Midtown Apartments, Barcelona
"Excellent apartment option in the heart of Barcelona, perfect for groups and families."
Clean, quiet and great staff. Great location
Huge and clean apartment! Staff was very helpful and courteous.
Overview
Kimkim's Take
- The historic building has a curious and luxurious past, paying homage to the Eixample neighborhood's architectural reputation.
- Choose from 30 spacious one-, two-, or three-bedroom apartments, with the two- and three-bedroom options featuring two separate bathrooms.
- The ground-floor apartments are particularly historic, once housing some of Barcelona's most elite families.
- Apartments include air-conditioning, full kitchens, spacious living rooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows for lots of natural light.
- Adjoining apartments are available for larger groups.
- Parking is available upon request, as are luggage storage and lockers.
- You can relax on the rooftop terrace with a pool, lounge, and beautiful city views.
- There's no onsite restaurant or lobby lounge area.
Additional Notes from Ash
This is definitely the best apartment option I saw in Barcelona. The property offers a good balance of privacy/independence and service, and the apartments are beautiful—cozy, spacious, modern, cool. I love that the first-floor apartments once housed the city's elite, and the rooftop pool and terrace are pretty simple but a nice perk. I shared the elevator with a family of four and asked how they enjoyed their apartment, and all (even the teens) were very enthusiastic!
Authenticity
Set in a historic 19th-century building in the Eixample neighborhood, Midtown Apartments strive to maintain the property's past as an architectural masterpiece. Featuring Modernism and Noucentisme, the building once housed some of the city's most notable families, and you'll find that reflected in the spacious main-floor apartments.Location
Midtown Apartments allow you to stay in a more local area while still in the middle of it all! You'll be on the edge of the Eixample and El Born neighborhoods, within walking distance of numerous sites, such as the Arc de Triomf, Passeig de Gràcia, the Gothic Quarter, the Barcelona Cathedral, and the famous Bishop's Bridge.Rooms & Bathrooms
The property features 30 apartments in multiple configurations with one-, two-, and three-bedroom options. Even one-bedroom flats are quite spacious, and all have modern furnishings, full kitchens, cozy living rooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Spacious two- and three-bedroom apartments come with two separate bathrooms featuring toiletries and bold-colored tiles. Opt for the main-floor flats to experience a glimpse of the building's luxurious past.Amenities
There is a small rooftop pool that is open seasonally, with a solarium furnished with loungers, tables, and chairs. If you’re traveling by car, Midtown Apartments offers private, secure parking underground at an extra fee, and you’ll find an elevator that’ll take you up to the room. There is no gym on-site, but one perk is free access to a nearby fitness center. Midtown Apartments is accessible for wheelchair users, as you’ll find an elevator accessing all floors.Family-Friendliness
Families with children of all ages are welcome, and baby cribs can be provided free of charge. The apartments are large and suitable for families, with some apartments having with multiple bedrooms. Although you won’t find many amenities for families, there are some board games and puzzles you can borrow to keep the kids entertained.Other Highlights
As an apartment property, you won't find any common spaces here. However, guests can enjoy the rooftop pool and lounge area, an excellent perk for groups and families. Although there is no bar or restaurant on site, each room or apartment has its own kitchen, so you can prepare your own food or bring home some takeout.Like what you see?
