What you'll do

After meeting your guide and a short introduction, you'll start with a walk along the stunning Larios Street, a pedestrian road in Málaga known to the locals as "the living room." Next, if you want to see Atarazanas, the city's primary market, opt for a morning tour Monday to Saturday, as it's closed on Sundays, holidays, and after 3:00 pm. The market is an excellent place to dive into the region's local life and culture.

Continue your tour by walking through Bishop’s Square and along Calle Compañía and Calle San Juan, where more pedestrian streets await, plus stunning churches and historical buildings. One highlight is the Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga, a national landmark and Renaissance jewel built in 1528, though not completed until 1780. Discover why the locals call the building "Manquita" and its connection to the American Revolution.

Your next stop is the city's archeological section, where you'll find the Teatro Romano de Málaga and the medieval Moorish Alcazaba. Lastly, walk through the neighborhood where Pablo Picasso was born and learn how the city influenced the artist's works.

Tips for future travelers

Make sure you know what the tour is going to include in case you end up seeing things on your own. Better yet, do this tour as soon as you get there to help you get your bearings of the city.

Quality of Experience
The only reason this isn't 5 stars was that the tour said it was 2 hours and it was closer to 4. Also, it would be awesome if there would have been details on where the tour was going to take us so we wouldn't have already visited the site. We almost visited the Alcazar the night before but were so lucky we hadn't since this was part of the tour.
Guides, Drivers and Staff
Gloria was fun and so excited about the information she shared.
