We had an amazing experience working with Emilce for our delayed-honeymoon trip to Argentina! Emilce was extremely responsive to our needs and questions, even when we asked her to rework the itinerary multiple times throughout the year. She was very knowledgable in the best activities and tours that matched our lifestyle, but also in finding the best value for the budget. She did an amazing job at the end with getting everything booked on a tight timetable.

Emilce helped us focus our trip on 3 areas - Buenos Aires, El Chalten/El Calafate in Patagonia, and Mendoza. She planned a trip where there was a healthy balance of travel/adventure with leisure time. We felt extremely satisfied at the end of our 2 weeks in the country and felt like we had a better sense of the magnitude of the country.

I under estimated the value of the service provided each day with the local guides, drivers, and tour contacts. We had extreme professionals taking care of us daily to make sure we knew exactly what to expect. Every contact in the trip was very personable as well and took great pride in ensuring our satisfaction and experience in Argentina. They helped make the trip even more unforgettable by providing insights and experiences that we could only get from a local perspective.

The one suggestion for future travelers is to try to fly into AEP instead of EZE when you want to explore the city. That would have saved us time and made it easier for luggage.

Absolutely incredible. We enjoyed the Casa Zolo back house as it felt like our own personal summer house away in the wine country. Staff were extremely professional and the kitchen cooked up some of the best dishes we had in the trip. So many nice touches from a historical venue - two pools, incredible scenery of mountains and gardens, massive rooms with beautiful ornate doors and windows, etc. I could go on and on. We felt special staying here.

Great location. Hotel room matched our need to be a base location for exploring Palermo. The room was very large to help us take hold of our luggage, but the open-concept sink outside the bathroom was very strange and led to messy floors with the water. I imagine the views from the room and top-floor breakfast area are stunning in the spring/fall. It was very sunny and warm during our trip so we weren't able to maximize this.

We had a great trip to Argentina, which was only organised 6 weeks before.
Overall the experience was good, however there were a few small issues.

Matias was really friendly and helpful, however when planning the trip initially i felt the response time was quite slow and the initial trip planned did not coincide with the budget well which wasted a couple of weeks. This meant we had less time to plan it properly.

The majority of the activities booked were really good and enjoyable. Some were not so good.
Overall the help during the visit was good however there were times we did not get responses back quick enough to react to. And even once we had to chase to get our boarding passes sent to us as we were at the airport. Some things like this could have been planned and communicated a lot better.

I didnt really feel like there was enough planned or offered to us that we couldnt have quite easily researched ourselves and definitely could have done it much cheaper. There were a few places in Argentina and Uruguay that other people kept telling us about whilst we were over there but where not mentioned to us before to have a look at
For the prices we paid i would be hesitant to use the service again, unless like us in this situation you are short on planning time. In which case it was very helpful

That being said Matias made our lives easy whilst we were out there and arranged all the transfer to and from the hotel and the planned activities. And a big shout out to Lucas who was always available when we couldnt get hold of Matias.

Argentina was a breathtaking country! The biodiversity was unmatched. Every new city was like being in a different world. All the activities were terrific, private transport was great, and the guides were lovely! Our favorite guide was Camila in Iguazu Falls. She had the best energy, shared mate with us and was just lovely! Our favorite activities were trekking Perito Moreno Glacier and snorkeling with sea lions in Puerto Madryn. Can’t miss. There were a couple hiccups along the way, but Mattias was quick rectify them! The only suggestion I would have is get to know travelers better to suggest more appropriate yours. We are a very active couple and adventure seekers and there were a few things that weren’t suggested to us that we had to squeeze in on site when we learned about them from other travelers.

Jason planned an incredible honeymoon for us that exceeded all of our expectations. We had no major hiccups the entire trip (not even a domestic flight delay) and had excellent service for each of our scheduled events. We truly feel we saw all the best things each of our locations in Argentina could offer. We were blown away and would absolutely work with Jason again. Thank you!

While researching agencies to help me plan my 50th birthday trip to South America, I came across the name KimKim. KimKim is an online travel agency that uses local travel specialists to help you plan your trip. I was very fortunate to be connected with Emilce Alonso, an Argentina travel agent that helped me put the trip together. I’ve done a lot of traveling, but this trip was incredible. Emi did a phenomenal job of putting our trip together. I made a list of everything I wanted to do in South America, eliminated a lot because of time and then let Emi know the things we wanted to do. She put it all together for us and did an amazing job of booking our flights in South America (we had to book the international flights), booking all of the hotels and setting up all of our excursions. She was extremely patient as I made multiple changes to the itinerary, even weeks before departure time. We were greeted at every airport by a driver and sometimes a guide, we were picked up for every excursion at our hotels and all of the guides were very friendly and spoke English. We did some of the excursions with private guides, which made it extra special. A few guides that stand out are Yvette in the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. She was well known and led us to the front of the many long lines and was very knowledgeable. Jorge in Quito, Ecuador was our favorite! It was a private tour of the city and old town. He was very personable, felt like we were family visiting and getting to know his city. While in Peru, Veronica went out of her way to make sure our stay was special. This trip was also about celebrating our 20 year anniversary and she surprised us with a bottle of champagne for New Years and set up a private tour guide for Machu Pichu. Fatima picked us up at the train station and led us through an impressive tour of one of the new seven wonders of the world! One of the best things was that they were available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns we had. I highly recommend KimKim to anyone interested in stress-free travel!

Everything was so very easy and wonderful, tailored so nicely to our family! The kids had a marvelous time, no melt downs, which meant that the parents had a wonderful time as well! The jungle fly tour was especially fun for all and finding the best ice cream spot on the city tour was also a big treat! Iguazu is a place for all to visit, especially up close and UNDER the falls. All of our guides were attentive to the adult and children needs, meeting them wonderfully. Thanks for a great trip!

Where to start? I hope I can properly express how incredible our trip to Argentina was because of the planing and care Natalia provided. This was my first experience using KimKim and I will continue to use it for all my future trips. We were able to fully enjoy ourselves knowing everything was taken care off, no stress about pickup or what to do each day. We had the loveliest personal expert guides in every city who became part of the fun ( we had a our own personal sommelier in Mendoza!). Natalia also arranged one of the best experiences in my lifetime, horseback riding in the middle of a remote island in Patagonia, something I know we would have never been able to find on our own. I have told anyone who is interested in visiting Argentina they must use Natalia and I hope we get the opportunity to return and work with her again!

This is our second time using Kimkim and the experience with our trip to Argentina was a bit rockier than our previous stellar experience in Portugal. Starting with the driver not picking us up when we landed in Buenos Aires to quite a few schedule schedule changes throughout, we were most concerned at the last minute notifications and lack of consultation from the local office. When we got Kimkim HQ involved, they were very responsive and worked hard with the local office to try to sort things out and also to compensate us for the problems. The activities themselves were great and the scenery in Argentina is breathtaking. The local guides were all excellent. But just a word of caution to expect spur-of-the-moment changes, at least in Argentina.

Nice visit to both small towns and the surrounding scenery was gorgeous, as were the views all along the way. Unfortunately we didn't make it to Humahuaca in time to see the priest come out of the clock as promised and also learned the 14 color mountain was a separate tour and not included with our day trip. Beyond that though, we really enjoyed the small towns and opportunity to taste the local flavors during our lunch stop.

We really enjoyed working with Lucas to build a custom trip that would meet our needs and travel plans. I get overwhelmed with activity choices, and it was nice the the service help narrowed down the options to some top choices. The real treat was having the private or group transfers pre-arranged for most of the trip. It was nice to have everything planned out with plenty of time between activities and travels.

The falls are beautiful and impressive, but the crowds and our guide really detracted from sights for us. It was hard to get a scale of the falls since you are so close to them and don't see the whole expanse until the end. Our guide really rushed us through the park and didn't allow much time for pictures or watching the wildlife. He also took a literal roll-call every 30 minutes or so, so the whole tour felt very micro-managed. By far the best part of the day was the boat ride. Without the boat experience we would have been very disappointed.

I am a well-travelled individual and I have to say, the service Hervé at KimKim provided was second to none. He was able to listen to our intereste and build a detailed, custom trip to exceed our expectations. Not only was every last detail tended to (he would check us in for our flights without being asked, he would make every transfer confirm our pick up, etc) but everything he arranged was top notch. I literally texted Hervé every day of our trip with some question or new request, and he was always quick to respond and provide whatever help we needed. I have never experienced such great service and really cannot praise him enough. I will definitely use their services again!

This was an excellent and amazing vacation!

Hard to single out one place. I learned a lot about a part of the world that I never really thought about. It was exciting to be in Buenos Aires when they won the soccer championship. We were there at the right time to share their joy. All places we visited were beautiful. The guides were excellent. I can only say that it opened up a whole world I was ignorant of. We have been to Europe several times. This trip gave me a new understanding of the world.

An outstanding trip with Natalia preparing a wonderful itenerary and guides. Natalia was amazing - dealing with a 14 hour delayed arrival, which turned into landing at the same time as the Argentinian soccer team after winning the world cup (mass chaos at the airport and travel) to getting us safely to our hotel. The trip was designed perfectly for us - with Natalia creating a curated adventure - addressing areas we wanted to see and things we wanted to do. All the guides were great - Jessica Zimmerman in BA, Laura in Iguazu and Jorge in Salta. Each of them worked well with our family (adults and a 14 and 17 year old). Would highly recommend this team to anyone considering a trip to Argentina

Oleksandra helped us to plan our 2 week honeymoon trip to Buenos Aires, Calafate, and Ushuaia. It made planning so much easier to have her available for questions & recommendations. Communication leading up to and during our trip was responsive. All of the airport transfers and excursions were smooth. Stay here for the views. It's designed so that every room has a great view. While the shuttle to/from the city is a nice option, we only ever used it to go into the city in the morning (never a problem regarding it being too crowded), otherwise just easier to get a taxi. Not the most convenient location from a walkability perspective (to restaurants, etc.) but the views were great. The lobby felt new but the rooms felt a bit old/outdated. Front desk staff was available via Whatsapp which we found extremely helpful for random questions about the hotel and town.

This was our favorite hotel of the trip! Most comfortable bed, hot shower with great water pressure, perfect location on the edge of town so still easily walkable everywhere, delicious breakfast including freshly made eggs upon request, and the owner was so hospitable. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again ourselves should we have the opportunity to return.

Walk with Penguins on Martillo Island

Totally worth it! While it is a long drive, it's scenic and the guide shared lots of history on the way out (in both Spanish & English). So cool to see wild penguins up close. Felt like the guides were very respectful of the penguins' and their environment, prioritizing the penguins over tourist enthusiasm. When we were there in early Nov, it was their nesting season.

It's hard to put 2 weeks into a small text box, but overall this trip exceeded our expectations by far! Everything was smooth and well-coordinated. It was completely stress-free on our end, but i can only imagine the amount of work on the other side!

We particularly loved the private tours with Daniel in Mendoza, Jaime in Valparaiso, and our favorite was Vitor in Santiago; so much information!! We had never done the "private" tour style before this trip, and we will definitely choose that from now on!

One of our highlights was being in Argentina for the world cup semifinals. We loved Buenos Aires in general and can't wait to go back there. Chili was also amazing, with so much more to explore.

We hope to book another trip with KimKim next year!

Everything was sparkling new and refreshing, but not really local character i think. However after the Mendoza hotel which was lots of character but not as fancy, this was a nice way to have the other experience!

We made it work by getting the Bip subway cards, but travelers not used to public transportation might find the location too far from the tourist places. (The subway was amazing wow! So it worked out great!) Also, due to the timing of the Xmas holiday the mall was so crowded, it felt like black Friday:)

We absolutely loved the Bodega RE. The wines were great, the winery guide was great, the place was beautiful. The Bosque winery was pretty but again felt pretty corporate, but the lunch and tour were well done. Our guide/driver Jaime was very informative and friendly and we learned a lot from him!

This had so much great information!! Vitor was the best! We felt like we got to know the whole countryside. We even stopped to feed carrots to llamas! Viña del Mar was beautiful and the lunch worked out great; we loved being able to order what we wanted. The walking tour of Valparaiso provided by Vitor really helped orient us to the city!

We really loved Santa Rita! We learned a lot on the tour, enjoyed the beautiful garden, and really enjoyed the tasting! Concho y Toro, while super popular and known as a must-see, wasn't our favorite...it felt too corporate. Our guide Vitor was amazing and gave us a ton of additional information!

The tour was full of about 14 people, all of who spoke Spanish except us. So the guide gave 80% of the info in Spanish and only 20% in English. I told him I could understand Spanish if he spoke slowly, so he did slow down a bit for me, but my husband got not much out of it. Also...the tour ends by them dumping you in a tourist trap gift shop for blue stones. (None of our other tours were like this!!) We walked out and found our own way back.

This is a joint review from Tim and Mary.

This was our first time using KimKim for travel planning service and we were pleased with the ease of planning and collaboration with Natalia Canonico and the Buenos Aires-based agency Designer Trips Argentina. We worked together over several weeks and chat correspondence to develop a plan that suited our interests, time-frame and budget. Natalia was very open to our requests and questions, while also providing valuable insights on the elements of the trip.

First, our in-country travel services were excellent and we especially appreciated Sophie from Turismo Milodon reaching out to us while we were on the Chilean side of Patagonia.

We were equally thankful that Natalia continued to check in with us while we were in Argentina. She was especially helpful when Mary suffered the blow to her head in BA.

We were also completely satisfied with the drivers, all of whom were friendly and reliable.

Our experience at Hotel NOI Blend Colchagua was very nice and had a very friendly staff, particularly Esteban. We appreciated the rooms, the restaurant and the setting.

We loved Hotel Las Torres in Patagonia-Torres Del Paine National Park . The staff was very friendly and attentive and we appreciated the number of choices for day excursions as well as the quality of the meals. Three of our guides there stood out for their enthusiasm, knowledge and friendliness: Daniel, Valentina and Sebastian. Each of them were thoughtful and open to the sort of wide-ranging conversations that can occur on long hikes. They made our time with them especially enjoyable and memorable. We also liked the bar as a place to gather after our hikes.

Our favorite hotel was EOLO just outside of El Calafate. The staff there was notably well-trained, the food and wine were exemplary, and the vibe was especially relaxed. We found Lucy, our guide on a two or so hour horseback ride from the hotel, to be especially charming.

The Perito Moreno mini-trekking excursion and viewing of the glacier from the National Park was another highlight of the trip, and we were well-attended to by the driver and private guide.

Hostería El Puma in El Chalten was nice, but the highlight there was our day-long hike up to Laguna de los Tres with Nicolas, who, like Daniel, Valentina and Sebastian in Chile, shared his knowledge of the flora, fauna and mountain enthusiastically and was genuinely gracious. He also set the pace to match our capacity.

The El Casco Art Hotel in Bariloche was our second favorite hotel, to EOLO. Both were wonderfully designed and were very comfortable. The highlight of Bariloche was the Isla Victoria Trek and lunch, guided by Carolina. Carolina was charming, informed and we loved our conversations with her as we hiked around the Isla. But the most enchanting part of the day was the lunch prepared for us by Gustavo on the Piedras Blancas Beach. The view, the food and the weather made for a cinematic experience we’ll always remember.

Our hotel in BA, the Mine, was nice, albeit with small rooms common in large cities. We enjoyed strolling the streets of Palermo neighborhood, and had a delicious steak dinner at Lo de Jesus. The Mine Hotel staff, especially Claudio, were very helpful when Mary suffered her accident.

Overall, we were overjoyed with the trip and appreciate Kim-Kim and the agencies, guides, drivers and hotels assembled for us.

One final comment about Kim-Kim’s approach. We found it less than transparent as to pricing for components of the trip, which we find contrary to its fundamental attraction (on-line, message-based communications and service). You might consider our view as the ‘Uber-ization’ of services suggests that competitors of Kim-Kim that are more transparent as to pricing may garner more customers.

This was my wife and I honeymoon. I have to say that Lucas, our kimkim planner , was absolutely fantastic! Lucas was always available for us and even when on the vacation we questions and Lucas was there to help. He worked with me on every detail of the trip and we really packed on a lot of stuff into our trip. The glaciers were our favorite part in calafate. So beautiful! What was great is that everything was taken care of. Flights, transportation, reservations, activities, tours everything ran like clock work. We wanted to enjoy our honeymoon and not have to worry about details like how we would get from here to there: Lucas and KimKim provided that and we can thank you you guys enough. Oleksandra did a great job organising our 12 days in Argentina with brief stops in Brazil and Chile. She packed in as much in as she could without it feeling too rushed, though we did move about a lot and everything went very smoothly, pickups, flights and excursions. The excursions were well chosen and well run. Often we were on our own with a guide just for 4 of us which was fantastic, though we weren’t expecting it and I guess it was just how it worked out on the day.

The guides were very good especially Lorena, a local guide in Iguazu who was charming and knowledgeable. Dante in Puerto Madryn was also excellent - very keen to please and knowledgeable.

Alongside Iguazu, Mendoza was lovely with a highlight being a delightful lunch/ wine pairing in a spectacular location (Ojo de Agua) where we were given plenty of time to relax and enjoy it. Patagonia was a change and we did get to see some wonderful flora and fauna including whales and sea lions as well as penguins very close up.

We had a few minor a questions on the way which were dealt with promptly. Hotel choices were good and we specially liked Ivy de Selva in Iguazu. Some were a little more quirky than I had desired, but I think that goes with the territory here not the operators and nothing impacted the enjoyment of our trip.

I would use Kimkim again and plan to do so in the future.

One of our more quirky stays. The rooms were huge and unique, decorated with local artefacts. The beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning struggled to cope, but we mentioned it as we were going out and the staff said they would open the windows while the outside was cool , but shut them later and we returned to find fans had been put in the room as well. So 10/10 for doing what they could to help. Layout is curious and one of the pools was out of use, but the other was fine. Again, the shower took some working out, but we got the technique. Sweet, attentive staff and a small, homely feel.

The penguin part of this trip was really good, but because of weather the boat element to see the dolphins we were really looking forwards to was cancelled. We weren’t told and it was only after rather further in the car than expected that we realised we were on a different trip than we thought. There was some confusion and we only then came to know that we had embarked on a different trip which replaced the boat trip with a cultural experience to another town. Given the choice up front we wouldn’t have done it and would have opted to do something else, so this was rather frustrating, but having set off and driven quite far at that stage we went with it. Somewhere along the line the communications had missed us out as obviously the cancellation due to weather couldn’t be helped.
