What you'll do

If you want to experience truly authentic flamenco and tapas, Andalusia is the place to do it. This famous dance style and the cultural tradition of light dishes shared among friends both originated in southern Spain. To get the most out of the excursion, a private guide will center your time in either the Santa Cruz neighborhood within the city's historic Jewish Quarter or across the Guadalquivir River in Triana, a district known for flamenco theaters.

You'll start with a walk through the historic neighborhood of your guide's choice, learning about the city's long, diverse, and complex history. You'll view monuments and architecture established by various cultures over the centuries, such as the Romans, Christians, Muslims, and Roma. Your stroll will end at a family-owned tavern, where you'll enjoy a round of tapas and a couple of drinks. Your host will recommend dishes and Spanish wine varietals if you wish to share a genuine tapas experience.

After your first snack, head to an authentic flamenco theater, where you'll enjoy a performance. Your guide will help you understand how this dance style combines vocals, stomping, clapping, dancing, and music to craft a genuinely emotional experience. Learn about the traditions, expressions, hand and wrist movement, and clothing behind the dance, and enjoy the one-hour-long show!

Next, discuss the performance with your guide over more tapas and drinks at a different tavern owned and operated by a family. While you chat and snack, you'll also learn about the history of tapas and how to pair wine with the most traditional dishes, which will help you on your remaining days in the country. To end the night in true Spanish style, you'll visit one last tavern for a final round of tapas and one more drink.

In total, you'll visit three eateries end enjoy three tapas and four beverages. And all in all, it's a perfect end to a magical evening in Seville.

We didn't realize it was a city tour with history, tapas and flamenco, which ended up being wonderful, but our expectations were a little off.

The dancing and music were incredible but the Flamenco venue was dirty and not well maintained. The tapas experience was interesting as we were able to eat like the locals.

I was hesitant about this because it was 4 hours long but it didn’t feel like 4 hours. We enjoyed the seeing the flamenco dancing followed with visiting 3 tapas bars. Our guide was fantastic. She knew where the good tapas bars were and more importantly what to order for us to eat. It was one of our best dining experiences for amazing variety of tapas.
