Riad Madu Desert Camps, Merzouga

Fantastic experience - great, roomy accommodations, fantastic staff who worked hard to please and entertain us. The food was really good!

I am not use to glamping! This was the perfect elegance in the desert! Pure tranquility.

Overview
Riad Madu Desert Camps are an extension of Riad Madu, a traditional hotel in Hasilabied at the foot of the Erg Chebi sand dunes. You get the best of both worlds: a hotel with amenities and a desert experience—just plan for an hour's journey to get to the camps from the hotel. You can choose how many nights to stay at the riad or in one of the camps, premium or luxury. Either way, opt for meal service to taste the delicious local cuisine and enjoy evenings filled with traditional Berber music, drumming, and dancing under the stars.
When the time comes to head out to your camp, you'll do so with a camel ride through the dunes. Marvel at the breathtaking landscapes, then settle into your tent and immerse yourself in the unique Berber culture via a traditional dinner, music with a bonfire, and a sunrise dune climb.
The hotel offers 10 comfortable rooms and eight suites, plus premium and luxury tents if you opt for the desert experience. Each room and tent has a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, and free WiFi. You can choose from single rooms, double rooms, individual suites, and family suites. Many of our travelers have praised the comfort of the bedding and the ample space in the rooms. The tents at the luxury camp add private terraces.

This was the highlight of our trip, such a fabulous place to stay. Comfortable bests, hot showers and even wifi! The dinner and breakfast were delicious and the whole setup of the camp very cool. We took a camel ride to the camp and a 4 wheel drive back to our driver. Lots of fun!
