Lovely old building in the center of Bergen. Large and modern rooms. Excellent restaurant.

Fast and modern boat. Great view the whole way. I’d recommend taking a jacket if you want to sit outside on the boat. Even on a warm day it’s cool in the breeze.

We were lucky enough to be the only folks on the tour the afternoon we did it. The guide let us take as slow or as fast as we wanted to and was very knowledgeable about the fjord and answered all my kids questions!

It’s only an hour round trip from Flåm if you walk at a decent pace. The uphill piece is no joke with 697 steps to the viewing point but worth the effort.

Most comfortable bed, great central location, no air conditioning if there in July it was Hot(30). If open windows loud motor cycles zooming past . Apart from that outstanding

It was a dream come true ! Had the 3 bedroom cabin right on the water. Incredible views of midnight sun lighting over harbour and jagged cliffs . Didn’t want to leave. Bring your own shampoo/soap etc it’s like glamping with the best view on the planet! People speak enough English to get by.. easy if self driving

Had inside cabins with bunk beds .. rooms were well thought out even though very small . Dinner was excellent We only stayed on overnight so didn’t get full experience. Hot tub was nice but only 1 of 2 working when onboard.

Loved being so central to trains but without downtown noises if window open .

Loved the older charm of the place, great spot away from crowds. Authentic food . Only negative is 2 floors and no elevator if have mobility issues

So easy to get to and simply stunning views. Our 18-20 yr old kids loved it too.

Another perfectly located hotel, with lots of charm. The large gas fireplace in the center of the lobby, surrounded by lots of comfy couches and chairs, couldn't have been more welcoming. This hotel was just a 10 minute walk from where we met the day long fjord cruise to Geiranger trip and 15 minute walk from the Aksla trail.

This hotel was perfectly located in Bergen! Just a stones throw away from the famous Bryggen buildings. While we loved the location and being on the upper floor, the one downside was we had to carry our luggage up one extra flight of stairs for our "attic" room. The room was spacious, with a HUGE bathroom - which had both a shower and a tub.

We had a fabulous view of the fjord from our room at this simple but welcoming and low key hotel where dinner is included as part of the stay.

Right in the heart of Flam, this hotel feels grand but in a low key accessible way. The room was purposely designed to feel old, including a claw foot tub. Great breakfast too.

This hotel is in the PERFECT location to explore Oslo. The rooms are modern and reasonably sized. Their Norwegian breakfast was one of the best of our trip.

The day trip to Geiranger turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Not only was it a sunny day which made for extra special views of the fjord, one of the crew on the cruise was very friendly and shared helpful information throughout the journey, from the history of individual villages or homes we passed along the way, to things to do once we got to Geiranger, including to rent a mini Geiranger electric car, which had a GPS inside to direct you to a fabulous overlook just 15 minutes away. Once we got to the overlook for our perfect top of a fjord picture, we hiked a short bit in along a marked path and quickly got a way from most of the other tourists. We also enjoyed lunch and an ice-cream in town.

Enjoyed our walk up to the viewpoint. Great views of the city.

Great way to get to the top of Mount Floyen! Fun seeing the goats grazing amongst the visitors. We walked down on our own, which was fun but it does take a while to traverse all those switchbacks!

Throughly enjoyed exploring Bergen on our own. We made it to the Fantoft Stave Church, which I'd recommend.

This meal exceeded our expectations! Not only was the food very tasty and the beers perfectly matched, the atmosphere was fun and lively. We are not beer drinkers but couldn't believe how well each beer went with the corresponding dish.

This was the one activity of the trip that I would definitely skip. There was nothing wrong with the excursion. The vendor did a fine job. But since we got to see the fjord from the water two other times as part of the RIB excursion later that day and then the next day from the "Norway in a Nutshell" ferry, I would have rather used that half day to go to the famous Stegastein overlook, walk to the Flam church, or go on another hike.

Enjoyed walking around and exploring Flam, including a hike to the nearby falls. That was a highlight.

Our guide and driver helped create a convenient and efficient way to learn about and see Oslo.

Loved having a half day of free time once we arrived to explore the city on our own.

Location and views were amazing! Close to the dock, activities, hiking and biking trails, while maintaining a private feel. Breakfast was fantastic. We loved the lobby area. There was plenty of space to relax and enjoy the view. The gym on site was a plus. We also enjoyed our small balcony in our room. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable.

Excellent location! Close to transportation, activities. Lovely views. We enjoyed the indoor pool. It’s the only recreation on -site. It is super hot in the pool area though, so it is better for the winter time. Dinner at the restaurant was authentic Norwegian food, but small portions and limited menu.

The location was fantastic. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. But, the lack of air-conditioning, which is common, resulted in us having to open our hotel room windows to the very loud street noise. I would have liked to have had fans in each room for the summer when it is hot. I would have liked to have had a gym on the property, too.

We rented the e-bikes and we were glad we did. We could go further than regular mountain bikes would have allowed. As a result, we saw breathtaking waterfalls, the historic Otteren farm, and enjoyed a relaxing lunch in town. The process was easy. The bike quality was superb.

The equipment provided was fantastic. Made the trip very comfortable. We enjoyed our guide, Erwin’s stories, and the places he took us. It was very relaxing. However, we saw no wildlife as we had hoped. Contrary to what is advertised, it is not a high adrenaline tour. No waves, we didn’t get wet (it was not windy that day). Just a nice cruise on the water.

Our favorite place we stayed! We had cabin 21, which was the last one on the road. Very authentic, beautiful views.

Very special locally-owned guest house. We had the apartment, which was perfect for our family of four. Lone’s dinners were delicious.

Easy bus trip from the airport. Comfortable rooms. Large buffet breakfast. Good place to stay if heading back to the airport, but would stay closer to downtown if wanting to spend time in Oslo.

Beautiful evening. We couldn’t go into the fjords because of the wind, but it was still a great experience.

What a great day! We loved spending the day with Robin and exploring the island. The biking was not too strenuous, and we were able to see so much.

Beautiful hotel! Amazing breakfast! The staff was incredibly helpful. For example, my fiance was not feeling well, and one of the front desk staff came to our room at my inquiry to check on him. Also, another front desk staff helped me immensely with local public transportation tickets and getting around.

This was SO MUCH FUN!!! Highly recommend!

This was relaxing and the tour guide provided relevant and interesting narrative on the sites that we saw on the cruise. I expected more spectacular views since "Fjord" was in the name of the cruise. The scenery was pretty, but not breathtaking. So my expectations were slightly high.

Our stay in Bergen was at a central location that was quite convenient for getting to the train station, which was nice. However, our initial room was very small and not up to our expectations, as it barely had space for our suitcases. KimKim was quick to upgrade our room, which improved our experience significantly. The upgraded room was spacious and nice. The hotel did offer the best breakfast of all the places we stayed, but it was still our least favorite hotel overall.

We stayed at the historical hotel in Flam, and it was an absolute delight. The ambiance of the hotel and its surroundings made for a memorable stay. This was my favorite among the places we stayed in Norway, and I was thrilled we managed to book a room there. The location in Flam was excellent for exploring the area, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We decided to try the Fløibanen Funicular, but were disappointed with the ticket policy. We had planned to go up, explore, and return in the evening, but it turns out the ticket was only for a single round trip, not all-day access as we had understood. This misunderstanding could have been costly had we planned a dinner up there. It didn't ruin our trip, but it's something that travelers should be aware of.

The Fjord RIB Safari & Undredal Cheese Tasting was fantastic! We had an amazing time on the fjord, and the cheese tasting added a delightful local flavor to our experience. It was one of the highlights of our trip and something we would highly recommend.

The Summer Kayaking Excursion in Flam was our top favorite activity of the trip. Although it wasn't initially recommended to us, I asked about it, and I'm so glad we got to do it. It was an incredible experience to paddle through the fjord and take in the stunning scenery from the water. Truly unforgettable!

My favorite hotel of our trip! The building has such a history to it that is highlighted and celebrated throughout your experience. The rooms were so nice and thoughtfully decorated. I loved that they had a guidebook with recommendations from the staff throughout the hotel. The bathrooms were large with nice showers. The restaurant downstairs Atlas was so good for breakfast and has an amazing Caesar salad. Nice gym, the sauna was down for maintenance, but we were able to use the one at the Clarion during that time

John was amazing!! He shared so much history and had such a love for the city that made us all excited to share in it!

This hotel is fine, but I would not recommend. It was on a busy street so it was loud in our room. Our room was on the top floor and it got hot. They brought us a fan, which helped, but we could not adjust the temperature. The breakfast was included and was very good.

This hotel is beautiful and is in a great location to the central Oslo. The breakfast buffet was amazing and become a food highlight of the trip. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fun to see and experience some food.

The 3 hour Private City Walk was okay. We ended up taking a ferry to the Fram museum. The guide was excellent at providing us with some background and history regarding the Fram. It was very interesting, and the museum was excellent and I highly recommend it. Once we were at the Fram, we wanted to stay there and look around but our time with the guide was up so she left and we stayed at the museum. I’m just not sure if the guide was really that useful, but without her we may not have attended the museum so we are thankful for that. The time may have been better spent walking around Oslo and getting the history and background about the palace, opera house, etc. from the guide and then doing the Fram on our own.

The kids in our group did this activity and it was their absolute favorite.

My stay at the last hotel in Oslo was initially concerning due to my claustrophobia and the room's location deep within the hotel. However, the staff was understanding and moved me to a beautiful space with high ceilings and lovely windows near the stairs on the second floor. Despite the initial discomfort, the staff's accommodation merits praise.

The city tour in Bergen was fantastic! The guide, though Australian, had immense knowledge about Bergen's history, such as the thirteen houses and the German influence over centuries. She was entertaining and knowledgeable. Post-tour, her recommendation to take the Fløibanen Funicular was spot on. I loved Bergen and definitely want to return!

Our Private City Walk in Oslo was incredible. Our guide tailored the tour to our interests post visiting the typical sites like the palace and the opera house the day before. I got an outstanding, personalized experience with additional unique sights. She even recommended her favorite ice cream spot. It was an incredibly personal and enriching tour!

The Flåm Fjord RIB Safari and Undredal Cheese Tasting were amazing! Inga, our tour guide, was fantastic. The tour was quick, fun, and the cheese tasting in Undredal was delightful. It was one of my favorite experiences in Norway.
