Authenticity
Although Garifalakis Comfort Rooms opened in 2015, its traditional Cycladic style feels timeless. Light blue doors and shutters punctuate the whitewashed exterior, while the interiors consist of white walls, natural light, and simple decor that fits right in with the traditional style of the Cycladic Islands. This family-owned property welcomes you with the hospitality Greeks are famous for, as owner Nektaria treats guests like family, offering care and local tips to make your stay more comfortable.
Location
The hotel is located in the fishing village of Pollonia on the northeast tip of Milos. While the port of Adamantas and the main village of Plaka are each a 20-minute drive away, this location feels a world away from these busier areas. You can feel like a local here as you stroll through the village to explore its shops, restaurants, and beaches, all within a 20-minute walk. Although the village is easily accessible on foot, you may want to rent a car to see sites of the island, like the otherworldly formations of Papafragas Caves, a 5-minute drive, or the white lunar landscape of Sarakiniko, 15 minutes by car.
Rooms & Bathrooms
While the rooms are modern and outfitted with present-day amenities, their style is classic Cycladic with white walls, minimal decoration, and windows letting in bright natural light. All options have a balcony or terrace and a fully equipped kitchenette. Doubles, Triples, and Family rooms are all available, so larger parties can comfortably spread out. Bathrooms are a bit different from the rooms, as they're made of earth-toned mosaic tiles and rock-style showers.
Amenities
The hotel has a small, intimate spa available to accommodate one to two guests at a time. Reservations are required, and each booking offers access to massage, a hammam (steam sauna), and a Jacuzzi with hydromassage. There's no gym or pool available. This hotel isn't suitable for people with limited mobility or those who use wheelchairs.Family-Friendliness
Children of all ages are welcome, and one child up to age three can stay free per room. Cribs are available upon request. The best room for families is the Comfort Family Room, a family apartment with two spaces. The hotel doesn't have any dedicated facilities for children; the hotel is better thought of as a place to rest in between exploring the island of Milos.Other Highlights
There are no restaurants or bars at the hotel. Still, guests can have breakfast at the café directly across the street—a venue with outdoor dining and beautiful views of the Aegean Sea—for an extra fee.Like what you see?
