Overview

Discover the beauty of the Amalfi Coast with an easy hike to waterfalls and scenic landscapes. You’ll trek to the Mills Valley, walking on the coastline while learning about the Ancient Republic of Amalfi’s industrial and natural history. Together with an experienced hiking guide, you’ll hike through aromatic lemon groves and pass the small medieval hamlet of Pontone (Scala), the oldest town on the Amalfi Coast.

After about an hour, you’ll reach a junction. Turn right toward a nature reserve and continue along the Canneto River. Here you’ll find a famous oasis with waterfalls and rare plants. On rainy days, you may spot the rare Salamandrina, a fascinating endemic amphibian. Then walk back to the junction and take the downhill path to Amalfi.

Pass the ruins of old paper mills, where inhabitants produced the famous Carta d’Amalfi (paper made in medieval times). After another hour of walking, you’ll arrive at Amalfi’s Paper Museum, where you can learn more about the region’s historic trade. Next, stop to admire the Amalfi Cathedral and its adjacent piazza Flavio Giola

In Amalfi town, enjoy some free time strolling around and admiring the sights before hopping on a boat cruise. Next, you’ll sail to Positano, following one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Italy. Relax in Positano, walking through its picturesque streets, visiting landmarks, and stopping at stunning viewpoints.
