The NLH Monastiraki is located in an 1833 neoclassical building once home to a tailor and fabric company. Location

You can't get much more central than this location on Athinas Street, just a few blocks before it ends at Monastiraki Square. The hotel is a 15-minute walk to the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, and Syntagma Square, and you'll join the hustle and bustle of locals and tourists as soon as you walk out the front door. Get to the winding streets of Plaka within 10 minutes, or in the same amount of time, you can grab the metro at Monastiraki Station to head to your destination. 

Rooms & Bathrooms

This boutique hotel's rooms fall into 12 different categories, such as Cozy (which refers to the lack of view, not the size), Standard Double, Suites, and even two-story Lofts. The rooms are clean and simple in a non-descript modern hotel style, making them feel like they could be anywhere. However, some feature interesting details, such as exposed ancient stone walls that situate them more squarely in Greece. The Family Loft Suite, Premium Suite, and Grand Loft Suite are all appropriate for families and sleep up to five people. Our first hotel in Greece. We were moved here to be closer to the Acropolis and I was glad for that convenience, but we lost our breakfast included perk. The area was sketchy...much like downtown San Fransisco...lots of homeless. Bars around are loud and business are hopping early so that made it hard to sleep. But thats downtown living. All that said...the room was nice and fit us all comfortably. We loved the roof top bar with a view of the Acropolis. Read more

This is a very nice modern hotel, well situated near the old town plaza and acropolis. Everything was great except that there was apparently a new night spot that was playing booking musing until 4am. We aren’t night life people so this was not great. Overall this hotel was good in terms of the room size and also the size of the bathroom. The area of its location did not appear to be the best. The hotel door was locked at all times and only one person sat at the reception. Did not get time to taste their breakfast as we had an early morning flight. Staff was friendly. Someone was playing loud music all night. Perhaps passing cars that came and stood in front of the hotel. Not sure. Read more
