Spacious room with fridge and big bathroom. Great breakfasts and tasty dinner options. Close to glaciers and Diamond Beach.

Overcast day with some rain, rustic feel but all the luxury in the spa. Many different pool areas and able to do a cold plunge in the lake should you feel so inclined lol

Beautiful and great experience. More touristy than other locations. Glad we had a couple of different types of experiences to compare.

Guide was local and humorous.

The Zipline Iceland tour in Vik was a highlight of our trip. Sami and the other staff were very personable and knowledgeable, and were very careful with our safety, while providing a thrilling experience of four ziplines down the canyons. After the ziplines, they had a bungee jump that was really fun.

Blue Lagoon appointment time: 6:00pm on a Friday April 2025 was my family's first trip to Iceland and visit to Blue Lagoon. Jenny from KimKim conveniently booked the Blue Lagoon trip towards the end of my family's Iceland trip - it was a great way to enjoy a relaxed itinerary before heading home. This was also convenient because the next day morning, the drive to KEF airport was only 22km and this made it easy as I was traveling with kids - youngest 5 year old. Blue Lagoon Experience: When we arrived at Blue Lagoon - the line up from check-in was long. We waited in line for about 35mins. Some were able to skip line by going through express check-in but I did not receive this feature. However, express check-in did not do much since I noticed, reception was holding back people due to lack of locker availability. To me - Blue Lagoon felt more like a theme park - very crowded and long line. Blue Lagoon water temperature is pretty high. My 5 year old started complaining after about 15mins in the pool that he wanted to leave. I helped him move around to a slightly cooler area. Children are recommended to not stay longer than 45mins.

While we didn't get to enjoy this place as we arrived 2 hours late for our appointment, the front reception was very understanding and recommended we come back the next day morning. Our appointment was at 4pm but we arrived onsite closer to 6pm. My family was tired from our long hike at Thingvellier National Park and we lost track of time. The following morning due to our trip being in the opposite direction to where Secret Lagoon is located, we had no choice but to skip visiting this place. When we went to Secret Lagoon around 5:45pm, the place was still crowded but lot of people were seen leaving.

Very nice cute hotel in an even cuter town of Vik. We enjoyed our time. I highly recommend the Katlatrack tours especially Jake. The pizza spot is good for lunch or dinner especially if your are touring around and getting in late.

What a beautiful property. Such wonderfully helpful and nice people. Every single person that worked in the facility was attentive and helpful.

This place is unbelievable. Granted we stayed at the Fire Villa and thus our perspective was heavily swayed. Nonetheless, the staff and grounds are top notch. You will not be disappointed! To our Clara and our Chef, Cheers! We enjoyed every minute of our stay! Thank you!

Jake is a great guide. He was personable and fun. I highly recommend this company. The tour involves some of the most amazing photos that will ever decorate your walls.

Really amazing time. If you like action and enjoying the massive black sand beaches then this is heaven.

There is an upper and lower level, we were on the lower level which felt like walking into a basement with windows right at street level. The toilet ran the entire time we were there which was quite noisy. The kitchen area is a bit cramped, we ate out but our family of 4 could not have sat comfortably around the table. The living room and bedrooms were very spacious however. Street parking was no problem and it was an easy drive to the airport.

Definitely not worth the ~10 minutes off the main road to get to. We felt like we wasted an entire hour of driving and gas back and forth over 2 nights. There were permanent lights on around the perimeter of the building making it very bright at night, so didn't even have the benefit of darkness for Northern Light hunting. Paper thin walls and very small bathroom - no way for more than 1 person to be in at a time.

My favorite hotel on our trip - plenty of kitchen space (we cooked an entire dinner!) along with outdoor grill. Spacious bedrooms and plenty of room to stretch out in the living area as well as sit comfortably at the dinner table. Hot tub was a wonderful added bonus. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Great location, comfortable enough accommodations with kitchen conveniences. Parking was tricky - be prepared especially if you're arriving late and plan ahead for the nearest garage as you cannot count on street parking.

We did not see the lights, which we understood going into it but was still disappointing. Our guide (could not pronounce his Icelandic name but translates to reindeer so he said call him "Buck") tried many different locations including turning around at one point when a tip came to head in a different direction. He was very knowledgeable in teaching about the methods behind the "hunt". He was able to capture faint lights above us on a photo, which made it not feel like a total loss. The Jeep-side hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch.

Fun experience to see how the bread bakes underground. The guide allowed my sons to both help bury the next loaf, and they enjoyed that interactive portion. The view on the lake is beautiful. Plenty of portions of both the bread and fish.

Incredible experience - Thor was great!

Definitely a must - especially if traveling with kids. Highlight of the entire week for both my 8 and 12 year old sons.

So we did this on our last night in Iceland and it was a really nice way to end our trip. It's different from Blue Lagoon but very very nice. The seven step path is what makes it stand out as different from Blue Lagoon. The view from the sauna step is especially beautiful.

We really enjoyed this, especially Eddie, our guide who was a total character and an absolute hoot. The only complaint would be that the focus was heavily on getting photos -- which was great -- but it wasn't as adventurous as the glacier hike. Still, it was beautiful and a lot of fun.

This was really amazing ... and Elly our guide was terrific. She really read the group well; everyone was willing to be a little adventurous and so we got to use the ropes to see deep into crevasses. Lots of great information about how the glacier has changed.

We did this right after getting off the plane, which was Othman's recommendation. It is, as he said, a miracle cure for jet lag. I was worried it would be kitschy but it's a must do.

Clean, neat, homey. Great location!

Lagoon looks out over the ocean. Very picturesque. Nice spa walkthrough with cold plunge, sauna, salt scrub, steam room, and health juice at the end. It was a bit crowded and seemed to draw a young adult crowd.

Very cool hiking on the glacier. The guides were knowledgeable and tried hard to keep everyone safe and to have a good time.

This was ok. Since the baking area is outside, I don’t recommend doing this in rainy, or otherwise unpleasant weather. The bread and food sapling was very good.

Fantastic experience! Visibility of the water was phenomenal! Company supplied very necessary dry suit and took underwater pictures for a small price.

Great trip! Saw two pods of orcas and two humpback whales. Tour company supplied everyone with very necessary insulated wind and waterproof clothing. The boat was a decent size but not like a loud ferry boat; not too crowded. The crew was knowledgeable and very careful not to stress out the whales. Would recommend them.

It was crowded, small, and not very exciting. It was pretty, and the history was interesting, but ultimately not worth the time.

This is a wonderful hotel , walking distance to many interesting sites.

For three hours out on the rough seas we saw nothing but birds, no whales. I know there is no guarantee that you will and we were offered free tickets to try again in the future. Many people were sick even though tablets were offered at the start (poor crew who have the unenviable job to clean up)

This was breathtaking. So incredible to know you are inside one of the glaciers

My favourite, smaller and more intimate than Blue Lagoon

Beautiful spot to stop for a couple of days. The restaurant has great food. The person at the front desk called the national transportation service to check on road conditions for us (above and beyond!). And we saw the northern lights while staying here.

This was my favourite hotel of the trip - beautiful interior, super comfortable beds, including a massive pillow for reading in bed.

Very comfortable rooms (beds were very nice) and great location right next to the public swimming pool (highly recommend going for a dip at night!)

Clean and in a good location to walk to everything with easy parking nearby. Appreciated that they let us check in early

Really enjoyed being able to jump in the lake and then move right into the hot tubs. The rain walk outside the steam room was highly refreshing - really appreciated the different temperatures one could move between and experience.

Truly beautiful view. I literally soaked and stared across the sea for hours! Wish there had been a sauna (not just a steam room) and a cold plunge, but to just relax and absorb the view was very relaxing.

Favourite hot spring visit of the trip - beautiful view at sunset, great sauna and cold plunge, yummy smoothie, relaxed atmosphere, and a really nice extra warm hot spring area.

Seven Step ritual was lovely, the entrance to the pools was stunning, and the view was beautiful. I found it very crowded with many people taking photos and there were a lot of cups left lying around which detracted from being able to relax. The sauna was amazing and I really wish we’d been able to go into it more than once.

We had a wonderful stay at Skuggi Hotel. Staff was very welcoming, friendly, and our rooms had everything we needed. The hotel was downtown and we were able to walk almost everywhere we needed to go and were able to pick up the bus for our day-trips right around the corner. The hotel was a perfect location, very cozy and we would definitely go back on our next trip to Iceland!

As we were on a group excursion and we were unable to select the hotel we were staying at, I was a little nervous about what to expect at our stay at Adventure Geirland but it had everything we needed. There is no TV in the rooms which was a surprise, but was actually really nice to give you an 'off-grid' feel (there was a TV in the lounge area if you were staying in the main building but no one used it, as everyone mainly was hunting Northern Lights at night). When we arrived, we had dinner as a group (with those who wanted to attend) and you were able to pick your meals + drinks a la carte off the menu. The hotel staff was SO friendly and gave us some tips on how we could see the Northern Lights from the hotel. Even though we had a very cloudy week, they didn't take away all our hope - "if you can see one star, there's a chance" :) Overall, we had a great experience!

Black beach was really cool to see in person and we even caught a glimpse of a rainbow right when we got to the waterfall. Both stops were beautiful!

Definitely my favorite excursion with amazing tour guides! This was such a unique experience and so incredibly beautiful. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, patient, and quick to snap photos for us to capture the memory. My only regret was not bringing along our water bottle so we could re-fill on the Glacier! Such a cool experience and I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Iceland!

This was definitely my favorite day of the entire trip. Such breathtaking sights, really can't see anything like it!

We truly enjoyed all the stops on this trip, with no thanks to our Driver Guide who didn't really add a lot of value to our experience. Stopping at the waterfall and to see the geisers were awesome and we did also stop in a Lava Field before hitting our hotel which was such a cool experience. Unfortunately, we were in Iceland on a cloudy week and the chances of seeing the Northern Lights were really slim, even though we were out in the country, which was a bummer but nothing that could be controlled by anyone!

Snorkeling in Silfra was such a beautiful and unique experience. We went out on a very cloudy/rainy day and I wasn't expecting the water to be so blue! The water was crystal clear and our guide GC was so friendly. Getting into the wetsuit was the hardest part but it definitely kept us warm!

We had such a great trip with our driver guide, Christopher! We had such a great experience from each of the stops to the Saga stories our guide told us in between. Our favorite part was the Lava Cave tour but truly enjoyed each of the places we stopped at. Overall, this was such a great experience and we wish we could have kept our Guide for all of our excursions on our trip!

We went to the Sky Lagoon on our first day, so while we were beyond exhausted, it definitely did help wake us up! While the Lagoon itself is beautiful, I was anticipating it to be a more 'private' experience going through the ritual. We enjoyed the beauty of the spa, but just wish it could have been a little more private experience.

It was okay for one night. Very much like a dorm ( twin beds). Dinner was good but a bit more expensive than I would have thought. Room was clean but no tech (plugs/TV etc.). Breakfast was okay.

Nice place to stay. Great location. Good breakfast. Highly recommended if you like walking. Distance to shops and restaurants. Staff was very nice.

Unfortunately, this activity was canceled and we never knew why. The whale watching place advised that they did not have our email or we would’ve been notified sooner. Had we been notified sooner I would not have checked out of the hotel.

Had lots of fun. The Icelandic horses are adorable. Our guide was very informative. Would definitely do it again.

Our driver was awesome. He was not rigid and didn’t care if we came back a few minutes late. He was very clear about where we would be stopping and for how long and didn’t get any one on the tour crap because they came back a few minutes late. He had some very interesting Information about the stuff we were passing, as well as a story about his mother and an island volcano.

It was OK. Our driver was kind of meh. Six people did not understand where we were supposed to meet, myself included, and he kept questioning us as to what we didn’t understand. Clearly, I was not the only one who did not understand the meeting, place. He seemed pissed that we couldn’t go to the dopey tomato farm. Other than the driver, it was nice to visit all of the locations.

Very nice. Especially after an overnight flight. Staff was very nice and it was extremely relaxing.
