Kimkim's Take

Pros:
- Serene hotel boasting a pool in bustling Athens, a welcome feature in the city in summer.
- Very close to the south entrance of the Acropolis.
- Adjacent park ideal for strolls or hikes near nature, offering a connection with nature in the middle of the city.
- About half the rooms offer views of Philopappos Hill, while the other half look over the city and port, guaranteeing a beautiful view
- A 20-30 minute walk is required to reach Syntagma and Monastiraki Squares through the surrounding hills.
- Its impressive rooftop is bordered by residential buildings, which can make it feel a bit invasive but also be an opportunity to be part of the daily Athenian life
Authenticity
Acropolis Hill Hotel mirrors Athens' blend of history and modern progress. Against a backdrop of ancient wonders, the hotel offers an authentic stay, bringing guests closer to the city's heartbeat through its unique location. The hotel's modern style, influenced by Grecian elements, embraces understated elegance, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the charm of Athens authentically. Its proximity to Filopappou Hill adds a touch of natural tranquility, creating an inviting space where the spirit of Athens is felt in every hospitable interaction and design choice—a modern home steeped in the rich context of its surroundings.Location
In many ways, the Acropolis Hill is in a perfect location: It’s next to popular sites like the Acropolis and Filopappou Hill but it’s also peaceful and quiet. It’s in an area where you can feel both like a tourist and a local all at once, as you can easily join the folks walking the pedestrian path of the Areopagitou under the Acropolis or just wander the neighborhood and get a glimpse of local life. Both the Acropolis and Syggrou-Fix metro stations are 10 minutes away by foot, while other sites like the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, or Hadrian’s Library are all within 20 minutes of walking distance from the hotel. While the Acropolis Hill is definitely in a convenient location, it is at the top of a hill and the surrounding areas near Filopappou and between the hotel and some of these sites are quite hilly, which may be a concern for those with accessibility or health issues.
Rooms & Bathrooms
The 37 rooms of the Acropolis Hill fall into three categories of standard double, triple, and doubles with a view of Filopappou Hill. Some rooms include balconies, while the triple is best for a small family of three, as it includes a fold-out couch that is in the same room as the master bed. The rooms are basic both in style and with their amenities, as they include beds, a closet, and a simple bathroom.Like what you see?

Very nice hotel with a great view of the Acropolis. Enjoyed the variety and quality of food options for breakfast. Excellent arrival evening reception on the rooftop enjoying illuminated views of the Acropolis. Our excursions kept us so busy we did not have much time to spend at the hotel, so we did not use all the amenities, such as the pool.

The rooms were small but the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great. Best thing about this hotel was the roof top deck that we sat our every change we could to have a glass of wine and look at the Acropolis.

Location fantastic near the acropolis. Many restaurants/cafes were a short walk away. Rooms were small but efficient. Water pressure was amazing and A/C worked like a champ. Major downside was the small elevator (3 people max) making it hard to move luggage up/down the 6 floors. Lobby was dark all the time and not exactly inviting. Staff were nice and housekeepers did a great job.
