayor and the delicious San Miguel Market.
Continue through Las Letras, the Literary Quarter, where you'll cruise down beloved streets lined with shops and historic tapas bars. Two favorites include Huertas Street and Cervantes Street. Soon, you'll reach the buzzy Paseo del Prado, a UNESCO Cultural Heritage of Humanity Site. From here, navigate your way to Reitro Park, considered one of the city's "green lungs," as its home to hundreds of species of flora and fauna. With smooth pathways, you can easily maneuver your segway through the park and to the Crystal Palace.
On the way back to your starting point, pass through the central Puerta del Sol, where locals and tourists congregate. Finally, admire the gorgeous Royal Palace and Almudena Cathedral and end your tour in Plaza de Oriente.
