Karahé Beach Hotel, Manuel Antonio

Make sure to get a Beach Front room ( and not one next to the road).

Our pickup time for San Jose got delayed. For one hour.
The staff of the hotel helped to find out where the driver was.
They arranged for a driver who took us a few miles and connected us to a van who drove us to San Jose.
The driver of the van was an excellent driver!

This hotel is split into 2 main parts so if you do book here, make sure that you get a room on the ocean side of the resort, so you do not have to cross the busy road to access the restaurant and beach. From the balcony of our room, we could see the beach and could also view the on-site restaurant and pool. My kids were absolutely in love with the resort pet cat, which was really friendly, and my daughter would have taken home had we let her. There was also many other animals that were right on the resort grounds (capuchin monkeys, lizards, agouti, toucans, etc.)-- so much so that we didn't think it was necessary to go on a nature walk through the reserve park, as all the same animals were right on our resort. The only downside to this resort was the prices of the items on the on-site restaurant menu--They were shockingly high, so we made an effort to eat at other local restaurants. Shout out to the Magic Bus, a local eatery right off the beach that we ate at twice, it was that good.

My stay at Karahé Beach Hotel in Manuel Antonio was a mix of experiences. The location was fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious. However, the room we had was basic and had some issues with bugs due to a door that didn't close properly. On the contrary, the beachfront rooms were amazing, offering a different level of comfort and views. Overall, the hotel had its pros and cons, but the beachfront rooms were definitely worth considering.

Clean and nice beach

Huge rooms. Beach access is a bit of a hike from the upper rooms. Monkey's hang around the beach, and we saw a few sloths in town. We were able to walk to a few restaurants, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel has 2 separate areas - the one closer to the beach was much nicer. Super friendly and helpful staff, from front desk, to cleaning staff, to the maintenance guy who fixed our TV. The included breakfast was a bit underwhelming but location by the beach was great.

Adequate hotel. The AC worked well. Beach front is a relative term....you could "kind of see" the beach if you squinted. The room was very dark but reasonably clean. The food was adequate.

My room was very nice some of the most wonderful people work at this hotel. The view was great I could see the beach I was on the beach. Everyone at this hotel are very friendly people very friendly my stay there made me feel like I must come back again.

I'm a kimkim staff member, and I was on a work trip when I stayed at this hotel. This is a great option for a standard 3-star hotel. I loved the location! It has beach access with a beach club where you can sit under the shade of trees and watch the sunset. I ate and sipped drinks, watching the waves roll in while monkeys were overhead or on the ground stealing people's food. The hotel is near Manuel Antonio National Park. The room balcony offer the sound of waves crashing and even saw a capybara from my hotel balcony.
