Pros
  • The historic property is very charming, as it was once a manor house in the 15th century and still maintains numerous details from the past.
  • You'll enter the hotel via its grandiose lobby and lounge featuring marble flooring, stone columns, archways, and lots of art.
  • With the hotel just down the street from Plaça Major and around the corner from La Rambla, you can easily explore the city on foot.
  • The rooms also maintain historical details, including original wooden doors, stained glass, tiled floors, and iron balconies.
  • The spa is extensive, in a unique underground setting, and enveloped by the building's original sandstone walls, with a fire to keep you warm, a large pool, a sauna, and more.
  • Enjoy drinks and meals at the restaurant with its polished bar, elegant dining room, afternoon tea room, and cozy stone cellar.
  • You can also eat and relax in the inner courtyard or rooftop with its sundeck and outdoor pool.
Cons
  • The restaurant's menu has few options for vegetarians or vegans, though the staff is willing to help plan ahead if you have any specific requests.
  • Some rooms have slanted ceilings that are pretty low.

Authenticity

You'll stay in one of Palma's largest historic manor houses, originally built in the 15th century. While sandstone walls surround the underground spa, you'll find other nods to the past, such as the marble fireplace, original doors, beamed ceilings, restored tiling, and more.

Location

Enjoy an ideal location in the center of Palma, just a two-minute walk from La Rambla shopping street, eight minutes from Plaça Major, and 10 minutes to the Catedral de Mallorca via the scenic Passeig del Born. You'll be on a quiet, cobbled pedestrian street that ends at the Convent de Santa Magdalena de Palma near plenty of eateries and shops. If you'd like to enjoy the beach, a pleasant 25-minute walk will take you through the Old Town and by the cathedral to the start of Platja de Can Pere Antoni.

Rooms & Bathrooms

All rooms are stately with comfy and homey yet refined furnishings. You'll enjoy historical details like wood beams, exposed brick, and/or tiled floors, plus marble bathrooms and cozy bathrobes and slippers. Some suites add perks like soaking tubs, sofas, or lofted bedrooms. Though most have high ceilings, keep in mind that a few feature slanted ceilings that may be a little trickier for taller travelers.

Other Highlights

You'll find a restaurant, lounge bar, and tea room at the hotel, where you can enjoy your meals, drinks, and snacks in beautiful, historical settings. The breakfast buffet is impressive, with an assortment of homemade goods and an a la carte menu. Relax in the spa with its pool, sauna, aromatherapy room, and massages, or head up to the rooftop terrace to swim in the outdoor pool and enjoy the city views.
