Enjoy a leisurely day at one of the many beaches near Nafplio Town. It's a great way to relax, enjoy the scenic environment, and swim in the sea! You'll find plenty of beaches catering to different interests. So whether you want a lively coast with lots of amenities or a quiet corner to yourself, you can find a beautiful shore to enjoy.

Depending on your preferences, here are a few options:

  • Arvanitia Beach. If you want to stay in Nafplio's Old Town, you can easily walk to Arvanitia. Although small, it's a favorite amongst locals and offers incredible views of the famous Palamidi and Acronafplia Castles.
  • Karathona Beach. Another local favorite, this beach is a great option if you want to completely de-stress away from busy modern life. It's more remote than others and offers a beautiful crescent shape, shallow water, and signature Greek turquoise hue.
  • Tolo Beach. Due to its long list of amenities, such as bars, restaurants, sunbeds, and watersports, Tolo is an ideal beach for young friends and families. It's also quite long, so although you'll have everything you need, you can still find secluded areas. 
  • Kastraki Beach. This smaller, quiet beach near Tolo is a great place to relax. It's set in a more rugged cove, creating calm and shallow water. 
  • Plaka Beach. Near the village of Drepanon, Plaka Beach is easily accessible by car, bicycle, or even on foot. It's a bit busier than some of the others, but the sand is soft and fluffy.
  • Kantia Beach. Kantia is a long and thin pebbled beach that has something for everyone. You'll find beach bars, quiet corners, volleyball nets and watersports, and shallow waters.
