Pros
  • Stay in the buzzy center of the Eixample district and enjoy its distinct architecture, plus lots of lively eateries within walking distance.
  • Guests can easily walk to iconic sites, including Guadí's famous residential buildings on Passeig de Gràcia, just three blocks away.
  • The hotel's lobby features original artwork by Spanish painters, plus each room honors a contemporary artist, such as Miró, Matisse, or Warhol.
  • Enjoy meals, drinks, and light snacks at one of the hotel's many dining areas and bars, including an outdoor terrace surrounding a 100-year-old olive tree.
  • The rooftop pool is a bit small but a good spot to cool off, sip drinks, enjoy the city views, or sunbathe on the terrace.
  • Families and groups might appreciate the triple rooms or suites with sofa beds and more space.
  • Parking is a nice perk when in the city center.
Cons
  • Though the interiors are bright, colorful, and interesting, the exterior facade is plain and doesn't do the hotel justice.
  • Some of the standard rooms are small and simple.

Authenticity

H10 Art Gallery lives up to its name, as the lobby contains original works by Spanish artists like Joan Miró and Miquel Barceló. Additionally, each floor features a famous contemporary artist, including Antoni Tàpies, Francis Bacon, Henri Matisse, and Andy Warhol. You'll find examples of their works in the corridors and rooms, and color schemes, lighting, furniture, and carpeting also vary from floor to floor.

Location

You'll be in the heart of the Eixample district, with its famed flat-cornered architecture and blocky grids. There are endless options for shops, restaurants, bars, and cafés in the vicinity, and the beautiful Passeig de Gràcia is just three blocks away. Casa Milà and Casa Batlló are both around 10 minutes' walking from the hotel, and Plaça de Catalunya, La Rambla, and the start of the Gothic Quarter are all about 20 minutes away. You'll also be close to multiple metro stops, so you can easily get around the city.

Rooms & Bathrooms

Each floor of the hotel pays tribute to a different artist, so rooms have a simple foundation yet bright pops of colors. The standard rooms feel a bit small, so you might prefer upgrading to a room with a terrace for a bit more space. Family rooms have up to three beds or a sofa bed, and suites add a comfy seating area and a whirlpool tub in the bathroom.

Amenities

You'll find a small rooftop pool and a terrace with views, drinks, and snacks. The terrace surrounding the pool comes furnished with hammock-style chairs and umbrellas. There is also a fully equipped gym that’s open all hours of the day, and you can rent bicycles to explore the city. On-site parking is available for a daily cost, and an elevator accesses all floors.

Family-Friendliness

Children of all ages are welcome. Baby cribs are available upon request, and the restaurant offers kid-friendly food. You will also find a selection of board and puzzle games you can borrow at reception. Note that rooms tend to accommodate up to three people, so you may need to book multiple rooms if you are a larger family.

Other Highlights

Eateries and shared spaces include the Modern Art Restaurant, which offers an impressive breakfast buffet each morning, plus the Pop Art Bar with its L'Olivera Terrace extension. This is a great spot for dinner or drinks in the evening, with romantic lighting and fragrant plants. The hotel also has a 24/7 business center equipped with computers and printers.

Wonderful modern hotel, unique with all its art forms, very comfortable room and lovely spacious breakfast area.
Wifi a bit slow and location in Barcelona slightly out of central area but still interesting and vibrant part of Barcelona.

Definitely has an art-filled vibe, but has severe issues with wifi and elevator service so beware.

Authenticity & Character
I don't know that it had a lot of authenticity, but there was an art concept with each floor representing a famous Barcelona artist.
Location
Not a perfect location but not bad either. Near several metros. But you will have to travel by taxi or metro to almost anywhere you want to go with the exception of La Pedrera & Casa Batllo which is in walking distance
Staff
Seemed overworked.
Cleanliness & Comfort
The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable but this is the area where I ding heavily for terrible wifi and elevator service. In this day and age, there is no excuse for having bad wifi.
