This family-run guesthouse offers simple and clean rooms and warm hospitality from a convenient location just outside of Hella, about an hour and 15 minutes from Reykjavík. The small town of Hella is just a 10-minute drive, where you'll find a handful of services and restaurants and the mysterious man-made Caves of Hella. For those looking to explore the South Coast, you can reach the rainbow-colored hills of Landmannalaugar in two hours, walk behind the rushing waters of Seljalandsfoss in 40, or lay your hands on the geometric basalt formations of Reynisfjara Beach in an hour and a half.

There are just over 10 rooms here, which are basic and comfortable, and unlike many traditional guesthouses, may include private bathrooms. Triple rooms can sleep larger parties and all rooms have patios where you can enjoy fresh air and a view. Bathrooms have handheld shower heads that attach to the wall. While rooms don't have televisions, there's good Wifi if you want to stream from your own device.

Since this is a guesthouse, there's no on-site restaurant, but rather there's a shared kitchen.
