Langtang Trek - 8 Days

Langtang Valley
Views from the Langtang Valley trek

The Langtang Valley trek is a perennial favorite in Nepal, due to its expansive views, Tamang culture, relatively gentle pace and easy access from Kathmandu. The 2015 earthquake caused massive destruction in Langtang, and the valley was closed for visitors for over a year. Now that the trail and lodges have been rebuilt, Langtang is back. Trekking in this beautiful valley will support the people of Langtang by providing much-needed income to rebuild in a sustainable and secure way.

The Nar Phu trek takes trekkers into a pair of valleys tucked in between Manaslu and Annapurna regions. The trek is a true hidden gem with an authentic feel no longer found on many treks in Nepal. The Himalayan wilderness is awe-inspiring and you'll meet very few other trekkers on the trail.

Dawa our guide know well the track so no issue about being guided. Many new roads are being built so sometimes it was hard to find the right track. From the description of our trip, we went through a cheese factory village. Dawa didn't tell us and it is a bit disappointed that he never talked about life of people living in villages, how they sustain, what is their culture and values.
Amanda was welcoming before and after the treck and helpful for any question.

The local team did a great job taking care of us and helping with all our needs! This went beyond the organized part of the tour (buying trekking shoes our organizing transport out of Kathmandu) and we could always count on them

Amanda (with Himalayan Trails) was very helpful throughout the trek coordination process. She had timely replies, good advice, and helped me suss through all the many options for my Nepal hiking experience. Plus, she made the time to meet me in Kathmandu before I left with my guide. I'll strongly consider booking my next trek with Himalayan Trails.
