What you'll do
Get ready to get your steps in and experience Madrid's expansive food, drink, and social scene after dark alongside a passionate guide eager to share local haunts that offer some of the best eats. They'll pick you up (on foot) from your hotel for a walk through the capital's lively streets, gaining an insight into how Madrileños live, socialize, and, most importantly, dine. Your guide will answer questions, recount historical stories, and introduce you to the city's diverse cuisine.
Expect to visit around five eateries, from taverns steeped in history to contemporary gastrobars and cherished restaurants serving family recipes. At each stop, you'll sample a wide selection of local dishes, where your guide will help you identify and appreciate the nuances between each, from tapas, pintxos (Basque version of tapas), platos (main dish of a course), platillos (small plate), and raciones (portions), so you can order confidently during the rest of your Spain trip.

You'll only cover about 4.4 miles (7 km) of ground, but with a minimum of 19 stops, two of which are food-related, this route can take 3-5 hours, so be sure to don comfortable footwear and clothing.
