Authenticity

Montelaguna Boutique Hotel's staff are all incredibly welcoming and friendly, and its grounds are taken care of very well. The complex almost feels like a large house with multiple rooms, with the pool area at its center. Guests are invited to spend the afternoon unwinding in the lounge area where they can enjoy a variety of exotic fruit drinks.

Location

The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet location between Playa Sámara and Playa Carrillo, which are a 10-minute walk away. It's situated just off Route 106, which is a busy road, but the hotel is nestled in a gated area.

Rooms and Bathrooms

The rooms at Montelaguna Boutique Hotel are well-decorated and feature wood floors. Some rooms have balconies, and others open right onto the pool deck. All 17 rooms are equipped with a coffee maker and cups, a minifridge, and toiletries. The beds only come with a sheet and no extra blankets, so it can get a little cold at night if the AC is being used. 

Other Highlights

The hotel offers a buffet breakfast included in the stay, and the on-site restaurant also serves both lunch and dinner. The bartender makes delicious mojitos, too. There is also a book exchange for guests to utilize when they finish the book they brought from home, and toys for children to borrow. The pool is particularly nice, with a sunshade covering part of it, and lounge chairs accompanied by umbrellas.
