Hotel Feliz, Mallorca
Trendy boutique hotel near the buzzy promenade with two pools, a rooftop terrace, and a restaurant
Overview
Kimkim's Take
- The hotel's location is good for those wanting to experience Palma's lively El Terreno neighborhood, or if you're catching an early ferry (the ferry terminal is just a six-minute drive).
- Enjoy the Art Deco-inspired decor in the common areas, including the cushy lounge with its bar, the restaurant with outdoor seating, and the reception area with a small shop selling a few local goods.
- You'll find two pools at the hotel, though both are a little small, plus two terraces, one on the rooftop with excellent views of the city and port.
- The rooms feature colorful, calming decor with comfy beds and many with balconies.
- Depending on your room's direction, you can enjoy views of the port and sea or the hills and castle.
- The breakfast buffet tastes and looks like someone's mom made it, with everything perfectly placed and several homemade treats.
- The 24/7 reception is nice for late arrivals or early departures.
- The restaurant/bar hosts live music several nights of the week, though it ends early enough that it won't disturb your sleep!
- It would be perfect if Hotel Feliz could replicate itself and have a location closer to the historic Old Town! Getting to the city's main sites requires a car or transfer.
- Because the district is known for clubbing and partying, the area and hotel itself could be noisy in the summer season.
Additional Notes From Ash
It sounds cheesy, but "Feliz" is the best word for this place—everyone exuded happiness, from the staff to the live band members and guests. And despite being in such a vibrant, energetic, hip area, entering the hotel felt like a cool reprieve. I sat outside on the terrace for dinner, listening to live music, eating an incredible off-the-menu meal to accommodate my veg request, and chatting away with my server, who, despite being busy, was so relaxed and welcoming. I left the following day, already missing my new friends!Authenticity
Hotel Feliz strives to provide "happiness" in every corner, channeling Mallorca's carefree, upbeat vibe. Since you'll be in the lively El Terreno, the harbor promenade known for its famous bar and club scene, the hotel keeps the energy going while also providing a relaxing place to stay among the buzz.Location
Set conveniently close to the Port de Palma, Hotel Felix is a good option for those taking the ferry early in the morning. You'll be just a 15-minute walk or six-minute drive from where the boats leave for the other islands or mainland Spain. You'll also get an amazing view of the castle (a quick 13-minute walk from the hotel) and marina, but the tradeoff is that you won't be too close to Palma's Old Town. For example, plan to walk for at least 30 minutes or grab a 10-minute taxi or private transfer to the Cathedral de Mallorca.Rooms & Bathrooms
The rooms at Hotel Feliz are a big part of the property's appeal. All live up to the hotel's name, with warm, colorful, and inviting interiors that make you feel at home. The units facing the harbor feature balconies overlooking the outdoor terrace and sea views, and those facing the hills behind the hotel offer glimpses of Castell de Bellver. Book a suite for the best harbor views and perks like a separate bedroom and living room with a dining table.Other Highlights
The hotel offers two outdoor pools, both small but nice for a quick plunge in the summer. One is on the ground floor next to the outdoor terrace, and the other is on the rooftop, which also features lounge chairs and bar service. The indoor bar lounge is very charming, offering a beautiful breakfast buffet with homemade and locally sourced goods, plus an artisan shop and restaurant with live music throughout the week.Like what you see?
